Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is often called the silent killer because this disease can affect all organs of the body and cause several kinds of complaints. The number of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) based on the province in South Sumatra is 5,220 people. The region with the most sufferers is Lubuk Linggau City with 1,176 DM sufferers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and length of illness with the compliance of respondents to control blood sugar levels at Rupit Hospital, Muratara Regency. This type of research uses analytic observations with cross sectional methods. The sample in this study were type 2 DM patients as many as 42 samples. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, the researcher conducted an interview with the help of a questionnaire instrument. The dependent variable in this study was compliance with blood sugar control, while the independent variables were characteristics and length of illness. Data analysis using the Chi Square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between age and education with respondents' compliance with controlling blood sugar levels (p = 0.000) and there was no relationship between work and length of illness with compliance with controlling blood sugar levels (p> 0.005). Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age and education with respondents' compliance in controlling blood sugar levels, and there is no relationship between work and length of illness with respondents' compliance in controlling blood sugar levels. The research suggestion is for the hospital to increase knowledge and information to patients with type 2 DM about the dangers posed by diabetes mellitus in the form of complications and how to handle them.

Abstract

The hospital is a complete individual health service organization that provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services provided for the benefit of the community in terms of improving the quality of life (Johan, 2005). One that determines patient satisfaction is the quality of nursing services on the quality of health services, in fact it is one of the determining factors for the image of health service institutions (hospitals) in the eyes of the public (Hayati 2010). Customer satisfaction is a key determinant of service demand levels and supply functions or operations. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the Quality of Nursing Services and the Satisfaction of Inpatients at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital in 2022 This type of research is a descriptive quantitative research using a cross sectional approach. Sampling used accidental sampling technique with the number of respondents 75 inpatients in class 1, 2 and class 3 at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital. Statistical tests in this study used the frequency distribution test on univariate analysis and the chi-square test on bivariate analysis.The results showed that the quality of nursing services at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital was mostly good, most of the respondents felt high satisfaction, and the results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was a relationship between the quality of nursing services and the satisfaction of inpatients at the Regional General Hospital. Mukomuko Year 2022 p value 0.000 < α = 0.05. Through this research, it is hoped that nurses can improve the quality of service in inpatient rooms in order to increase patient satisfaction which will lead to a comprehensive quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a problem of adolescent reproductive health. The incidence of dysmenorrhea in the world is very large, on average almost more than 50% of women experience it. The dysmenorrhea rate in Indonesia is no less high than other countries in the world. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of drinking ginger on the level of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in female students at SMAN 2 Bengkulu City in 2022.Treatment of dysmenorrhea has developed in society, both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. The pharmacological approach is by administering analgesic and sedative drugs. While the non-pharmacological approach is by giving ginger drink.The method in this study is quantitative, using a quasy experiment with a pre-post test one group design approach. The sample in the study was 20 respondents who were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study uses the Wilcoxon statistical test.This study used a ginger drink concoction that can be used to reduce menstrual pain dysmenorrhea in female students at SMAN 02 Bengkulu City with a dose of 200 ml/day of ginger water given in the morning during the first menstrual day to the third day of menstruation.The results showed that the mean value of dysmenorrhea before intervention was .5.45 with a standard deviation value of 0.686. the mean value of dysmenorrhea after the intervention was 3.10 with a standard deviation value of 0.641. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the effect of ginger drink on the level of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in students at SMAN 2 Bengkulu City in 2022.The conclusion in this study is ginger drink can overcome menstrual pain. It is hoped that adolescents who experience dysmenorrhea will use ginger drinks.

Abstract

Intoduction: Tuberculosis is an old disease that is still the most killer among infectious diseases, Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) will have a direct impact on sufferers, namely physical weakness, continuous cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, decreased appetite, weight loss, night sweats and high heat while the impact on families is untreated Pulmonary TB sufferers will transmit TB germs to their families, and it will be very difficult if TB sufferers live in one house with many people.The purpose of this study was to understand and apply nursing care Effective Cough Techniques in Pulmonary Tb Patients with the Application of Florance Nightingale Theory.This study uses a method that is a nursing process approach based on the chosen nursing theory, the techniques used in data collection are interviews, observations, physical examinations and conducting nursing care. The source of data obtained or used is primary obtained directly from patients and secondary data obtained from family, health workers and documentation from other examination results to carry out nursing care, while literature study is to study source books related to nursing care given to patients. Nightingale views nursing as a health science and elaborates nursing as directing towards the improvement and management of the physical environment so that nature will heal patients. Therefore, nursing activities include providing education on hygiene in the household and environment to help women create or create a healthy environment for their families and communities that basically aims to prevent disease.Where the purpose of nursing action is to maintain, prevent infection and injury, recover from illness, conduct health education and control the environment. The reason for nursing according to Florence Nightingale is to put humans in the best condition naturally to heal or improve health and prevent disease and injury

Abstract

The World Health Organization (2022) estimates that oral diseases affect nearly 3.5 billion people worldwide. Globally, an estimated 2 billion people suffer from permanent dental caries and 514 million children suffer from primary dental caries. Untreated dental caries (tooth decay) in permanent teeth is the most common health condition according to the Global Burden of Disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between tooth brushing behavior and cariogenic food consumption habits with the incidence of dental caries at SD Negeri 50, Bengkulu City in 2024. The research method used was descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 69 people representing all students at SD Negeri 50, Bengkulu City. The results of the univariate test analysis showed that most respondents (53.6%) had sufficient tooth brushing behavior, most respondents (55.1%) had moderate cariogenic food consumption habits, and most respondents (66.7%) did not have dental caries. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained the results of tooth brushing behavior (0.000) and cariogenic food consumption habits (0.000) with the incidence of dental caries. There is a relationship between tooth brushing behavior and cariogenic food consumption with the incidence of dental caries at SD Negeri 50, Bengkulu City in 2024. The researcher suggests that for SD Negeri 50, Bengkulu City, the results of this study can be the basis for implementing guidance, coaching, and counseling programs on dental caries.
