Abstract

Clean and healthy living behaviours (PHBS) are habits practised by individuals or families that enable them to take independent action on health issues and play an active role in health initiatives both within the family and in the community. PHBS can start with oneself and one's family through clean and healthy habits in daily life. The implementation of PHBS is also an important step in preventing various diseases in children, especially diseases that are difficult to prevent, one of which is stunting. The target audience for this outreach programme was housewives in Kampung Sidomulyo RT 002/RW 13. The outreach programme was conducted through presentations and discussions. Before the outreach programme was implemented, a pre-test questionnaire was administered to determine the level of knowledge about PHBS related to stunting. Then, outreach material on household PHBS and clean water was provided. Following the presentation of the material, a discussion session and post-test were conducted to assess the level of understanding of the material provided. The results of the respondents' knowledge before the PHBS counselling (pre-test) were 5.12%, and the results of the respondents' knowledge after the PHBS counselling (post-test) were 5.94%. Socialisation of PHBS to housewives has been proven to increase their knowledge about the importance of implementing clean and healthy living behaviours in the household environment. This increased understanding plays an important role in encouraging the adoption of daily healthy habits, which not only maintain family hygiene and health, but also serve as a strategic step in preventing stunting in children. With better knowledge, housewives can play an active role as the main drivers of family and community health.

Abstract

R is a programming language, open-source, developed by various of the world's most active statisticians with powerful function and visualization for data analysis from simple to complex data such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. Data visualization technologies have the ability to assist public health professionals with decision-making. Visualization appears to help decision making by increasing the quantity of information communicated and reducing the cognitive and intellectual strain of processing information. There are numerous commercially available statistical software packages that are widely utilized by epidemiologists worldwide. For industrialized nations, the price of software is not a significant issue. However, for underdeveloped nations, the true expenses are frequently excessive. Some academics in developing nations rely on software that has been illegally copied a copy of the software program. There are several benefits to using R, including the possibility of using software packages for free (open source) and the volume and availability of software packages. It is simple to retain and repeat commands on the same data analysis with multiple data frames, facilitating the work of health monitoring officers who frequently analyze data with similar variables but at different times.

Abstract

The consumption of detrimental products, such as cigarettes, has a significant impact on health financing. Smoking is a detrimental practice that has negative effects on health, and the medical expenses linked to smoking-related ailments are considerable. In response, many countries have established cigarette excise laws with the aim of mitigating the adverse effects of smoking on public health and health financing. The implementation of cigarette excise taxes has resulted in a notable reduction in cigarette consumption, an increase in government revenue, and the funding of health programmes. This study aimed to enhance the understanding of the role of tobacco excise laws in promoting sustainable health financing. This study involved the review of 8 papers, and it was conducted following the guidelines of PRISMA-P, 2015 for systematic reviews. A comprehensive literature search was conducted utilizing multiple databases, including PubMed, EBSCO, and ScienceDirect. The tobacco excise management policy has generally aligned with its intended objectives. However, certain aspects, such as reducing consumption, allocation amounts, tariff patterns, and burdens, have yet to be fully effective. Therefore, it is necessary to implement strategic measures to enhance adequacy, such as increasing the pattern of excise tariffs and allocations and ensuring accountability and transparency in implementation.

Abstract

The issue of adolescent smoking represents a significant challenge to global public health, contributing markedly to the burden of disease and mortality on a global scale. Despite the implementation of numerous strategies to reduce tobacco consumption, the prevalence of smoking among adolescents remains a significant concern, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The use of tobacco during adolescence not only increases the risk of developing chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer but also presents challenges to smoking cessation due to the addictive properties of nicotine and the sociocultural factors influencing youth behavior. This paper is expected to offer valuable insights into the potential of technology-based solutions to support smoking cessation among adolescents, contributing to broader efforts to reduce tobacco-related morbidity and mortality on a global scale.

Abstract
