Abstract

Educators must address low motivation in Physics learning, and technological advancements offer solutions to engage students actively. This research investigates the impact of using Classpoint on student motivation in Physics courses. Employing quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design, the study focuses on first-semester students in the physics education program at Adzkia University. Data analysis, conducted using SPSS and the one paired sample t-test, reveals a significant increase in student learning motivation (p = 0.001) post-implementation of Classpoint. These findings highlight the effectiveness of interactive learning media like Classpoint in enhancing student motivation, emphasizing the potential for developing such tools to elevate the quality of education in the digital age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif antara kelompok siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan media cmaptools, dan kelompok siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest dan metode deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi: tes kemampuan kognitif. Peningkatan kemampuan kognitif ditentukan melalui rata-rata N-gain. Hasil perhitungan rata-rata N-gain diperoleh bahwa rata-rata kelompok N-gain siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan cmaptools adalah 0,63 (kategori sedang), sedangkan rata-rata kelompok N-gain siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 0,49 (kategori sedang). Hasil uji statistik (uji-t) menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan cmaptools dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Background of the problem in this research is during the learning process, the learning process is still teacher centered (teacher centered learning), so that the students have not been involved and lees focus. The division of the group that carried out theteacher’s not in a heterogeneous, so that the impact on students. Students are less motivated for the award of the teacher. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type student teams achievement division (STAD) towards science learning outcomes of students of class V elementary school 33 Kalumbuk PadangThis research type that is research quantitative, with desain research is quasi-experimental design. Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, in this design there are two classes, then used as the experimental class and the control class. The results of this study, shows that 2.594 greater than = 1.691. Based on the results, this study has proven that the use of cooperative learning model type student teams achievement division (STAD) influences significantly on student’s learning outcomes in natural science learning materials on digestive organs in the class V SD Negeri 33 Kalumbuk Padang academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes in the world of education. The blended learning model is an innovative solution that combines face-to-face learning with digital technology. This study aims to introduce the use of the Facebook social media platform as a learning tool at SMAN 3 Lengayang. This service program is designed to increase the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, encourage active interaction between teachers and students, and improve student participation in the learning process. The implementation method involves several stages, namely initial surveys, teacher and student training, program implementation, and program effectiveness evaluation. The survey results showed a significant increase in several aspects, including student active participation which increased from 45% to 85%, the frequency of teacher-student interaction increased from 2 to 5 times per week, and teacher satisfaction which increased by 80%. This program also helps increase student learning independence from 40% to 75%. The challenges faced include limited internet access, low student motivation, and lack of technological devices. Solution efforts carried out include providing internet access in the school environment, lending devices to students, and providing incentives to increase online learning motivation

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to comparative analysis of quantity of misconception, then student’s attitude scale after applying conceptual interactive learning with cmaptools media. This research used quasy experiment with Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest design and descriptive methods. The research sample was class X9 dan X10 semester 2 of Senior High Scool at Cimahi. Instruments that used were concept understanding test with CRI, observation form, student’s attitude scale form. Based on CRI analysis, the result were experiment class has more less misconception than control class. The result of student’s attitude scale was almost of all students agree that applying conceptual interactive learning with cmaptools media can motivate, gain concept understanding and can be applied for another concept in physicsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbandingan kuantitas miskonsepsi, serta deskripsi skala sikap siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan quasy experiment dengan desain Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest dan metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan analisis CRI diperoleh kuantitas miskonsepsi pada kelas eksperimen lebih kecil dibanding kelas kontrol. Hasil skala sikap siswa menyatakan hampir seluruh siswa setuju bahwa pembelajaran konseptual interaktif berbantuan cmaptools dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep.

Abstract

This research is motivated by deficiencies in the science learning process. It is known that the dominant teaching method used is lecture, which minimally involves students in active learning. As a result, students are not given extensive opportunities to independently find solutions to problems or understand the concepts presented. This research aims to determine the impact of implementing Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by teaching aids on the science learning outcomes of class IV students. This research method uses a Quasi-Experimental design, specifically using a posttest-only control design. The experiment was carried out by comparing the posttest results of students who experienced the PBL model with those who did not. The research results through data analysis using the t test produced a t value of 2.52 and a t table value of 1.682. This shows that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of the PBL model assisted by teaching aids on the science learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN 21 Lubuk Lintah, Padang City.

Abstract

The National Science Olympiad (OSN) is a competition event in the field of science for students at elementary, middle and high school levels in Indonesia. Students who take part in OSN are students who have passed district and provincial level selection, so they are the best students from their respective provinces. One indicator of the success of the learning process at school is student success in academic competitions such as OSN. The 2023 OSN will be held in August in the city of Bogor, West Java Province. Before going to OSN, students undergo school level selection (OSN-S) in February, district/city level selection (OSN-K) is held in April, Provincial level selection (OSN-P) is held in June. Considering that this prestigious competency is routinely carried out every year and selection is carried out at the beginning of every year, it is therefore necessary for schools to prepare their best students continuously and sustainably. This OSN is one part of a series of selections to get the best students from all over Indonesia who will be further guided by their respective competition teams and will be included in international level Olympiads. OSN is a never-ending process. Students and all educational stakeholders involved in it take turns carrying out productive work. Starting from selecting prospective OSN participants, imparting knowledge, maintaining and developing mastery of knowledge, to reaping the rewards as a young scientist. For teachers, as direct supervisors at the school level, this OSN competition is clearly a challenge in itself. Although it must be admitted that the weight of the material and the quality of questions at the level of Olympic questions are relatively much more difficult than the material usually taught in schools. It is even said that the majority of resources in schools are not yet able to handle it. Apart from that, the school's references and financial support for its development are not yet available adequately. This is actually the main obstacle for most schools to play an active role in preparing their students to take part in OSN competitions. Based on experience in the field, so far West Sumatra is only represented by a few schools. Therefore, the Adzkia Physics Education Study Program was called upon to overcome this problem by carrying out training to increase the competency of junior high school students at the Ar-Risale Islamic College in Padang in preparing students for OSN in the field of science (physics). This service is carried out by delivering material equipped with modules and discussion of National Science Olympiad questions.
