Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the outdoor study method assisted by sticky notes media on the ability to write descriptive essays of grade IV students of SDN Bulak Banteng 1/263 Surabaya. This study is a quantitative experimental study. The research design used is Posttest-Only Control Design. The posttest was used to determine the results of class 4D which was given treatment and class 4C which was not given treatment. This study took place at SDN Bulak Banteng 1/263 Surabaya. The subjects in this study were grade 4 students, especially 4C and 4D in the 2024/2025 academic year with 48 students. The data collection technique was a test and the instrument used was a posttest. This is evidenced by the value of the T-test results which show the t count posttest of the control class and the experimental class of 4.630 and t table 1.697 so that 4.630> 1.697 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, it can be interpreted that the hypothesis is accepted based on the assumptions of the previous hypothesis.

Abstract

This studies is influenced with the low results of science studying of class students 5 elementary school. The low science learning outcomes are affected by many factors. This factors include the studying environment in the form of strategies created by the teacher to optimize the potential of students in studying science. The aim of this studies is to determine the impact of problem based learning on science studying results for fifth grade students at Sumur Welut III Public Elementary School Surabaya. This learn uses a quantitative experimental method with a quasi-experimental design using a posttest-only control group design. The population of this study were students of class A and B at Sumur Welut III Public Elementary School Surabaya with a total of 46 children. The data collection method used is a testing. Giving the test in question is a posttest which is carried out after learning. The data analysis techniques used are the normality test, the homogeneity test, and the t-test. Based on the results of the survey, it was shown that the application of problem based learning influenced the learning outcomes of the fifth grade students in Sumur Welut III Public Elementary School Surabaya. This is indicated by the average difference in the scientific learning results between the experimental and control classes.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry pada mata kuliah pembelajaran terpadu melalui program LSLC. Program LSLC merupakan program pengembangan profesionalitas dosen dalam proses pelaksanaan perkuliahan. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembalajaran inquiry pada mata kuliah pembelajaran terpadu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa selama proses perkuliahan mata kuliah pembelajaran terpadu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inquiry. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di kelas A dan B mahasiswa PGSD Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya angkatan 2015. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari proses plan, do, dan see. Pada tahap plan, dosen model mempersiapkan pelaksanaan proses perkuliahan dengan membuat Satuan Acara Perkuliahan, chapter design, lesson design, ringkasan materi, lembar evaluasi, dan media. Selanjutnya pada tahap do, melaksanakan perencanaan yang telah dibuat, dengan menghadirkan lima observer untuk membantu mengobservasi respon mahasiswa selama proses perkuliahan berlangsung. Tahap terakhir yaitu see, dari tahapan tersebut dosen model bersama para observer melaksanakan refleksi dengan melakukan focus group discussion untuk mendiskusikan informasi terkait respon mahasiswa selama proses perkuliahan, juga masukan-masukan yang membangun untuk dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan perbaikan proses perkuliahan selanjutnya. Proses plan, do dan see dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Siklus pertama dilaksanakan pada kelas 2015A dan siklus kedua dilakukan di kelas 2015 B. Data yang terkumpul berupa angket respon yang diisikan observer, selanjutnya dianalisis dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian tentang respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry pada mata kuliah pembelajaran terpadu menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif dari mahasiswa. Hal tersebut terlihat dari antusiasme mahasiswa dalam mengikuti setiap proses perkuliahan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode mind mapping berbantuan media sticky notes terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan penelitian berbentuk Posttest-Only Control Design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil analisis uji normalitas pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh sig. 0,200 > 0,05 dan kelas kontrol diperoleh 0,056 > 0,05 hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Hasil analisis uji homogenitas diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,075 > 0,05 hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas homogen. Uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test dengan diperoleh hasil Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan, adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan metode mind mapping berbantuan media sticky notes terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik kelas IV SD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini terjadi karena kurangnya kemampuan menulis tahap awal pada siswa kelas rendah khususnya siswa kelas 1 SD. Kurangnya kemampuan menulis permulaan pada siswa juga disebabkan oleh minimnya mekanisme dan media yang dipakai pengajar. Sebuah contoh mekanisme dan media yang mendukung pada pembelajaran menulis permulaan adalah metode silaba dengan berbantuan media flashcard. Riset ini dimaksudkan guna memahami efek metode silaba berbantuan media flashcard mengenai kemampuan menulis permulaan siswa kelas 1 SD Harapan. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif beserta design penelitian One Group Pre-test Post-test. Sampel yang dipakai meliputi 23 siswa kelas 1 SD Harapan. Teknik pengoleksian informasi dengan tes tulis berupa pretest dan posttest yang dilakukan sebelum perlakuan dan sesudah perlakuan. Adapun pengkajian data yang dipakai yaitu uji normalitas, uji homgenitas dan uji hipotesis dengan jenis paired samples test. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil signifikan uji t dengan nilai signifikansi (sig.2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak.

