Freedom of the press after the 1998 reform had an impact on increasing the number of mass media in Indonesia. Coupled with the presence of the internet as new media, making media competition increasingly complex. Faced with this phenomenon a number of media began to try to unite information technology, communication and content which is referred to as media convergence. This research is a qualitative research. Research data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. This research concludes that Radar Jogja implements the concept of continuum convergence. Radar Jogja has carried out four stages of continuum convergence namely cross promotion, cloning, coopetition, and content sharing. While the form of Radar Jogja's media convergence implementation in the face of media competition, is identified as follows (1) optimization of new media, Radar Jogja has succeeded in becoming a technology-literate media as evidenced by its activity on various media platforms. (2) The issue selection strategy, Radar Jogja is able to raise national issues which are then localized according to the conditions on the field. (3) bandling advertising, a strategy to get clients by providing a variety of advertising service choices. (4) coordination, build a solid team and work together to increase loyalty to the company.

This study attempts to analyze the propaganda delivered by the Habib in PKB Bersholawat initiated by PKB’s Majelis Pesona. After the reformation, Majelis Selawat in Indonesia was utilized for various interests, including for conveying political messages. One of them was Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) through the Majelis Pesona. Majelis Selawat in Indonesia became an effective medium for gathering large masses. Religion and politics touch the emotional and personal side of the congregation. Majelis Selawat are popular among Nahdliyin and Indonesian Muslims in general. PKB Bersholawat contains messages of da'wah and politics. PKB utilizes the Majelis Selawat as a medium of political communication to bring in the masses. PKB utilizes religious figures such as Habibs, Kiai, and Gus to achieve specific goals. With a qualitative approach and Jacques Ellul's propaganda theory, this study concludes that PKB utilizes the Majelis Selawat to convey political messages. The Majelis Selawat were chosen because they can bring in large numbers of Muslim masses and reflect PKB's identity as a party born from the aspirations of Nahdlatul Ulama members, with the jargon of the rahmatan lil alamin party. The propaganda used by PKB in PKB Bersholawat is a bandwagon, transfer, and glittering generalities, in the form of support for Muhaimin Iskandar to become president, which is conveyed through prayers read by a Habib.

This study presents the outcomes of a community service initiative conducted by Informatics Engineering students of UIN Jakarta, focusing on the enhancement of digital literacy—particularly digital safety and digital ethics—within the cultural context of Indonesian educational institutions. The program engaged nine schools across Jakarta, Tangerang City, South Tangerang, and Bogor, regions characterized by diverse educational and socio-cultural backgrounds. Emphasizing culturally sensitive approaches to digital interaction, the program provided participants with knowledge and ethical frameworks aligned with local values and community norms. Post-program evaluations revealed a marked increase in digital literacy, with an average score of 4.28 on a 5-point scale. Furthermore, 47.1% of participants rated the module on data security at the highest level. However, cultural barriers were also identified, including hesitancy from some institutions to adopt formal digital supervision structures, often due to traditional perceptions of trust and authority. Despite these challenges, the initiative proved effective in cultivating culturally-aware digital behavior, preparing participants to navigate the digital era while remaining rooted in local ethical standards.

Recent developments in da'wah show positive and progressive dynamics, including in Southeast Asia. This condition is supported by the very massive growth of digital media. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of da'wah in Southeast Asia, especially in the digital era. As a region, Southeast Asia has its own characteristics, giving it a distinctive style of preaching. Southeast Asian people are known to be friendly, moderate and religiously tolerant. This research is descriptive qualitative research and library research. The conclusion of this research is that the potential of Islam in Southeast Asia is not merely a numerical power as the largest Muslim community, namely one-fifth of Muslims worldwide and its geopolitical strength. Furthermore, the roots of moderate and pluralistic Islamic life in Southeast Asia which have long historical roots have demonstrated the promising potential of this region. Da'wah in Southeast Asia should be the prototype of global da'wah. Da'wah in Southeast Asia has characteristics that are accommodative to local culture and anti-violence. Moderate and tolerant da'wah in Southeast Asia has reflected the teachings of the Koran and the teachings of the Prophet, and has proven effective in inculcating Islamic values in society at large.

The use of comics as a medium for conveying religious messages has been present in Indonesia since at least the 1960s. However, few comics have seriously addressed critiques of conservative religious practices. This study aims to describe the critique of religious conservatism in the comic strips on the Instagram account @islamidotco. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The comics in this study are examined using Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis. The research concludes that the comic strips on the Instagram account islami.co represent a critique of religious conservatism. This is evident in a comic strip depicting a Santa Claus character who is a Muslim and is performing the midday prayer (ẓuhr). The issues discussed in the comic relate to Christmas-related controversies in the Indonesian context, such as debates over Christmas greetings, the prohibition of wearing Christmas attire, and the controversy surrounding Muslims’ giving and receiving of Christmas gifts.
