Abstract

Sign Language recognition was used to help people with normal hearing communicate effectively with the deaf and hearing-impaired. Based on survey that conducted by Multi-Center Study in Southeast Asia, Indonesia was on the top four position in number of patients with hearing disability (4.6%). Therefore, the existence of Sign Language recognition is important. Some research has been conducted on this field. Many neural network types had been used for recognizing many kinds of sign languages. However, their performance are need to be improved. This work focuses on the ASL (Alphabet Sign Language) in SIBI (Sign System of Indonesian Language) which uses one hand and 26 gestures. Here, thirty four features were extracted by using Leap Motion. Further, a new method, Rule Based-Backpropagation Genetic Al-gorithm Neural Network (RB-BPGANN), was used to recognize these Sign Languages. This method is combination of Rule and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPGANN). Based on experiment this pro-posed application can recognize Sign Language up to 93.8% accuracy. It was very good to recognize large multiclass instance and can be solution of overfitting problem in Neural Network algorithm.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the majority of the population converting to Islam, which is more than 87% of the total population of Indonesia. As Muslims who adhere to the teachings of Islam, the teachings that must be understood are tajweed lessons. Tajweed science is the science that studies how to read the Qur'an properly and correctly. Adherents of Islam in Indonesia are still many who do not understand and cannot read the Qur'an properly and correctly. Research noted that there are still about 65% of Indonesian Muslims still blind to the writings of the Qur'an. The importance of learning tajweed science is that it can read precisely, if there are errors in reading the Quran can change its true meaning. Tajweed lessons are commonly obtained through non-formal educational institutions that focus on learning Islam. The current pandemic period causes all learning activities to be limited and difficult, including learning al quran education.  Online learning applications today are still rare that develop Quran Education including tajweed science, so people who want to learn the science have not found the right tools. We are planning an application called I-SLA (Islamic learning application). I-SLA is a tajweed learning application that utilizes speech recognition to correct the pronunciation of the user's Quran and provide justification if in pronunciation there is still something wrong, this technology has the ability to exchange information using acoustic signals. In addition, there is a consulting feature of tajweed experts if they feel they want to deepen tajweed knowledge. The design of the application in this study was carried out in a direct manner. The mechanism of this research is made by conducting a literature study for the process of making software needs specifications, followed by the creation of software design with UI / UX, followed by the creation of applications and closed with testing. This process is carried out continuously in accordance with the planning period. The result of this study is the application of I-SLA (Islamic Learning Application) with the aim of users of children, adolescents, and adults who want to deepen tajweed science to improve its pronunciation.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara penghasil bawang merah terbesar di dunia, namun proses pemeliharaan tanaman bawang merah masih mengalami kendala, terutama dalam hal efisiensi sistem pengairan. Penerapan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) menawarkan solusi yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemeliharaan melalui sistem pemantauan dan pengendalian otomatis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem IoT yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi mobile untuk membantu petani di Desa Kare, Kabupaten Madiun dalam mengelola kebutuhan air tanaman bawang merah secara lebih efektif. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor BME280 yang terhubung ke ESP32 melalui jaringan Wi-Fi untuk memantau suhu dan kelembapan lingkungan, yang selanjutnya digunakan untuk mengendalikan katup solenoid guna mengatur pengairan secara otomatis sesuai kebutuhan tanaman. Aplikasi mobile dibangun menggunakan Flutter dan menyediakan fitur dashboard yang memungkinkan petani memantau data secara real-time. Pengujian sistem dilakukan melalui user acceptance testing dan device compatibility testing untuk memastikan integrasi dan kinerja sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu membantu petani dalam pengelolaan irigasi yang efisien dan menjaga kualitas tanaman, sehingga dapat mendukung peningkatan produktivitas serta hasil panen. Temuan ini penting sebagai langkah awal dalam pengembangan pertanian cerdas yang lebih berkelanjutan di Indonesia.

Abstract

A huge number of motorbike thefts are still happening in Surabaya City. The most way the thief does to steal the motorbike is damaging the ignition lock using a "T key" so that the motorbike can be started and can be taken easily by thief. Besides that, there are still many other ways to thief the motorbike. The number of theft cases indicates that there are some weaknesses in the safety system on motorbikes made by manufacturers, especially on motorbikes that use the conventional ignition lock system. Along with the rapid development of increasingly sophisticated technology, it can be utilized to improve the security system on motorbikes. The conventional ignition lock is very easy to break into and is not effective in preventing theft. Designing a system that can turn on a motorcycle through an e-KTP scanning using RFID can be the respond to the huge number of theft cases in Surabaya City. This system uses NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller that is connected to modules such as RFID, GPS, and relays. Through this system, the owner can also monitor the position of his motorcycle through an application connected to the GPS and microcontroller placed in the motorcycle. In case of theft, the motorcycle owner can turn off the motorcycle through the application then the motorcycle will die and cannot be restarted.
