Abstract

This study examines the legal responsibilities of colleges in managing plagiarism cases within their contexts. The primary aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of internal regulatory frameworks related to plagiarism, the role of detection technology, the level of awareness within the academic community, case management practices, and the potential legal consequences. The research employs a library research methodology with a descriptive-analytical framework, involving an extensive review of literature and analysis of institutional policies. The findings reveal that while many colleges have established internal regulations to address plagiarism, there are significant deficiencies in their implementation, particularly concerning policy dissemination and enforcement of sanctions. Plagiarism detection technologies, such as Turnitin, are crucial for identifying instances of academic misconduct; however, their effectiveness depends on the proper understanding and application by both faculty and students. The study also highlights variations in the understanding of plagiarism among students and faculty, emphasizing the need for more comprehensive and nuanced educational programs.

Abstract

This study investigates the efforts of Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers in addressing the difficulties faced by seventh-grade students in reading the Qur'an at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Masyariqul Anwar, Ngronggot. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, gathering data through observations, interviews, and document analysis from teachers and students. The findings reveal that students struggle with various aspects of Qur'anic reading, including recognizing the transformation of connected Hijaiyah letters, proper pronunciation with correct makhraj, distinguishing between long and short vowels, and applying Tajweed rules. To overcome these challenges, teachers are encouraged to adopt engaging teaching methods, create a conducive learning environment, and emphasize the significance of the Qur'an in a Muslim's life. These strategies are crucial in improving students' Qur'anic literacy and fostering a deeper connection with the holy text.

Abstract

Abstract

Incorporating global competencies into teacher training is a vital strategy to equip educators with the skills necessary to meet the demands of 21st-century classrooms. These competencies—such as global awareness, intercultural communication, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding—play a crucial role in creating inclusive and dynamic learning environments. This study adopts a library research approach, analyzing various academic sources, journals, and reports relevant to teacher training and the development of global competencies. The research aims to emphasize the significance of these competencies in teacher preparation, explore effective teaching methods, identify challenges in implementation, and assess their effects on both educators and students. The findings indicate that experiential learning and the integration of educational technology are among the most effective strategies for fostering global competencies in teacher training programs. Despite these advances, obstacles such as limited resources, inadequate funding, and a shortage of qualified trainers remain challenges. Teachers who complete this training demonstrate better management of classroom diversity and are more adept at teaching global issues. Students taught by these educators show improvements in critical thinking and social empathy. This study highlights the need for policies that support global competency-based teacher training, the creation of interactive training materials, and the promotion of international collaborations. The results suggest that a comprehensive approach to educational reform is essential for preparing teachers to meet the evolving needs of contemporary classrooms and to build inclusive, sustainable societies.

Abstract

The tradition of kitab kuning studies in pesantren faces effectiveness challenges in the digital era, primarily due to the limited use of technology and low digital literacy among students and instructors. This community service initiative aims to optimize kitab kuning learning management, enhance instructor capacity, facilitate digital access, and build a structured evaluation system. Using a participatory action research method, this activity focuses on training, mentoring, utilizing digital kitab applications, and online evaluation. Data was collected through observation, interviews, activity documentation, and Google Forms. The subjects of this initiative were students and ustadz from Pondok Pesantren Bustanul Ulum Krai Lumajang and Fatihul Ulum Klatakan Tanggul Jember. These individuals were familiar with digital devices but had not yet optimally used them for kitab learning activities. The program successfully optimized the classic approach to kitab kuning learning while integrating digital technology. Furthermore, there was an increase in the capacity of lecturers and instructors, as well as mentorship for students. As a result, students showed holistic development (cognitive, affective, psychomotor), and a transformation in learning management occurred within the partner pesantren. This transformation followed Lewin's three stages of change: unfreezing (opening up to technology), changing (implementing an integrative learning system), and refreezing (standardizing new adaptive and value-based patterns). This initiative also produced various digital literacy products and workshops, serving as platforms for reflection, evaluation, reinforcing pesantren values, and strengthening value-based innovation management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the development of a multicultural curriculum can enhance student tolerance at SMA Trenggalek. The main focus of the research is on the implementation of a multicultural curriculum that includes the integration of multicultural content into various subjects, extracurricular activities that support diversity, and specialized training for teachers. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach, involving school principals, teachers, students, and staff as research subjects. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically. The findings indicate that the implementation of a multicultural curriculum at SMA Trenggalek has a significant positive impact on students' attitudes towards tolerance. The integration of multicultural content in subjects such as Indonesian language and history helps students understand and appreciate cultural diversity and the nation's history. Extracurricular activities like cultural festivals and interfaith discussions serve as platforms for students to interact and learn firsthand about various cultures and beliefs. Additionally, intensive teacher training ensures that multicultural values are effectively applied in the teaching process. The impact of the multicultural curriculum is evident in the increased tolerance among students, the reduction of conflicts between students from different backgrounds, and the creation of a more inclusive learning environment. Students become more open to differences, reducing prejudice and stereotypes, and are more active in collaborating with peers from diverse backgrounds.
