Abstract

This study examines the impact of using plastic straws as concrete manipulatives on first-grade students' addition skills in mathematics at MI An-Nidhom, a rural Islamic elementary school in Indonesia. Addressing the challenge of teaching abstract mathematical concepts to young learners, the research explores an innovative, low-cost, and sustainable pedagogical approach. Employing a mixed-methods design with a one-group pretest-posttest model (N=34), the study measured learning outcomes through standardized tests, classroom observations, and teacher interviews. Results demonstrated significant improvement in mathematical proficiency (t(33)=11.109, p<0.001, d=1.89), with 82% of students successfully transitioning from concrete to abstract understanding. The intervention also yielded environmental benefits, reducing plastic waste by 72% while enhancing students' ecological awareness. These findings contribute to both educational practice and sustainable development goals by demonstrating how locally available materials can effectively support foundational numeracy skills in resource-limited settings.

Abstract

This paper is the results of study at Islamic Junior High School with Tahfidzul Qur’an as its program which the goal of this study is for answering three main questions, such as: How the implementation of tikrar method in improving students’ memorizing ability in the Tahfidzul Qur’an program, what are the support and obstacle factors in the tikrar method implementation in order to improve the students’ memorizing ability of Tahfizul Qur’an program, and what solutions are needed to overcome the obstacles in the tikrar method implementation for improving students’ memorizing ability of Tahfidzul Qur’an program. This study is a qualitative type that took descriptive data in the form of words or direct interview with the headmaster of school, the responsible teacher/tahfidz teacher, and some MTs Darul Amien’ students by supporting from the results of documentations and observations. In the other hand, the researcher used data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal as analysis data techniques. Then, it is ended by checking the validity of the researcher’s data using source triangulation. The results of this study are: 1) The planning step in tikrar method implementation at MTs Darul Amien obligates the students to obey the Tahfidzul Qur’an program, creates students with good Qur’an recitement, prepares target of memorizing, determines method used in Tahfidzul Qur’an program and prepares learning tools such as lesson plans, attendance, and assessment journals. Meanwhile, the implementation activity: Begun by praying together, reading (Bin-Nadhor) or muroja’ah together, submitting memorization to the tahfidz teacher in turns, the students were listening into (sima’-menyima’) memorization between friends. Tikrar method it self is implemented by: Reading (Bin’Nadhor) repeatedly, correcting the Qur’an recitement, memorizing the verse by verse until fluently, submitting memorization to tahfidz teacher, repeating memorization (morojo’ah) repeatedly, and combining new memorization and old memorization. Next, for the evaluations are included from two forms of evaluations, they are evalution for letter/juz increasing and evaluation for graduating. 2) Supporting factors: The condusive atmosphere, have an accurate reciting, friends of the same age, motivation, and unchangeable mushaf. In the other hand, there are two types of inhibiting factor from the internal factors are: desire to increase memorization without paying attention to previous memorization, feeling lazy and bored because of the busy activities, difficult to memorize which can be caused by a low IQ level. The external factors are: similar verses and complex surahs of Al-Qur’an, and busyness because of islamic boarding activities. 3) Solutions for students: increasing the reciting enthusiasm by continuing to recite and memorize, managing the time between memorizing Al-Qur’an and nadhoman, and requesting some reliefs to friend or senior for listening into the memorization. Solutions which can be done by tahfidz teacher: such as by giving a special attention for students who have lower IQ by dividing them into many groups according to their ability and carry out special supervision in order to make their memory in reciting controllable.