Abstract

The purpose of the Community Service activity by the team of lecturers of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya is to improve teacher competency in knowledge, designing tools, designing deep learning assessments. Teachers who participated in this workshop were able to understand the concept and practice of deep learning better, and were able to implement it in good practice in their respective classes. The results of the analytical discussion that has been described above, it can be concluded that all teachers who participated in the PPM activity by the team of lecturers of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program were able to improve their ability to understand the urgency of deep learning, design and use deep learning learning tools. good practice experience of deep learning, development of deep learning learning assessments, and improve the skills of compiling deep learning assessments in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ability to write naration discourse by using media picture in fifth grade students at SDN Dukuh Menanggal I/424 Surabaya. The research design uses a quantitative approach and the type of research is descriptive statistics. The results of the study in general showed that the ability to write naration discourse by using media picture in fifth grade students at SDN Dukuh Menanggal I/424 Surabaya, namely 14 students (50%) were very capable, 7 students (25%) were able, and 7 students (25%) quite capable. As for specifically the abilities of students in (1) detailing and sorting events chronologically, namely (a) on the indicator detailing events 15 students (54%) were able, 13 students (46%) were quite capable; (b) the indicators order events chronologically, namely 20 students (71%) are capable, 8 students (29%) are quite capable; (2) using language, namely (a) on the indicator of the use of letters only 1 student (3.5%) is capable, 1 student (3.5%) is quite capable, 26 students (93%) are not able; (b) on the word choice indicator, 16 students (57.1%) were able, 11 students (39.3%) were quite capable, 1 student (3.6%) was not able; (c) on the indicator of using sentences, 17 students (61%) were able, 10 students (36%) were quite capable, 1 student (3%) was not able.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the "Digital Forest Predator Game" (DFPG), a digital escape room game designed to teach food web concepts to elementary students in Indonesia. Despite increasing integration of technology in education, elementary students continue to struggle with abstract ecological concepts, particularly in developing countries where both infrastructural and pedagogical barriers exist. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with a one-shot case study design, this research evaluated the implementation of DFPG among 27 fifth-grade students in Surabaya. Data collection employed student response questionnaires that measured three dimensions (interest/motivation, active involvement, and learning effectiveness), as well as concept comprehension tests. Results revealed positive student responses across all dimensions (Interest/Motivation: 3.2/4, Learning Effectiveness: 3.1/4, Active Involvement: 3.0/4) and strong learning outcomes with 70.4% of students achieving high scores (80-100 range) and a mean score of 84.36. The findings demonstrate that interactive digital games effectively bridge the gap between abstract ecological concepts and elementary students' understanding while simultaneously fostering digital literacy and problem-solving skills. This research contributes to educational science by providing empirical evidence of gamification's effectiveness in elementary ecology education and establishing a practical framework for integrating technology in resource-constrained educational settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V di SDN Dukuh Menanggal 1. Menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental dengan nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest, sebanyak 51 siswa berpartisipasi, terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen (n=26) dan kontrol (n=25). Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model SFAE, sedangkan kelas kontrol memakai metode konvensional. Tes keterampilan berbicara dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, mencakup lafal, intonasi, kelancaran, sikap, dan pemahaman materi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen (t(49) = 5.428, p < 0.001, d = 1.52) dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 65.8 menjadi 82.5, dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang hanya meningkat dari 64.3 menjadi 70.8. Model SFAE efektif meningkatkan partisipasi, kepercayaan diri, dan kolaborasi siswa, meskipun tantangan dalam manajemen waktu dan kelas perlu diperbaiki. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan bertahap dan penyesuaian sistem penilaian.

Abstract

Literasi sains mendukung kurikulum sains yang sekarang ini berlaku dalam pembelajaran tematik, khususnya di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Jenis literasi sains dalam pembelajaran IPA SD; (2) Kemampuan literasi sains siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA SD; (3) Hasil pengembangan instrumen literasi sains untuk pembelajaran siswa SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan metode deskriptif eksplotif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas IV dan Kelas V SDN Wonokusumo yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Mojosari, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar wawancara semi terstruktur untuk memperoleh data penggunaan literasi sains selama pembelajaran di kelas dan memperoleh data penguasaan siswa terhadap materi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Peneliti mendeskripsikan setiap aktivitas yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan hasil wawancara.
