Abstract

Kekeringan adalah salah satu bencana alam yang terjadi secara perlahan berlangsung lama hingga musim hujan tiba yang mempunyai dampak yang luas. Salah satu dampak kekeringan pada bidang pertanian pernah terjadi pada kabupaten Indragiri Hulu pada tahun 2015. Daerah irigasi (D.I) Kelayang merupakan daerah irigasi potensial yang mengairi wilayah pertanian di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu. Untuk menanggulangi dampak kekeringan untuk masa yang akan datang perlu dilakukan peramalan indeks kekeringan. Indeks kekeringan sangat bergantung pada curah hujan. Untuk itu dilakukan peramalan curah hujan D.I Kelayang menggunakan metode Seasonal Autogressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) karena diduga curah hujan merupakan data yang mengandung pola musiman. Kemudian dilakukan analisis indeks kekeringan menggunakan metode Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI). Hasil penelitian diperoleh model SARIMA (2,0,1)(0,1,1)12 merupakan model yang layak digunakan untuk peramalan karena telah melewati uji kerandoman dan kenormalan residual dengan mean squared dari residual yang terkecil yakni 4111,51. Setelah data peramalan curah hujan tahun 2019 didapatkan, dilakukan analisa indeks kekeringan dan diperoleh indeks SPI bernilai negatif yang tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Januari yaitu -0,252, sedangkan SPI bernilai positif tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Juli yaitu sebesar 0,169. Indeks kekeringan di D.I Kelayang bersifat “Normal”. Peramalan indeks kekeringan ini dapat menjadi informasi tambahan bagi Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the anxiety of students of mathematics education study program towards HOTS mathematics problems. This anxiety affected the quality of their thought processes. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the thought processes of students with anxiety feeling about HOTS math problems based on Mason's work phases, namely entry, attack, and review. This research was a qualitative descriptive research. The datas in this study were obtained from mathematics anxiety questionnaire, HOTS mathematics test and interviews. Based on the analysis of the data collected, it could be concluded that students with high levels of anxiety fulfill the phase “entry“ only on aspect “want”, the phase “attack” was only in the aspect ”try”, but did not meet the phase “review”. Students with moderate levels of anxiety met the phase “entry” at aspect “know”, “want” and “introduce”, phase “attack” on the aspect “try” and “maybe”, but did not meet the phase “review”. Students with low anxiety levels met the phase “entry” at aspect “know”, “want” and “introduce”, the phase “attack” on the aspects “try”, “maybe” and “introduce”, but also does not meet the phase “review”.

Abstract

This research is motivated and conducted to address the problem of low numeracy literacy among students and the limited electronic-based learning media with game-based methods. The urgency of this research is crucial because low numeracy literacy can affect students' ability to solve mathematical problems in their daily lives and the future. The lack of engaging learning media can also affect students' interest in learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop an electronic Mathemagic handout based on numeracy literacy. The development model used in this research is the DDD-E model. The developed handout product has been validated twice by material and media validators. After revising it based on their suggestions and inputs, the average validation score obtained is 87.1%. These results indicate that the developed electronic Mathemagic handout based on numeracy literacy meets the perfect validation criteria. The solution offered by this research is to develop an engaging mathematical learning media using game-based methods to improve students' numeracy literacy. It is hoped that the electronic Mathemagic handout based on numeracy literacy can help increase students' interest and learning ability in mathematics. As a result, students can be more confident and have sufficient ability to solve mathematical problems in their daily lives and the future. The study implies that educators and policymakers can consider implementing the electronic Mathemagic handout in their teaching methods to enhance students' numeracy, literacy, and interest in mathematics. Additionally, the study underscores the importance of using innovative and engaging approaches in teaching to foster a love for learning and improve academic outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta pengetahuan matematika santri di Panti Asuhan Aisyiah melalui kegiatan pembuatan Pojok Literasi Numerasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah demonstrasi dan diskusi kelompok. Ruangan belajar santri di panti dirubah menjadi sebuah pojok literasi numerasi yang didekorasi dengan media pembelajaran matematika. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Juni 2022 dan melibatkan santri dan pembina di Panti Asuhan Aisyiah sebagai sasaran. Setelah melaksanakan kegiatan, angket yang disebar menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan santri yang tinggi dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 4,15. Selain itu, santri dan pembina juga menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi terhadap kedatangan tim dan meminta adanya bimbingan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembuatan Pojok Literasi Numerasi efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta pengetahuan matematika santri di Panti Asuhan Aisyiah. Rekomendasi dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk melanjutkan bimbingan lanjutan guna semakin mendorong semangat dan keterampilan belajar matematika santri di Panti Asuhan Aisyiah

