Abstract

The obstacle faced by snakehead fish farmers is the provision of feed that has quality and a high protein content for the growth period of fish. Natural feed can be an alternative. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the natural feeding of gold snails, earthworms, and Hongkong caterpillar types on the growth of snakehead fish. The research was conducted from January to February 2022, in Adipasir Village RT. 07 RW. 02 Rakit District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java. The method used in this study was experimentally arranged using a completely randomized design (CRD). This study consisted of 4 treatments with 4 replications and each treatment consisted of 5 snakehead fish so the number of containers used was 16 pieces and 80 snakehead fish. The analysis used was a one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with an error level of α = 0.05. The treatment consisted of T1 (control with Pellet), T2 (gold snail), T3 (earthworms), and T4 (Hongkong Caterpillars). The results showed that natural feeding influences the growth of snakehead fish. The best treatment is natural food in the form of a Hongkong caterpillar with an absolute weight of 4.7475 g, an absolute length of 3.63 cm, FCR of 1.07.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas warna tubuh ikan hias seperti ikan cupang (Betta sp) merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam menunjang nilai jual dan daya tariknya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui pemberian pakan alami yang diperkaya nutrisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh suplementasi tepung wortel dan tepung bit pada cacing sutra (Tubifex sp.) terhadap kandungan nutrisi cacing serta dampaknya terhadap warna tubuh dan pertumbuhan ikan cupang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kramat Selatan, Magelang Utara, menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Variabel utama yang diamati meliputi kandungan nutrisi cacing sutra, intensitas warna tubuh ikan cupang, serta pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang ikan. Kualitas air dipantau sebagai variabel pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi tepung wortel dan tepung bit meningkatkan kandungan nutrisi cacing sutra, terutama pada kadar abu, lemak, dan serat. Pemberian cacing sutra yang telah diperkaya tersebut berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan warna tubuh ikan cupang secara signifikan, dengan perlakuan P2 menunjukkan rata-rata intensitas warna sebesar 22,78% dan perbedaan nyata berdasarkan hasil analisis ANOVA dan DMRT (p<0,05). Kesimpulannya, suplementasi tepung wortel dan bit pada pakan cacing sutra efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas nutrisi cacing dan memperbaiki kualitas warna tubuh ikan cupang

Abstract

Ikan beong memiliki potensi pasar yang menjanjikan sebagai produk perikanan, namun produksi ikan ini menghadapi beberapa tantangan, termasuk pertumbuhan yang lambat, sifat kanibalisme yang tinggi, sensitivitas tinggi terhadap kualitas air, dan sangat rentan terhadap penyakit. Pemberian bakteri probiotik yang dikembangkan dari saluran pencernaan ikan dapat mencegah resistensi bakteri. Sebelumnya, bakteri asam laktat (BAL) dengan kode UBB7 dari saluran pencernaan ikan beong telah berhasil diisolasi. Namun, konfirmasi akurat tentang sifat antibakteri dan identifikasi spesies isolat bakteri ini belum pernah ditemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkonfirmasi sifat antibakteri dan mengidentifikasi spesies isolat UBB7 berdasarkan analisis gen 16S rRNA. Metode penelitian ini adalah pemurnian dan pewarnaan Gram isolat UBB7, ekstraksi, amplifikasi, elektroforesis dan sekuensing. Hasil pewarnaan Gram menunjukkan isolat UBB7 adalah bakteri Gram-positif berbentuk kokus dengan sifat antibakteri yang lebih kuat terhadap Streptococcus agalactiae dibandingkan dengan Aeromonas hydrophila (zona hambat 16,2 mm vs 14,1 mm). Nilai kemurnian DNA isolat UBB7 menunjukkan 1,98 (panjang gelombang/λ = 260/280) dan 3,72 (λ = 260/230) dan memiliki panjang 1412 pasang basa (bp). Hasil Basic Local Alignment Search Tool BLAST menunjukkan bahwa isolat UBB7 diidentifikasi sebagai Lactococcus cremoris strain 4136. Bakteri ini dapat diaplikasikan lebih lanjut sebagai probiotik, jika diteliti secara luas di masa depan untuk industri akuakultur

Abstract

Optimizing nutrient utilization and minimizing feed costs are essential for supporting fish growth, with winged bean presenting a viable solution. This study aimed to determine the optimal dosage of dietary winged bean extract supplementation to enhance the growth performance of catfish. Catfish (mean weight 7.44 ± 0.16 g) were stocked at a density of 1 fish/L in 20 L containers. A completely randomized design was utilized, comprising four treatment groups based on the dosage of winged bean seed extract: 0 ml/kg feed (P1), 10 ml/kg feed (P2), 30 ml/kg feed (P3), and 50 ml/kg feed (P4), with each treatment replicated four times. Growth performance parameters included absolute length (Pm), absolute weight (Wm), feed intake (FI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), specific growth rate (SGR), and survival rate (SR). Data were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA, followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a 95% confidence level (p<0.05). Catfish fed P4 exhibited the best growth performance, with Pm of 4.32 ± 0.51 cm, Wm of 15.75 ± 2.75 g, SGR of 52.49 ± 9.18%/day, and FCR of 1.21 ± 0.09, though insignificantly different from P3. This study concluded that 50 ml/kg feed of winged bean seed extract optimally enhances catfish growth performance.

