Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara Province has potential seaweed resources. This study aims to analyze the yield of carrageenan at different cultivation ages. West nusa tenggara province has an area for seaweed cultivation of 25,206.6 ha. The area is spread over the districts of East Lombok, west Lombok, central Lombok, Sumbawa, Dompu, Bima, the city of Mataram, the city of Bima, west Sumbawa and north Lombok. Seaweed is a chlorophyll plant and is classified as a low-level plant that has no true roots, stems or leaves, but only resembles a stem called a thalus. This research was conducted in Ekas Bay, Ekas Buana Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok, and West Nusa Tenggara. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments: P1: 15 days, P2: 25 days, P3: 35 days, and P4: 45 days. The yield of K. alvarezii carrageenan obtained the highest score in treatment (P4), which was 53.4%. The chlorophyll content of K. alvarezii seaweed obtained the highest value in treatment (P4), namely 5.1 mg/L. Based on the results of research data analysis, it was found that the different cultivation ages of Kappaphycus alvarezii had a significant effect on absolute growth, specific growth and no significant effect on carrageenan content. In this study, the P4 treatment (45 days) obtained an absolute growth of 149 g, a specific growth of 5.46%, and a carrageenan content of 53.4%, and the best chlorophyll content value was 5.1 mg/L. The conclusion of this study is the best maintenance in this study, namely treatment P4 (45 days) obtained absolute growth of 149 grams, specific growth of 5.46%, and carrageenan content of 53.4%, and the best value of chlorophyll content is 5.1 mg /l.

Abstract

This article tries to explain the use of information technology for the NTB Care application as a digital media for responding to public complaints. Three dimensions are measured to determine the effective implementation of NTB Care in resolving public complaint services: the Ease of Use dimension, the Trust dimension and the Reliability dimension. The research uses a comparative descriptive method with a qualitative approach and literature analysis by collecting data from official NTB government documents, the NTB Care data center, the NTB Care Website, the NTB care Facebook, and other literature related to NTB Care. The results showed that the use of the NTB Care application as a medium for responding to public complaints was good and received excellent public trust, but the obstacles faced were in the agency that became the goal of the problems raised by the community, the average response time for OPD in handling complaints that come in 1-120 days. There is no clarity regarding reports that have not been followed up on to be resolved. NTB Care is an application as a forum to accommodate the community's aspirations; then, the NTB Care admin will forward public complaints to the relevant agency or OPD based on the complaint problem who entered NTB Care.

Abstract

The Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is considered a very important tourism destination. However, its management faces problems such as the centralization of ITDC authority, limited community participation, and poor service quality in various areas.  In this situation, service quality evaluation must be carried out comprehensively using an approach that can see multi-actor dynamics.  The purpose of this study is to examine how the application of the SERVQUAL model helps improve tourism service quality in the Mandalika SEZ and to identify how ITDC, the Central Lombok Tourism Office, and Pokdarwis contribute to the five main dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interview and participatory observation techniques, thematic analysis assisted by NVivo 12 Plus.  The results show that ITDC authorities dominate the tangibles dimension through infrastructure development and area aesthetics, while trust, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy are more influenced by regional institutional capacity and community empowerment, including human resource training, provision of information centers, organization of cultural activities, and development of community-based ecotourism. The results show that physical development is not the only factor contributing to service quality improvement; institutional coordination, investment in human resources, and strengthening the role of the community are all factors that contribute to service quality improvement.  This study finds that SERVQUAL has the ability to explain the configuration of Mandalika's service governance and serves as the basis for a more inclusive and sustainable service improvement model in destinations with a multi-actor structure. Abstract

The phenomenon of celebrity politicians' involvement in the 2024 elections in Indonesia marks a new dynamic in the political system, which is increasingly oriented towards popularity rather than representative ability. The increasing participation of public figures from the entertainment industry reflects a paradigm shift in electoral democracy, where political legitimacy is no longer determined solely by political credibility and capacity, but by the ability to build an image and emotional closeness with the public. This study aims to analyze how celebrity politicians build and maintain political legitimacy through communication strategies and narrative construction on social media during the 2024 elections. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method based on content analysis with a thematic analysis approach processed using NVivo 12 Plus software. Data were obtained from secondary sources such as documentation, scientific literature, and online media reports. The use of NVivo made it easier for researchers to identify main themes, map communication patterns, and analyze the symbolic constructions used by celebrities in shaping public perceptions of their political legitimacy. The results show that the strengthening of the political party dimension only reached about 30%, while most celebrities were chosen because of their popularity, not their contribution to party ideology or cadre development. This condition shows that the legitimacy obtained by celebrity politicians is symbolic and temporary, oriented towards image rather than substantial capacity. The 2024 general election thus confirms the weakness of the Indonesian political system in balancing political personalization and democratic quality. Without serious reforms in political education, accountability, and party recruitment, Indonesian democracy has the potential to stagnate in terms of formal legitimacy without improvement in the quality of governance.

Abstract

Tourism development in Central Lombok Regency has experienced significant acceleration following the designation of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) as a national super-priority tourism destination. Despite its positive impact on economic growth and investment, this tourism development has not yet fully provided equitable benefits to local communities, particularly buffer-village communities. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of community-based tourism governance from a perspective beyond sustainability, emphasizing the roles of actors, network relationships, and opportunities to strengthen Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in Central Lombok Regency. The study used a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and a review of regional planning documents. Data analysis was conducted using a Social Network Analysis (SNA) approach to map the structure and roles of actors in tourism governance. The results show that the tourism governance network remains centralized on institutional actors and area managers, while local communities are in a peripheral position. The results show that the tourism governance network remains centralized on institutional actors and area managers, while local communities are positioned at the periphery. However, this study is limited by its focus on a single regional case and the use of cross-sectional network data, which restricts the ability to capture longitudinal governance dynamics and comparative patterns across destinations. Future research is therefore recommended to employ multi-site comparative designs and longitudinal Social Network Analysis to examine how governance structures evolve and to assess the impacts of policy interventions on community empowerment. In addition, integrating quantitative socio-economic indicators with network analysis would provide a more comprehensive understanding of how governance configurations influence livelihood outcomes. Such extensions would strengthen empirical evidence for advancing regenerative tourism models that genuinely place local communities at the center of tourism development.