Farmers are concerned about the problem of drought in agriculture because it will disrupt the production system and cause losses. In 2015, the Indragiri Hulu area experienced a drought on 273 hectares of agricultural land. This area is part of the Indragiri River Watershed in Riau Province. To prevent the impact of future droughts, forecasting is required. The level of drought is influenced by rainfall, so the Seasonal Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) method is used to model rainfall data. In addition, the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) is also used to analyze the drought index. After the analysis, it was found that the best model in forecasting is SARIMA model (1,0,1)(2,1,1)12 with an average residual square of 18.0175, and the drought index in the Indragiri watershed is currently included in the  "Normal" category. The results of this forecasting are expected to assist the Riau Province National Disaster Management Agency in anticipating and mitigating the impact of future drought disasters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi aplikasi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pendidikan matematika dan dampaknya. Dengan metode studi literatur, peneliti menyelidiki penerapan AR dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil menunjukkan AR memperkaya pengalaman belajar dengan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pemahaman, terutama dalam visualisasi konsep kompleks seperti geometri ruang dan grafik fungsi. AR juga meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan hasil belajar. Kemampuan AR mengonversi konsep abstrak menjadi visualisasi 3D memudahkan siswa memahami materi dari perspektif berbeda. AR juga mendukung siswa dengan kesulitan belajar, dengan menyajikan visualisasi yang memudahkan pemahaman konsep. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam menerapkan AR, seperti kebutuhan sumber daya, pelatihan guru, dan integrasi ke kurikulum yang ada. Solusinya melibatkan pelatihan intensif bagi guru, peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi, dan riset lebih lanjut untuk materi AR khusus matematika. Sebagai kesimpulan, AR menawarkan potensi besar dalam pendidikan matematika, tetapi diperlukan kolaborasi antara peneliti, pendidik, dan praktisi untuk integrasi yang optimal.

Abstract

Padang city has been in the red zone (high risk) and orange zone (medium risk) against the transmission of the Covid-19 virus for several months. This is due to the lack of community discipline in complying with health protocols. The existence of the Andalas University Hospital Laboratory in Padang City which has the tools to issue the SWAB test results also results in data being obtained very quickly and data collection is more accurate. To predict the number of new cases of Covid-19 patients, research on forecasting is necessary. One method that can be used is the Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average method or abbreviated as SARIMA. This method was chosen because the data shows a weekly seasonal pattern. The data used are daily data from 2 August 2020 to 6 January 2021 obtained from the Padang City Health Office . The results showed that the SARIMA (0,1,1) (0,1,1) 7 model is the best model with parameter estimates that are significantly different from zero, so that it fulfills the white noise assumption with a Means Squared Error value of 3.46731. Forecasting results for the next month show that cases of Covid-19 patients are still fluctuating, ranging from 20 to 66 people. For this reason, efforts from the local government of the City of Padang are needed in disciplining the community so that the conditions of Padang City can immediately turn into a green (safe) zone from Covid-19.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at MAS Yati to enhance education quality through training on Augmented Reality (AR) technology, development of interactive learning media, and implementation of innovative teaching methods. The training equipped educators and students with technical skills to utilize AR for creating engaging, contextual, and applicative learning experiences. The results showed an improvement in understanding and skills among both educators and students, expected to positively impact the learning process at MAS Yati. This activity was supported by Universitas Adzkia and MAS Yati through facilities and various other forms of assistance. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di MAS Yati untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pelatihan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR), pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif, dan penerapan metode pembelajaran inovatif. Pelatihan ini membekali pendidik dan peserta didik dengan keterampilan teknis dalam memanfaatkan AR untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang menarik, kontekstual, dan aplikatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan, baik dari pendidik maupun peserta didik, yang diharapkan memberikan dampak positif bagi proses pembelajaran di MAS Yati. Kegiatan ini didukung oleh Universitas Adzkia dan MAS Yati melalui penyediaan fasilitas dan bantuan lainnya.

Abstract

The lack of learning resources that facilitate students in the Secondary School Mathematics Capita Selecta course served as the background for this study. This research aimed to investigate the challenges faced by prospective mathematics teachers in the Secondary School Mathematics Capita Selecta course at Universitas Adzkia. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, this study involved 18 students and course instructors as participants. Data were collected through surveys and structured interviews, then analyzed to identify key themes related to learning difficulties. The results showed that students experienced difficulties in understanding abstract mathematical concepts, connecting theory with practical applications, and utilizing available learning resources. This condition indicates the need to develop systematic, varied, and interactive learning materials to improve student comprehension and motivation. This study also revealed that the integration of technology in learning can help students understand complex topics and create a more engaging learning environment. Therefore, the development of well-organized and technology-integrated learning resources is crucial to improve the effectiveness of the course and help students overcome learning obstacles. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the development of innovative and technology-integrated learning resources plays an important role in improving the quality of learning in the Secondary School Mathematics Capita Selecta course. Further research is recommended to explore more advanced technological interventions and collaborative learning techniques to enhance instructional delivery and student learning outcomes.