Abstract

Proses absensi dan pengajuan cuti manual di PT. Armont Hodiy Situmeang terkendala efisiensi waktu, kesulitan bagi karyawan lapangan, serta risiko ketidakakuratan dan kehilangan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem absensi online berbasis web untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi data, dan mempermudah proses absensi serta pengajuan cuti, dengan validasi foto sebagai bukti kehadiran. Metode pengembangan menggunakan Waterfall (analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi PHP Laravel dan MySQL, pengujian Black Box). Hasilnya adalah sistem dengan fitur absensi online (unggah foto), pengelolaan data karyawan, pengajuan cuti digital, dan rekapitulasi absensi. Pengujian Black Box terhadap 15 skenario fungsional utama menunjukkan validitas 100%. Sistem ini terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi data, kemudahan akses, dan menyediakan solusi digital modern dengan validasi foto untuk PT. Armont Hodiy Situmeang

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the supplementation of yellow pumpkin peel powder on the coloration of lemon fish. The powder lemon fish with an average length of 3 cm and a weight of 0.83 g as many as 240 fish. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and four replicates, namely P1 (0 g/100 g feed), P2 (5 g/100 g feed), P3 (10 g/100 g feed), and P4 (15 g/100 g feed). The aquariums used were 50x30x30 cm in size, with 16 aquariums and 15 fish per aquarium. The fish were reared for 30 days and fed based on fish biomass. The parameters observed were growth performance (absolute weight, absolute length, and survival), water quality, feed nutrient levels, and increased color intensity. Data on growth performance and increased color intensity were analyzed using a one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) to determine the real difference between each treatment and followed by the Duncan multiple distance test (DMRT) with a 95% confidence interval (p<0.05). Water quality data and feed nutrient levels were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that dietary supplementation with yellow pumpkin peel powder did not affect the growth performance of lemon fish, but it did affect the coloration of lemon fish. The best treatment for increasing the color of lemon fish was P4, with a color increase value of 31.5%.

Abstract

In fish farming activities, problems often arise that must be faced by farmers, the main factor causing the failure of fish farming efforts is the emergence of disease attacks. The type of disease that often attacks carp (Cyprinus carpio) is the bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila. Efforts made by farmers using artificial drugs or antibiotics. The use of antibiotics does not always have a positive effect; there are also negative effects. Therefore, natural, environmentally friendly handling is needed, and water lily leaf extract plants (Crinum asiaticum L.) are able to treat A. hyrophila infections in farmed fish. This study aims to determine the soaking of water lily leaf extract on the survival and optimal concentration that can reduce infection in carp juvenile (Cyprinus carpio). The research method used is an experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment P1 (20 ml of water lily leaf extract), treatment P2 (40 ml of water lily leaf extract), and P3 (60 ml of water lily leaf extract). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If the results were significantly different, they were followed up with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that the provision of water lily leaf extract (Crinum asiaticum L.) soaking had a very significant effect on the survival of carp (Cyprinus carpio) juvenile. The optimal concentration that can reduce A. hyrophila bacterial infection is in treatment P1 (20 ml) with the highest survival rate of 90%. Water quality during the study obtained a temperature value between 23-27.3 oC, pH between 6.9-8.45, and DO levels between 4.1-8.3 mg/l.

Abstract

Reservoirs are one of the waters used for fishing activities. One of them is the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir which is used for cultivating tilapia using the KJA system. Activities around the reservoir can affect the quality of the water in it. The aim of this research is to determine the condition of reservoir water quality and to determine the suitability of reservoir waters for tilapia cultivation activities in the KJA system. The method used in this research is the matching and scoring method, which is then used to obtain the water suitability value. The ArcGIS application is also used to map and calculate the area that can be used for cultivation. The parameters measured are temperature, brightness, depth, current speed, basic substrate, pH, DO, CO₂,nitrate, ammonia, and phosphate. The suitability of the waters of the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir at 6 station points is divided into 3 classifications, namely, stations 1 and 2 are in the S3 category (marginally suitable), stations 3, 4 and 6 are in the S2 category (quite suitable) and station 5 is in the S1 category (very suitable). The scores obtained by each station are as follows: station 1 with a score of 34 (70.83%), station 2 with a score of 33 (68.75%), station 3 with a score of 37 (77.08%), station 4 with a score of 40 (83.33%), station 5 with a score of 43 (89.58%), and station 6 with a score of 39 (81.25%). The overall results show that the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir has a suitability value in the S2 category or is moderately suitable.
