Abstract

Online learning caused polemics in education, so teachers began showing action in creative pedagogy through the learning media, such as podcasts. This study aims to describe podcast media that can be used to grow students’ historical imagination in learning History and Social Sciences. Historical imagination is the cognitive ability to add or fill an insufficient space of historical facts. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The subject of this study was an eleventh-grade student of the social studies program at SMA Negeri 1 Tuntang and a teacher—data collection through online interviews via a Google form. The results showed that podcast media is a form of creative learning in history and social studies. Podcasts as a medium to grow students’ historical imagination through the material “Stories from the Past” and “Come on Listen” content. The results showed that 74.6% of students responded positively about implementing podcast media. Despite having a high presentation in positive responses, 22.2% of students still have difficulty understanding the material using podcast media, and the rest feel ordinary, so they give advice. Based on this, it can be concluded that podcast media can be used to grow students’ historical imagination despite several internal and external obstacles. An internal bottleneck in the podcast creation process takes quite a while. In contrast, external barriers are caused by students’ growing demands for podcast-based learning. Keywords: Media Podcast, Historical Imagination, Social Studies, Covid-19 PandemicPembelajaran daring menimbulkan polemik dalam dunia pendidikan, sehingga guru mulai berunjuk aksi dalam pedagogi kreatif melalui media pembelajaran yang digunakan seperti pemanfaatan media podcast.

Abstract

This paper discusses the emergence of student social loafing in group learning. It is known that social loafing is when an individual's effort is not maximized in group work rather than independent work. Project-based learning is recommended in the independent curriculum with teaching and learning activities designed to make teachers and students actively involved. This study aims to find the effect of project-based learning in social studies learning on reducing social loafing of 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 29 Bandung using a quantitative approach correlational method. Using probability sampling techniques, researchers used instruments or distributed questionnaires to a sample of 170 people across class VII. The data processing results from this study show a positive and significant influence between variable X project-based learning and variable Y decreasing students' social loafing with a percentage of 56.4% of the project implemented and the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors. The implication of this study shows that project-based learning can be one of the alternatives to reduce social loafing in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' ecoliteracy in social studies learning. So far, not many teachers have implemented environmental-based learning in social studies learning in the classroom. The development of ecoliteracy is in accordance with the mandate of the UU NO 32 of 2009 and Environmental Management. Indicators of ecoliteracy abilities in this research include aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills. The research location was carried out at SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi (Public Junior High school) which has environmental cleanliness problems. The research method used in this research is classroom action research using the Lewin model design interpreted by Kemmis. In its implementation, which coincides with the implementation of P5, there are 3 (three) cycles with a total of 12 actions, each of the three cycles has a different discussion concentration. The first cycle concentrates on the knowledge aspect with 5 actions, the second cycle concentrates on the attitude aspect with 4 actions, and the third cycle focuses on the skills aspect with 3 actions. As a result of this research, researchers obtained data on increasing aspects of attitudes towards the environment, getting an increase in scores from 1722.5 to 1820.0. Meanwhile, the score for the skills aspect has increased, it can be explained that research by developing ecoliteracy intelligence in social studies learning with a differentiated ecoliteracy approach has shown an increase in students' knowledge, attitudes and ecoliteracy intelligence skills. This shows that differentiated ecoliteracy learning can be a solution in solving problems in the classroom related to environmental problems.

Abstract

Abstract

This research on the myth and ritual of Ine Pare among the Ende-Lio community in Nida Village, Flores, Indonesia, aims to reveal how linguistic expressions encode local wisdom amid cultural marginalization. An ethnographic approach and linguistic anthropological theory are employed as the formal framework of the study. Data were collected through 16 weeks of participant observation and in-depth interviews with the traditional elder (Mosalaki) and five other key informants. Thematic data analysis found that the myth and ritual of Ine Mbu—the Rice Mother—represent a socio-ecological knowledge system supported by local rationality and religiosity. Socio-ecological knowledge is reflected in communal solidarity, equitable resource distribution, and environmental taboos. Local rationality is expressed through agricultural and nutritional knowledge. Religiosity is manifested in ancestor veneration, ritual obligations, and moral ethics enforced through communal sanctions. In this context, the Lio language, used in myths and ritual mantras, functions as the preserver and transmitter of these local wisdom values. The Nida-Ende community and its oral traditions and local wisdom remain relatively resilient due to geographic isolation. However, youth migration, digital and social media influx, and tourism commodification threaten these traditions. The implication of this research is strengthening linguistic anthropological scholarship regarding the relationship between oral traditions and local competencies (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) in sustaining ecological balance and social cohesion. These findings recommend undertaking cultural revitalization efforts, including documentation of local cultural heritage, integration of local wisdom into formal education curricula, and development of cultural tourism.
