Abstract

This research investigates the prospects of religious films in Indonesian cinemas and OTT streaming platforms in the post-pandemic era. It addresses the decline in viewership of religious films, particularly in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi regions. The study aims to identify the loyal consumers of religious films and propose strategies to reinvigorate their appeal and attract a wider audience. The theoretical framework for analysis is derived from Baudrillard's theory of the consumption society. Utilising qualitative methods, supplemented by survey data from film consumers in the Greater Jakarta area, this study examines the distinct market segmentation of religious films, albeit with relatively lower enthusiast numbers compared to other film genres in OTT and electronic cinema. To regain competitiveness, religious films could be creatively blended with other genres, such as religious comedy, to offer a more dynamic and inclusive experience, steering away from a rigid focus on da'wah content.

Abstract

Nation image in the international league possess an urgent task, especially when a country is establishing a relationship and running a strategical errand across the world. United States is one of such country that has their diplomats towards numerous countries and it is important for them to build and maintain their image. This is done in order to maintain the authority order in other countries, such as Indonesia. Despite valuing human rights and freedom, United States of America’s reality is far from the claim. Several cases such as War on Terrorism has received many critics since the 9/11 tragedy. This phenomenon is not only considered a discrimination towards Muslim community across the globe, but also has taken numerous lives in the process. As the result, Indonesia’s perception towards the United States is gradually deteriorating over time, which leads to the US’ policy to build their first cultural center, fueled by state of the art technologies, named @america. This facility has proven to be a positive image for United States towards Indonesians, especially Muslims.

Abstract

Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga sedang marak terjadi di Kota Surabaya. Hal ini dikarenakan masih minimnya edukasi mengenai Hubungan Keluarga yang Berkualitas. Dalam hal ini, Pemerintah Kota Surabaya mengadakan program Puspaga (Pusat Pembelajaran Keluarga) sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi kasus kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Program PUSPAGA di Kota Surabaya dijalankan oleh mahasiswa yang berperan sebagai fasilitator di tingkat Balai RW. Dalam penerapannya, program PUSPAGA sudah berjalan dengan baik karena didukung oleh sumber daya yang kompeten serta tujuan program yang sudah cukup jelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan Program PUSPAGA dalam upaya mengurangi kasus Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga di Kelurahan Medokan Ayu Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori Implementasi yang dikemukakan oleh George C. Edward III yang mencakup empat variabel yaitu komunikasi, sumber daya, disposisi, serta struktur birokrasi.

Abstract

A decent house is a dream for all people to have a healthy and safe life. Bojonegoro Regency has many uninhabitable houses, especially those owned by the poor. This has become the focus of the Bojonegoro Regency Government to overcome the problem of uninhabitable houses by forming the Aladin Program. The purpose of this research is to find out the Implementation of the Aladin Program to Repair Uninhabitable Houses in Jatiblimbing Village, Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The focus of the research uses David C. Korten's program implementation theory with three elements, namely the program, implementing organization and target group. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Aladin Program in Jatiblimbing Village has been implemented quite well although there are still some obstacles in the program elements and target group elements.

Abstract

To realize the intelligence of the Indonesian nation as stated in the 1945 Constitution, the role of libraries is needed, which has been regulated in Law No. 43 of 2007 which discusses libraries. The library serves as a means of education, preservation, recreation, research, and information to improve the quality of intelligence and empowerment of the nation. So is the East Java Provincial Library and Archives Office, of course, there are things to be achieved in its goal of educating the nation with a library collection sourced from the receipt of library materials. This acceptance comes from the purchase of books every year. These are managed by the Deposit, Development, and Preservation of Library Materials in the Development sub-field. These are also adjusted to the National Library Standards. This will be related to Warwick's theory (1979) regarding policy implementation with four elements, namely organizational capability, information, support, and potential sharing. What must be adjusted for the implementation of a policy. The research used a descriptive qualitative method using a descriptive approach with observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are that there are problems related to human resources and existing facilities, although in the process of receiving, namely purchasing books, it can be said that it runs smoothly, but in the management process there are various obstacles starting from the lack of human resources and also available facilities. Therefore, it can be said that the implementation of this policy has not been maximally implemented.   Keywords: Implementation; Policy; Library

