Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) are one of the driving forces of the economy in a local area and a booster for the community's welfare. One of the obstacles often faced by the bread entrepreneurs in Singosari District, Malang Regency, is the lack of quality product packaging that still uses manual tools and is not optimal in creating marketing content. This community service aims to provide automatic plastic seal press machines and training on marketing content creation for micro-business actors in the bread entrepreneurs so that it is expected to increase partners' competitiveness. The stages of community service were observation and coordination, providing machines, handing over machines, holding training, and evaluation. The results of the community service activities showed that the training participants were enthusiastic and actively participated during the training. The quality of product packaging after using a plastic seal press machine has also improved, evidenced by a tighter and well-protected packaging seal. The copywriting training has also broadened the participants' knowledge about strategies for creating product marketing content by utilizing applications available on Android.

Abstract

Community service activities have a central role in supporting sustainable economic growth, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) sector. UMKM processing wood-based crafts, as an integral part of local cultural diversity, face significant energy challenges in sustainable development. In order to overcome this obstacle, this community service activity focuses on implementing a Hybrid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) that is integrated with a lathe for UMKM processing wood-based crafts. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide sustainable solutions for UMKM in terms of reliable energy, while supporting the development of environmentally friendly technologies. The methodology applied includes an initial survey of energy needs, design and installation of the Hybrid PLTS system, lathe operator training, and continuous performance monitoring. This activity involves collaboration with UMKM owners and the local village government to ensure the implementation of solutions that are relevant to real needs and conditions. The results of this activity show that the implementation of Hybrid PLTS integrated with lathes has a significant positive impact on production efficiency and product quality for UMKM. These activities make a real contribution to sustainable economic development at the local level. The results can be used as a model for similar developments in other UMKM sectors. Abstract

Environmental concerns regarding emissions from small motorcycles necessitate the optimization of ignition systems to improve combustion efficiency and reduce harmful exhaust gases. This study analyzes the combined effect of groundstrap configuration—specifically coil turns and material type (copper vs. aluminum)—on exhaust emissions (CO, HC, CO₂, and O₂) in a 110cc motorcycle. The experimental approach involved testing a 110cc four-stroke motorcycle with copper and aluminum groundstraps. The number of coil turns was varied (100, 150, and 200 turns), and engine speeds (1400, 2000, 4000, and 6000 rpm) were tested. Emissions were measured using a calibrated gas analyzer. Results revealed that copper groundstraps with 200 turns significantly reduced CO and HC emissions, with the most notable CO reduction. Copper groundstraps were superior in stabilizing ignition voltage, improving combustion quality compared to aluminum. In contrast, while aluminum groundstraps showed lower emissions, they were still effective at higher engine speeds. This study demonstrates that copper groundstraps with optimal coil turns effectively reduce harmful emissions and improve combustion in small motorcycles, offering a pathway to more environmentally friendly ignition systems.

Abstract

The management of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) funds in many mosques is still carried out conventionally, leading to inefficiencies in collection, reporting, and distribution, as well as limited transparency and accountability. Masjid Raya An-Nur at Politeknik Negeri Malang, as a religious activity center, plays a strategic role in managing community funds. However, its manual system has hindered timely financial recording and reporting. The main challenges include limited access for donors to contribute online, slow verification processes, and a lack of transparency that may reduce public trust. To address these issues, this community service program developed and implemented an Android-based mobile application for ZIS management. The methodology involved a needs analysis through interviews and observations, system design utilizing REST API architecture with a Laravel back-end and MySQL database, and user training for both administrators and donors. The results indicate that the application successfully facilitates online donations, provides real-time reporting, and enhances donor participation through transparency features and digital reminders. Furthermore, the payment gateway integration enables more flexible and secure payment methods. Overall, the system has improved the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of ZIS management at Masjid Raya An-Nur, strengthened donor trust, and contributed to the digital transformation of religious social fund governance.
