Abstract

The Village Credit Institution (LPD) of Sesetan Traditional village plays a crucial role in empowering the economy of the community in Sesetan Village. As a microfinance institution focused on providing low-interest loans, LPD Sesetan gives financial access to the community, which was previously  limited by formal financial institutions. In addition, LPD also  plays a role in managing funds to support various economic empowerment programs, such as financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and other productive activities. Through  this approach, LPD of Sesetan Traditional Village contributes  to improving community welfare, creating job opportunities, and strengthening the local economy. This research aims to explore the role of LPD in fostering economic growth and its  impact on the community of Sesetan Village. The method used  in this research is a qualitative approach with interviews and  direct observation to obtain more accurate data

Abstract

Internship programs constitute experiential learning that enables students to connect theoretical knowledge with real workplace practice. This study examines the role of the internship program at LPD Desa Pakraman Sesetan in enhancing student competencies. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case-study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation and were analyzed thematically. The findings show that the internship improved students’ technical competencies in financial administration, service, and data management, while also strengthening soft skills such as communication, teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving. The program further deepened students’ understanding of a customary village-based financial institution. However, its effectiveness was still influenced by students’ initial readiness and the quality of supervision. Therefore, more systematic pre-internship briefing and mentoring are needed to optimize the program’s impact.

Abstract

Educational management in economics at the junior high school level plays a strategic role in shaping both learning quality and students’ character development. However, economics learning practices are still largely oriented toward cognitive achievement and have not systematically integrated moral values. This study aims to examine economics education management oriented toward Jnana Dharma in balancing students’ cognitive and moral competencies. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Denpasar, involving economics/IPS teachers, eighth grade students, and learning documents as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies and supported by questionnaires. The results indicate that the application of Jnana Dharma oriented economics education management effectively integrates economic rationality with moral values in the learning process. Questionnaire findings show that economic honesty achieved the highest average score, followed by understanding of economic concepts and social responsibility. These results suggest that moral values are more effectively internalized when systematically managed through educational planning, implementation and evaluation. This study concludes that Jnana Dharma oriented economics education management is a relevant strategic framework for developing junior high school students who are not only cognitively competent but also morally responsible in economic decision making

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of Subak system–integrated Augmented Reality (AR) media as a form of Balinese local wisdom in elementary science learning. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model and involved 44 third-grade students of SD Negeri 18 Denpasar as trial participants. The AR media was designed to visualize the water cycle through three-dimensional representations linked to Subak elements, including dams, irrigation channels, and rice fields. The effectiveness of the developed AR media was evaluated using a one-group pretest–posttest design. Students completed a cognitive achievement test on water cycle concepts before and after the implementation of the AR media. Learning improvement was analyzed using normalized gain (N-gain) scores and a paired-sample t-test to determine the statistical significance of the observed gains. The results indicate that the developed AR media demonstrates a very high level of validity and is effective in improving students’ science learning outcomes. Beyond cognitive gains, the media enhances contextual learning, fosters environmental awareness, and strengthens students’ appreciation of local wisdom. These findings confirm that integrating AR technology with the Subak system provides a meaningful and innovative approach to elementary science learning, aligning with the demands of digital-era education.
