Abstract

AbstrakLatarbelakang kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya fenomena bunuh diri di kalangan generasi muda menjadi isu global dan juga menjadi isu yang terus meningkat di Indonesia. Fenomena ini disebabkan oleh masalah kesehatan mental remaja yang disebabkan tekanan akademis, masalah keluarga, kesulitan hubungan sosial, serta pengaruh negatif media sosial. Masalah selanjutnya juga terkait dengan kurangnya dukungan psikososial dan ketidakmampuan mengelola stres bagi remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi terkait kesehatan mental remaja untuk mencegah terjadinya bunuh diri. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi dan praktik. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 20 orang dengan latar belakang profil dan daerah asal yang beragam. Kegiatan mencakup persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi yang mencakup antara lain penyampaian materi edukasi, diskusi dan tanya jawab, pendampingan dalam penyusunan rencana strategis pencegahan bunuh diri dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan mendeskripsikan bahwa seluruh peserta dapat mengikuti kegiatan dengan baik dan dapat memahami substansi kegiatan dengan baik. Hasil berikutnya adalah peserta dapat menyusun rencana strategis pencegahan bunuh diri yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam konteks individu maupun masyarakat. Rencana strategis pencegahan tersebut antara lain program pelatihan ketahanan mental di sekolah, sistem pendukung peer counselor (konselor sebaya), kampanye kesadaran kesehatan mental, workshop orang tua dan guru, layanan konseling terintegrasi, program edukasi dan latihan mindfulness, pusat informasi dan dukungan kesehatan mental, program ekstrakurikuler yang menunjang kesehatan mental. Secara keseluruhan, tujuan kegiatan edukasi ini dapat dicapai dengan maksimal. Terakhir, saran yang dapat diberikan adalah agar program pendampingan yang sejalan dapat diberikan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: edukasi; ketahanan mental; generasi muda; bunuh diri. Abstract The background of this community service activity is the increasing phenomenon of suicide among young people, which has become a global issue and is also rising in Indonesia. This phenomenon is caused by mental health problems among teenagers due to academic pressure, family issues, social relationship difficulties, and the negative influence of social media. Additionally, there is a lack of psychosocial support and an inability to manage stress among teenagers. This community service activity aims to provide education related to teenage mental health to prevent suicide. The methods used in this activity include delivering educational materials, discussions and Q&A sessions, assistance in formulating strategic suicide prevention plans, and activity evaluation. The results of the activity indicate that all participants could follow the activity well and understand its substance. Furthermore, the participants were able to develop strategic suicide prevention plans that can be implemented on both individual and community levels. These strategic prevention plans include mental resilience training programs in schools, peer counselor support systems, mental health awareness campaigns, workshops for parents and teachers, integrated counseling services, education and mindfulness training programs, mental health information and support centers, and extracurricular programs that support mental health. Overall, the educational objectives of this activity were successfully achieved. Finally, it is recommended that similar supportive programs be provided regularly and continuously. Keywords: education; mental resilience; young generation; suicide.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop, assess the feasibility, examine user responses, and determine the effectiveness of an E-Comic learning medium designed using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach and based on South Bengkulu folktales to enhance the naturalist intelligence of Phase B students in Grade IV at SDN 4 Bengkulu Selatan. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected through interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, tests, expert validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. The findings indicate that the developed E-Comic is feasible for use as a learning medium in the Grade IV Indonesian Language subject. Validation results from material, design, and language experts met valid criteria. User responses were highly positive, as shown by the teacher questionnaire results categorized as very good, and student responses also falling into the very good category. The E-Comic was proven effective in improving students’ naturalist intelligence, as indicated by the implementation class achieving an N-Gain score of 0.635. This demonstrates a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores in the class that used the E-Comic at SD Negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to enhance learning and critical thinking abilities of Cosmetology and Beauty students in e-commerce courses through the implementation of interactive e-commerce e modules. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with control groups for the pretest and posttest. Data collection was carried out using instruments in the form of open questionnaires and tests. The study's data analysis method is quantitative descriptive analysis, differentiation power analysis using T Test and qualitative descriptive analysis. The independent sample t test findings describe a Sig (2 Tailed) greater in the experimental class compared to the control class, it can be inferred that there is a substantial difference between the two groups. The overall findings support the usage of the e-module in e-commerce courses because it has been shown to enhance critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low of student learning engagement and creativity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential of project-based learning and YouTube in enhancing learning engagement and creativity. The method used in this research is a semi-systematic literature review. The results of the study describe that project-based learning and the YouTube platform have the potential to increase learning engagement and creativity. Some potential aspects of project-based learning integrated with YouTube include relevant and interesting learning content, real project learning experiences, interactive and responsive platforms, flexibility and adaptability, online collaboration features, experimental activity opportunities, and constructive feedback. The findings of this research can be considered by educators when designing learning experiences aimed at improving student learning engagement and creativity. Further research recommendations include the need for experimental implementation of project-based learning integrated with YouTube and measuring the impact of treatment in increasing learning engagement and creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning based instructional design through the integration of an e-learning platform in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) course at Universitas Negeri Padang, employing a Project-Based Learning approach and social constructivism. The study adopts the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of expert validation, involving both content and media experts, indicate that the developed instructional materials are categorized as highly feasible. The implementation was conducted using a blended learning scheme and demonstrated significant improvements across multiple learning outcomes. Students’ conceptual understanding increased, engagement improved, and learning satisfaction rose. In addition, students’ learning motivation showed a consistent overall improvement. These findings suggest that the developed Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning-based instructional design is not only technically effective but also enhances collaborative interaction, fosters critical thinking skills, and prepares students to meet industry demands. This study contributes to the advancement of contextual digital learning models in engineering education and recommends the integration of learning analytics to support continuous evaluation and improvement.