Abstract

Effective leadership has elements of emotional intelligence, namely self-awareness, self-management and social awareness. With this awareness, a leader's emotions are useful in directing the power of emotions to improve self-satisfaction, morale and motivation to get better results. Therefore, the background of this research is that emotional intelligence (EQ) influences students' leadership spirit. The purpose of this research is to determine emotional intelligence (EQ), to determine the leadership spirit of students and to determine the correlation between emotional intelligence (EQ) and the leadership spirit of students. This type of research is quantitative research using observation, questionnaire and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, to analyze the data using parametric inferential statistical analysis and percentage formulas. The results of this research show that students' emotional intelligence (EQ) is in the "good" category with a percentage of 89.5%, students' leadership skills are also "good" with a percentage of 87.6%, and there is a correlation between emotional intelligence (EQ) and soul. student leadership with calculated r value > r table.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dan Budi Pekerti dalam membentuk karakter siswa, khususnya karakter religius, di SMP Al-Qodiriyah Srono Banyuwangi pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya peran guru sebagai agen pembentuk moral dan spiritual siswa melalui keteladanan, pembimbingan, dan pembiasaan nilai-nilai Islami dalam keseharian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru PAI, kepala sekolah, dan siswa SMP Al- Qodiriyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI memainkan peran penting sebagai pendidik, teladan, motivator, dan pembimbing dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa melalui kegiatan seperti shalat berjamaah, tadarus, doa bersama, serta pembinaan nilai-nilai akhlak dalam interaksi sosial. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa faktor penghambat seperti keterbatasan waktu, perbedaan latar belakang siswa, serta pengaruh lingkungan luar sekolah. Di sisi lain, dukungan lingkungan sekolah yang religius, program keagamaan yang terstruktur, dan keteladanan guru menjadi faktor pendukung yang signifikan.Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Islam perlu diintegrasikan secara konsisten dalam proses pembelajaran dan kehidupan sekolah untuk membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan YouTube sebagai platform pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di Madrasah. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas video pembelajaran interaktif dalam memperdalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, serta untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang dalam integrasi teknologi ini dalam kurikulum pendidikan Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan YouTube sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar siswa. Video pembelajaran yang disajikan secara interaktif membantu siswa lebih memahami konsep-konsep pelajaran dengan lebih baik, sejalan dengan teori konstruktivisme. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan keterampilan teknologi bagi guru dan integrasi yang lebih sistematis dari platform digital dalam kurikulum pendidikan Islam untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan relevan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam literatur pendidikan digital, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan agama, serta membuka peluang untuk penelitian lanjutan yang lebih komprehensif. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This research focuses on using YouTube as a learning platform to improve student learning outcomes in Madrasah. The main aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive learning videos in deepening students' understanding of the subject matter and identify challenges and opportunities in integrating this technology into the Islamic education curriculum. The research method used is a qualitative case study involving direct observation, in-depth interviews with five teachers and 2 students, and analysis of related documents. The research results show that using YouTube as a learning aid can increase student engagement and learning motivation. Learning videos presented interactively help students understand lesson concepts better, which is in line with constructivism theory. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of developing technological skills for teachers and more systematic integration of digital platforms in the Islamic education curriculum to support more effective and relevant learning. This research made a significant contribution to the literature on digital education, particularly in the context of religious education, and opens up opportunities for more comprehensive further research.

Abstract

This research is behind the role of Islamic religious education teachers in succeeding the memorization activities of the Qur'an students. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The research was conducted at SMP Al-Qur'an Al-Mubarok Genteng. Data collection techniques through observation methods, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research are: (1) The role of Islamic religious education teacher as a mentor is very good and active through the way of mentoring and direction that aims to allow students to read the Qur'an smoothly through how to justify its short length and Tajwidnya, and to invite reading the Qur'an together. (2) The role of Islamic education teachers as motivators through communication and good attention by telling the story of the characters of Al-Qur'an and Ustadz or class-older brother who has been able to memorize the Qur'an, as well as an example of his class brothers who have been able to memorize more letters from them. (3) The role of Islamic education teachers as evaluators, i.e. the first, for the daily activities in the first process in the classical Tahfidz is to read and follow the children. Second, individually, the child advance one by one, the teacher's nature justifies reading and tajwid. Third, is the creature. (4) The inhibitory factor in improving the memorization of the Qur'an students, i.e. the education background of different students is a major factor in the teaching of Islamic education teachers to increase students ' interest in the memorization process of the Qur'an. From different educational backgrounds. Some have been able to read the Qur'an well, some are not fluent, even some do not know at all how to read. Then from the economic circumstances of parents and family environment that do not support. There are parents whose circumstances are not harmonious and there are those whose parents are not so that students do not get good attention.

