Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the multifaceted nature of rural community resilience in the face of climate change. It sought to identify how social, ecological, and institutional factors interact to support or hinder adaptive capacity in rural settings, particularly where infrastructure is limited. Materials and methods. This review drew upon global literature and case studies to explore resilience frameworks and adaptation strategies. The analysis integrated structural approaches, including the Baseline Resilience Indicators for Communities (BRIC) and the STAR model (Specific assets, Tradeable specialization, Access to markets, Resources), to provide lenses for assessing rural resilience and informing policy interventions. Results. The review revealed that social capital, traditional ecological knowledge, and livelihood diversity are critical foundations for resilience and transformative potential. Adaptation strategies such as diversified agriculture, agroforestry, participatory planning, and ecosystem-based approaches were found to be effective in enhancing socio-ecological sustainability. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, insufficient institutional support, unequal access to finance and technology, and erosion of local knowledge persist and constrain resilience-building efforts. Conclusions. This study concludes that while promising practices exist, gaps remain in comprehensive frameworks and in the design of inclusive, participatory policies. Strengthening rural resilience requires localized, equity-driven approaches that integrate local knowledge with institutional support, while addressing systemic barriers to resources and infrastructure. Future research should prioritize community-driven models and multi-scalar strategies to better fortify rural resilience amid accelerating global environmental change.

Abstract

Blockchain technology has attracted significant attention due to its potential to revolutionize administrative processes by increasing transparency, efficiency and trust. This systematic literature review (SLR) aims to provide insight into the impact of blockchain technology on administrative processes, as well as the challenges and risks associated with its implementation. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study explores the main challenges faced by organizations in adopting blockchain technology in their administrative processes and investigates strategies and solutions to reduce security, privacy, and governance risks. Additionally, practical recommendations are offered for organizations considering or currently undergoing blockchain implementation in their administrative processes. The findings highlight the transformative potential of blockchain technology in improving administrative processes across a wide range of sectors, while also emphasizing the need to address technical, security, governance and regulatory challenges. Additionally, a framework and guidelines for effective blockchain implementation are proposed, with a focus on secure design principles, best practices in maintaining data security and privacy, and the establishment of a governance model and regulatory framework. However, it is acknowledged that this study has limitations, including the scope of the available literature and the possibility of new developments in blockchain technology that have not been uncovered in this review. Future research is needed to address these limitations and further explore the implications of blockchain implementation in an administrative context. Overall, this study provides valuable insights to our understanding of the potential and challenges associated with the use of blockchain technology in improving efficiency and transparency in administrative processes

Abstract

The rapid development of blockchain technology has attracted attention across various sectors due to the need for secure and transparent transactions. Despite increasing adoption, most studies focus on technical aspects, resulting in a lack of understanding of its impact on organizational performance and strategic decision-making. This study uses a narrative review of peer-reviewed literature from the past 10 years, analyzing blockchain applications, outcomes, risks, and opportunities. The findings indicate that blockchain improves operational efficiency, transparency, trust, and governance, while supporting rapid, data-driven strategic decision-making and business model innovation. Implementation challenges include cybersecurity, interoperability, scalability, organizational resistance, high costs, and regulatory ambiguity. Blockchain integration offers significant transformational potential but requires effective risk management, capability development, and change management strategies. This review fills this literature gap and provides guidance for further research and managerial practice.

Abstract

Digital transformation (TD) is the key to increasing organizational agility (OA) in a competitive era, but emerging markets face unique challenges due to limited resources. This research aims to identify key barriers to achieving OA through TD in resource-limited emerging markets, and offers literature-based recommendations for overcoming them. By using the method Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA framework, this research analyzes 28 articles relevant data from Scopus databases, Web of Science, and others. Results show that key barriers include limited digital infrastructure, lack of managerial skills, and cultural resistance to change, while proposed solutions involve cross-sector collaboration, increased digital capacity, and government policies that support innovation ecosystems. The implications of this research provide strategic insights for policymakers, organizational leaders, and practitioners to drive effective TD in emerging markets.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) to increase financial inclusion in emerging markets, particularly in the context of the informal economy, which still dominates economic activity in many regions. Through a comprehensive literature review of previous studies, policy reports, and international regulatory documents, this research analyzes how the design and implementation of CBDCs can bridge the financial access gap faced by marginalized groups and workers in the informal sector. The study finds that CBDCs have significant potential to provide cheaper, safer, and more accessible payment systems, as well as increase trust in the formal financial system. However, these benefits are highly dependent on factors such as technical design, public trust, digital infrastructure, and privacy protection policies. This research recommends that the development of CBDCs in developing countries seriously consider the local socio-economic context and foster close collaboration between governments, the private sector, and local communities to ensure inclusive and sustainable adoption.