Abstract

Optimizing the library drive-thru service is to improve the quality of a service owned by the East Java Provincial Library and Archives Office. This drive-thru service is in the form of a counter to serve the needs of library users without having to get out of the vehicle. Optimization of this public service aims to improve or increase the shortcomings of this drive-thru service so that it facilitates the services provided to users. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the services provided by the public services provided by the East Java Provincial Library and Archives Office are optimal or not. The focus of this research is Public Service Quality according to Zeithaml, Parasuraman, and Berry (in Hardiansyah 2011: 11) includes 5 variables consist of Physical Evidence, Reliability, Assurance, Responsiveness, and Attention. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. For data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, exposure, and conclusion drawing. The research informants were library librarians. The results showed that the optimization of drive-thru services has advantages and disadvantages. The physical evidence criteria, it shows that it is still not optimal because there are still some facilities that are not suitable for functioning. The reliability criterion shows that it is good because the officer in charge of the drive-thru service has been given a briefing regarding the technicalities. For the guarantee criteria, it is good because it guarantees fast service and free rates for drive-thru services. For the responsiveness criteria, it is good because the officers are quite responsive in serving the visitors, then the last criterion of attention is still not good because there is still a lack of awareness of officers to smile when serving the visitors. The suggestion that can be given is to encourage more socialization so that this drive-thru can be known by more people.   Keywords: Optimizing; Drive Thru; Library;  Librarian

Abstract

One of the main problems of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bojonegoro Regency is limited capital and high loan interest rates. So, there is a need for a program to help MSME players. The Productive Trader Card (KPP) is a flagship program from Bojonegoro Regency designed to support and develop MSMEs. This research aims to find out how the implementation of the Productive Trader Card (KPP) policy at the Bojonegoro Regency Trade, Cooperatives and Micro Business Office. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research type. The theory used is the theory of policy implementation from Van Meter and Van Horn, with six indicators, namely policy objectives and standards, policy resources, inter-organizational relations, implementer characteristics, political environment, socio-economic, and attitudes of implementers. The result of this study is that the implementation of the Productive Trader Card (KPP) policy can be said to be successful because all indicators have been well implemented, but there are still shortcomings, namely the discovery of policy resource indicators, especially human resources and indicators of implementer characteristics in the implementation of the Productive Trader Card (KPP) policy which are still not running optimallySalah satu permasalahan utama pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Bojonegoro yaitu keterbatasan modal dan bunga pinjaman yang tinggi. Maka, perlu adanya program untuk membantu para pelaku UMKM. Kartu Pedagang Produktif (KPP) merupakan program unggulan dari Kabupaten Bojonegoro yang dirancang untuk mendukung dan mengembangkan UMKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi kebijakan Kartu Pedagang Produktif (KPP) di Dinas Perdagangan, Koperasi dan Usaha Mikro Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori implementasi kebijakan dari Van Meter dan Van Horn, dengan enam indikator, yaitu tujuan dan standar kebijakan, sumber daya kebijakan, hubungan antar organisasi, karakteristik pelaksana, lingkungan politik, sosial ekonomi, dan sikap para pelaksana. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi kebijakan Kartu Pedagang Produktif (KPP) dapat dikatakan berhasil karena semua indikator sudah terimplementasi dengan baik, namun masih terdapat kekurangan yaitu ditemukannya indikator sumber daya kebijakan khususnya sumber daya manusia dan indikator karakteristik pelaksana dalam implementasi kebijakan Kartu Pedagang Produktif (KPP) yang masih belum berjalan dengan optimal

Abstract

Electronic cinema has transformed the worldwide movie industry by providing spectators with various movie content on digital platform. Filmmakers, distributors, and content creators must understand consumer preferences as electronic cinema develops popularity. This study examines whether Indonesian movie tastes affect electronic cinema preferences. Indonesia, with its rich cultural legacy and growing film industry, is an excellent case study for studying movie preferences and electronic cinema adoption. This article examines how Indonesian moviegoers’ digital movie choices affect their overall movie tastes. This paper examined a comprehensive investigation of audience viewing trends on electronic cinema platforms, polls, and interviews with Indonesian moviegoers reveal their cinematic preferences. Demographics, socio-cultural issues, and technology advances also influence audience preferences, which the study seeks to understand. This research goes beyond audience behaviour. Utilising survey within 148 respondents among Greater Jakarta Metropolitan area and analysing using SMART PLS Software. The findings may help filmmakers and content creators appeal to Indonesian viewers. Distributors and digital platforms can also tailor their offers to Indonesian tastes to boost electronic cinema growth. This study illuminates Indonesian movie tastes and electronic cinema choices, contributing to film studies and audience behaviour research. It bridges conventional movie-watching habits with the digital age, providing significant information into Indonesia’s and other countries’ film consumption.Keywords: Audience preferences, electronic cinema, movie choices  ABSTRAKSinema elektronik telah mengubah industri film di seluruh dunia dengan menyediakan berbagai film kepada penonton konten di platform digital. Pembuat film, distributor, dan pembuat konten harus memahami preferensi konsumen seiring berkembangnya popularitas sinema elektronik. Penelitian ini menguji apakah selera film Indonesia memengaruhi preferensi bioskop elektronik. Indonesia, dengan warisan budaya yang kaya dan industri film yang berkembang, merupakan studi kasus yang bagus untuk mempelajari preferensi film dan adopsi sinema elektronik. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana penonton bioskop Indonesia pilihan film digital memengaruhi selera film mereka secara keseluruhan. Makalah ini mengkaji penyelidikan komprehensif terhadap tren tontonan penonton di platform sinema elektronik, polling, dan wawancara dengan penonton bioskop Indonesia mengungkapkan preferensi sinematik mereka. Demografi, permasalahan sosial budaya, dan kemajuan teknologi juga turut memengaruhi preferensi audiens, yang ingin dipahami studi ini. Penelitian ini melampaui perilaku penonton. Memanfaatkan survei terhadap 148 responden di wilayah Metropolitan Jabodetabek dan menganalisis menggunakan SMART Perangkat Lunak PLS. Temuan ini dapat membantu pembuat film dan pembuat konten untuk menarik perhatian pemirsa di Indonesia. Distributor dan platform digital dapat menyesuaikan penawaran mereka dengan selera orang Indonesia untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan sinema elektronik. Studi ini menerangi selera film Indonesia dan pilihan sinema elektronik, berkontribusi pada studi dan penelitian perilaku penonton film. Abstract