Abstract

A child's education will not be separated from the role of parents, family is the foundation of child education, school is just a complement. If the child lives in a family environment that understands Islamic religious education then we will get a child who is far from juvenile delinquency, and vice versa. Therefore, the purpose of this writing is to know the influence of Islamic religious education in the family in overcoming juvenile delinquency in MA Kanjeng Sepuh Gresik students, using a type of field research, while the approach used is a quantitative descriptive approach method. In this study the population is all students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kanjeng Sepuh Gresik, while the sample is students of grade XI Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kanjeng Sepuh Gresik. The technique of collecting research data is to use interview methods, questionnaires, and documentation. While the data analysis in this study is using product moment correlation. The results showed that the urgency of Islamic religious education in the family is quite good, this was obtained from the results of a questionnaire on Islamic religious education in the family that was analyzed through percentage and produced a score of 67.66%. Family results in overcoming juvenile delinquency in MA Kanjeng Sepuh Gresik students are relatively good, this is known from the frequency of grades belonging to the category of completion as many as 34 students out of a total of 34 students or by 100%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of learning English subjects students are still low. Low learning outcomes are indicated by the grades of students under the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). The learning outcomes under the KKM certainly resulted in learning indicators also not being achieved. Learning English using audio visual media is one of the learning strategies that use a medium that can be captured by the sense of vision and can also be captured by the listener's senses. This media directs students to receive learning materials not only from one sense, because the more senses used, the more effective and efficient the learning will be so that the material can be understood by students. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of audio visual media on the results of learning English. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasy experiment pattern with one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection instruments used are written tests and verbal tests to determine students' learning outcomes using audio visual media during learning. Before being used in research, this instrument was first tested for validity and reliability. Once declared valid and reliable, new instruments can be used for research. Samples in this study as many as 15 students who took it using saturated sampling techniques. This technique uses the entire population as a sample. The data analysis technique used in this study is t. Before being calculated using the t test, the data of the research results were tested prerequisites i.e. normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the calculation result, the significance data is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 or 0.000<0.05. T test result also shows that the t count result is -15,591and the table t is 1.77093 with the correlation index is 0.100 or t count>t table. Thus, it can be interpreted that the calculation results indicate "there is an influence on the use of audio visual media on the results of learning English" is accepted. So Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to develop animation-based learning media using sparkol videoscribe on fiqh subjects in MTs Al-Kautsar Sumbersari Srono Banyuwangi. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) research with reference to the Borg & Gall research model. The subject of this trial is a material expert 1 person and a media expert learning 1 person, all validation subjects are lecturers of Islamic Religious Education study program IAI Ibrahimy Genteng Banyuwangi. In this study, the researcher describes the comparison between the learning outcomes of class X students who have been involved in two different learning methods, namely Make A Match and Picture and Picture at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Banyuwangi, located in Genteng District. Then to find out which one is superior between student learning outcomes and learning using the Make A Match or Picture and Picture method. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. With a population of class X students totaling 445 students. Meanwhile, the sample in this study were 38 children belonging to class X religion 1. The main data in this study were obtained based on the test instruments given by the researcher to the sample students. In addition, researchers also use other research instruments in the form of interviews and observations as additional data. Student learning outcomes data obtained from tests conducted by researchers are then tested for validity (validity) and reliability (reliability) to determine whether the data obtained by researchers can be analyzed further. After being declared valid and reliable. Homogeneity and normality tests were carried out to determine whether the data had a normal distribution and had the same or homogeneous data variance. Furthermore, to determine the existence of a comparison between student learning outcomes between the application of the Make A Match method with Picture and Picture, a hypothesis test was conducted in the form of a t test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between the methods in the paired sample t test which shows the t value of both methods on learning outcomes which is higher than the t table value. The t test results show that the t value of post-learning student learning outcomes using the Make A Match method is -29,436 while for post-learning student learning outcomes using the Picture and Picture method is -36,381. Then from this study it can also be concluded that the value of student learning outcomes influenced by the Picture and Picture method is higher than student learning outcomes that are influenced by the Make A Match method (-36.381> -29436). Thus it is concluded that in this study the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected.