Abstract

The digitalization of healthcare services offers substantial opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of care; however, it also introduces significant challenges related to the security, privacy, and integrity of medical data. The literature indicates that conventional Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems remain vulnerable to data breaches, information manipulation, and system failures due to their centralized architecture. This review examines the development of blockchain technology as a potential solution for modern healthcare data management. The study employs a systematic literature review using the Publish or Perish approach, with Google Scholar as the data source to identify relevant scientific articles, which were subsequently screened based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria and analyzed qualitatively. Owing to its characteristics of decentralization, immutability, strong cryptography, and the use of smart contracts for access control, blockchain offers significant improvements in medical data security, transparency, and interoperability. Its applications have been reported in EHR systems, telemedicine, pharmaceutical supply chains, medical imaging, and clinical trial data management. Nevertheless, several limitations continue to hinder widespread adoption, including scalability issues, computational overhead, integration complexity with legacy systems, the transparency–privacy trade-off, and regulatory challenges such as compliance with data protection laws and international standards. Future research trends point toward the integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and federated learning, as well as the development of lightweight blockchain solutions for resource-constrained environments. Overall, blockchain demonstrates considerable potential to strengthen the security and reliability of healthcare information systems; however, its implementation requires a gradual, standardized, and regulation-compliant approach.

Abstract

Beginner makeup artists (MUAs) from beauty and cosmetology programs are expected to implement effective promotional strategies through social media, although its utilization is often suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the promotional strategies of beginner MUAs on social media, focusing on the promotion mix (advertising), the effectiveness of Instagram, and the use of WhatsApp. A quantitative survey method was applied to 75 respondents who had previously used MUA services, with data collected through a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. The results indicate that advertising-based promotional strategies are considered moderately effective, with Instagram emerging as the most dominant and effective platform due to its feed, story, reels, and caption features that support visual promotion. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is predominantly used for personal communication and remains underutilized for visual promotion. The study concludes that beginner MUAs’ promotional strategies on social media have been reasonably successful, particularly through Instagram, and recommends enhancing creativity and consistency in social media use, alongside optimizing WhatsApp to support comprehensive service promotion.

Abstract

The increasing competition in beauty services in Padang City requires makeup artists (MUAs) to develop effective promotional strategies, one of which is personal branding on Instagram to attract consumer interest. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Instagram personal branding on consumers’ interest in using MUA makeup services in Padang City. The study employed a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The sample consisted of 81 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS version 25 through validity, reliability, classical assumption, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results showed that the Instagram personal branding and consumer interest variables were in the very good category, with all items declared valid and reliable (α = 0.903 and α = 0.952) and meeting the classical assumption test requirements (sig. > 0.05). The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.00 (< 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.847, indicating that 84.7% of the variation in consumer interest was explained by Instagram personal branding. These findings confirm that Instagram personal branding has a positive and significant effect on consumer interest; therefore, the stronger and more consistent the personal branding developed, the higher consumers’ interest in using MUA services in Padang City.