Stigma and discrimination continue to persist in the leprosy village of Sumberglagah, despite government efforts to provide social assistance and community empowerment programs. This article aims to uncover the dynamics of communication and the perceptions of village elites and community members regarding the effectiveness of various government policies targeting Sumberglagah. Utilizing elite theory and a three-dimensional framework—cognitive, affective, and conative—the study employs a mixed-methods approach. Qualitative data were gathered through interviews with five elite village informants, while quantitative data were collected from a survey of 100 respondents in Tanjungkenongo village. Findings indicate that, from the elite perspective, government programs are perceived as relatively ineffective in addressing the needs of the leprosy community, primarily due to a culture of reliance on external assistance from both government and non-government sources. In contrast, quantitative analysis reveals that the community generally expresses satisfaction with government programs, with an average satisfaction score exceeding 4. However, there is notable skepticism regarding the long-term impact of these programs, as reflected in the low community engagement with government-initiated empowerment programs. This study highlights the divergence in perceptions between elites and the community concerning government interventions, emphasizing the need for more effective and culturally attuned strategies to address the unique challenges faced by leprosy-affected communities.Keywords: Policy; Elite; Village Community; LeprosyAbstrakStigma dan diskriminasi masih terjadi di desa leprosy Sumberglagah, meskipun pemerintah telah berupaya memberikan program bantuan sosial dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dinamika komunikasi dan persepsi elit desa serta masyarakat terkait efektivitas berbagai kebijakan pemerintah di Sumberglagah. Dengan menggunakan teori elit dan kerangka tiga dimensi—kognitif, afektif, dan konatif—penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan metode campuran. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara dengan lima informan elit desa, sementara data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui survei terhadap 100 responden di desa Tanjungkenongo. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa dari perspektif elit, program pemerintah cenderung dianggap kurang efektif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas leprosy, disebabkan oleh budaya ketergantungan pada bantuan dari pihak pemerintah dan non-pemerintah. Sebaliknya, analisis kuantitatif mengungkapkan bahwa masyarakat umumnya merasa puas dengan program pemerintah, dengan rata-rata skor kepuasan melebihi 4. Namun, terdapat skeptisisme mengenai dampak jangka panjang dari program tersebut, tercermin dari rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam program pemberdayaan yang diinisiasi pemerintah. Penelitian ini menyoroti perbedaan persepsi antara elit dan masyarakat tentang intervensi pemerintah, menekankan perlunya strategi yang lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan konteks budaya untuk menghadapi tantangan unik yang dihadapi komunitas yang terkena dampak lepra.Kata Kunci: Kebijakan; Elit; Masyarakat Desa; Kusta

Abstract

Dalam rangka mempercepat terwujudnya hak-hak anak, Untuk menjadikan Surabaya kota ramah anak dan membangun keluarga berkualitas, seluruh masyarakat yang tinggal di Surabaya harus mempunyai pandangan yang sama mengenai pentingnya hak dan perlindungan perempuan dan anak. Tercapainya kesatuan perspektif jenis kelamin dan anak mengenai pentingnya hak-hak perempuan dan anak, terutama dengan menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan gaya hidup lapisan masyarakat paling bawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan Peran Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak, Pengendalian Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana (DP3APPKB) dalam peningkatan kualitas kualitas keluarga di Kelurahan Putat Jaya. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya adalah dinas sudah memenuhi perannya. Dan dijabarkan berdasarkan peranan pemerintah sebagai fasilitator dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas keluarga khusunya di Kelurahan Putat Jaya. Dalam hal ini pihak dinas telah memberikan dan memfasilitasi keberlangsungannya beberapa kegiatan pembinaan yang dapat di terima oleh Masyarakat.Kata kunci: Peran, Peningkatan, Kualitas
