Abstract

R-32 presents a technically viable and environmentally sustainable option for one-shot vapor compression gas storage in residential AC, provided measures logger record and compressor innovations are prioritized. The study highlights challenges, including R-32’s elevated discharge temperatures (30°C), which necessitate advanced compressor technologies such as liquid injection to maintain reliability. Experimental data from cold storage applications demonstrate achievable evaporator temperatures of 28°C - 31°C under hybrid energy conditions, suggesting adaptability to residential AC demands.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of teenagers' lives, including its influence on the use of the Indonesian language. This study aims to analyze the impact of social media usage on language development among ninth-grade students at SMPN 35 Medan. The research employs a quantitative survey approach, involving 23 students as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that most students use social media daily, affecting their language habits. While some students strive to maintain proper Indonesian usage, there is an increasing tendency to use slang and abbreviations in daily communication. Additionally, some students struggle to use standard Indonesian due to the influence of social media. This study concludes that social media significantly impacts students' language habits, both positively and negatively. Therefore, educational strategies are needed to raise awareness among students about the importance of using proper Indonesian in various contexts.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP yang dilakukan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Solear Kabupaten Tangerang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling pada sebuah populasi dengan 36 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa pada kelas kontrol. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dan siswa kelas VII G sebagai kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional.  Uji normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov terhadap data pretest pada kelas kesperimen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,056 > 0,05 dan data posttest sebesar 0,004 < 0,05 sehinga yang berdistribusi normal hanyalah data pretest kelas eksperimen saja. Uji nonparametrik menggunakan Mann-Whitney pada data pretest kelas kontrol karena tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,351 ( diterima) yang berarti tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan awal kedua kelas. Untuk menguji hipotesis utama, dilakukan uji Mann-Whitney pada data posttest yang diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 ( ditolak) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan maslaah matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) berpengaruh dalam meingkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a new design of Jig Valve Spring Compressor that uses double flange, replacing the previous design that only uses one flange. This new design, which is still under development, has the potential to increase the speed and efficiency of the cylinder head overhaul process which has previously shown an increase in time efficiency of up to 82%. The development of this design is based on ergonomic principles using the OWAS  method to minimize the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and improve the working comfort of technicians during the engine valve removal and installation process.

Abstract

This research aimed to increase the reproduction of dairy cows with artificial insemination (AI) in Filial Friesian Holstein cows using sexed semen. This research was conducted in Pandesari Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency, East Java. The 114 Filial Friesian Holstein cows were used in this research and divided into three Treatments: T1: 38 cows were inseminated using unsexed semen, T2: 38 cows were inseminated using albumin sedimentation sexed semen, and T3: 38 cows were inseminated using Percoll density gradient centrifugation (PDGC) sexed semen. The material was selected by purposive sampling with a minimum body condition score (BCS) specification of 2.5 (scale 1-5); the material had normal reproductive organs and showed signs of heat/estrus. The parameters of this study are the percentage of non-return rate (NRR) 1, NRR 2, and conception rate (CR). The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The differences in NRR and CR between the unsexed sperm, sexed sperm with albumin sedimentation, and sexed sperm with PDGC were analyzed with the chi-square test and were considered significant at p < 0.05. The chi-square test was carried out to compare the observed values with the expected values. The results showed that the success of artificial insemination was greater by using albumin-sedimented sexed semen compared to unsexed semen or PDGC-sexed semen, with NRR values of 1 (95%), NRR values of 2 (87%) and CR values of 63%. The conception rate of artificial insemination using albumin-sedimented sexed semen was 63% greater than that of artificial insemination using unsexed semen and PDGC-sexed semen, which obtained the same value of 47%.

Abstract

Improving farmers’ skills is one of the efforts to increase livestock productivity, which in turn will contribute to fulfilling the community’s need for animal protein and improving the economic conditions of the farmers. Kelompok Tani Ternak Berkah Jaya is a community partner in this flagship community service program located in Tegalsari Village, whose main livelihood is layer poultry farming. Based on a preliminary survey, Kelompok Tani Ternak Berkah Jaya is generally classified as a small-scale or traditional farm that still employs conventional poultry farming methods. Therefore, there is a need for outreach and training on modern layer chicken farming management. The outreach and training activities are expected to improve the farmers’ competencies in managing their poultry businesses. The implementation method of this flagship community service program consisted of three stages: (1) identifying the partner’s needs, (2) providing education on layer farming management and feed formulation training, and (3) conducting evaluations. The program was successfully carried out in Tegalsari Village. The evaluation results showed high enthusiasm from participants, particularly during the discussion sessions. Furthermore, survey results indicated an increase in participants’ knowledge of layer farming management, from 11.76% to 88.23%. The average hen-day production (HDP) over four weeks was 90.28%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this flagship community service program successfully improved the farmers’ knowledge of layer chicken farming management, including aspects of maintenance, health, and feeding management
