Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the types and values contained in the types of local wisdom that grow and develop in communities in the Creative Tourism Area, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people who were selected non-probability using the snowball technique. The data were obtained using a survey method using a questionnaire which was analyzed using qualitative methods. The results showed that in Simanindo Subdistrict, there can still be found a number of cultural values of local wisdom (both in physical and non-physical form) in the lives of the people who live in this area. Even so, not a few have experienced value shifts and extinction. In general, local wisdom can be classified into five values, namely cultural, social, religious, molar, and economic.

Abstract

Call and service are divine mandate carried out by humans for the glory of His name. God calls to reveal His will to humans. Serving as a call means that we respond to God's salvation work in our lives by being partners with God, doing divine tasks and doing care for His church until the Lord Jesus returns. God calls generally to all people to believe in Him, but on the other hand, God also calls certain people whom He wants for the assignments He will give. In the context of Churching in HKBP, this particular call is stated through the call of the servant of the sanctifying ceremony (Partohonan). There are six ordination services in HKBP, namely: Presbyter, Church Teachers, Pastors, Evangelists, Biblevrow, and Deaconesses and each office of ordination ministers in HKBP have its own characteristics and duties.Keywords: call, service, HKBP Church

Abstract

UMKM have enough role big in development economy national. UMKM are activity capable effort expand field work and give service the wider economy of society. UMKM really need Source Power Qualified human (HR) in face competition business moment this. Qualified human resources and have power global competitiveness to Thing determinant UMKM success. Destination study this is for explore strengthening UMKM human resources towards internationalization. Method used in study this is method exploration descriptive that is with analyze the strategy of empowering UMKM in facing the international market with use review approach or studies library. Research results state that HR is superior could obtained through increasing human resources with good quality education formally or informally. Excellent HR capable manage UMKM with utilize wisdom local, good wisdom tangible and intangible local, so that every UMKM has the uniqueness and advantages of each UMKM. With intelligence and skills possessed by UMKM, UMKM can manage wisdom existing local so that UMKM products can compete in the international market.

Abstract

Keadaan topografi Desa Dokan secara umum adalah merupakan daerah perbukitan atau dataran tinggi. Yang memiliki iklim kemarau dan penghujan, dimana hal tersebut mempunyai pengaruh langsung terhadap pola tanam yang ada di desa Dokan Kecamatan Merek. Iklim yang menentukan pola tanam masyarakat sangatlah penting dikarenakan mayoritas mata pencahariaan masyarakat Desa Dokan adalah sebagai petani. Penduduk desa Dokan dengan proporsi 47,1% berjenis kelamin perempuan merupakan potensi yang seharusnya diberdayakan dan berkontribusi dalam ketahanan pangan keluarga. pada tahun 2030 variabilitas iklim akan mengancam ketahanan pangan, sehingga diperkirakan jumlah masyarakat yang kekurangan gizi akan meningkat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan pemberdayaan sumberdaya perempuan dan pendampingan melalui pengolahan  daun kelor. Kelompok perempuan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan dan berkomitmen bersama untuk berdaya dalam ketahanan pangan keluarga dengan menyediakan bahan makanan yang bernutrisi salah satunya bahan makanan yang berbahan dasar olahan daun kelor.

Abstract

This paper presents a new and significant contribution to the socio-cultural and economic fields, in particular looking at the relationship of cultural values to the improvement of the community's economy through the tourism business in the Samosir district.  The results of the study show that in general the values of local wisdom, namely cultural values, aesthetic values, spiritual values, ethical values, and economic values, have direct and mediated tourism competitive advantages mediated by promotions. However, social value has no significant effect on competitive advantage either directly or mediated by promotion. The use of local cultural wisdom values for tourism competitive advantage is one of the strategies in an effort to increase tourism in Samosir district so that it can improve the economic life of the people of Samosir district.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the role of village officials, village apparatus competence, community participation, and information technology on village financial management accountability. The method for determining the sample is proportional stratified random sampling and data collection using a questionnaire. This study shows that community participation and information technology have a significant effect on village financial management accountability. This study shows that the better community participation and information technology are, the better the accountability of village financial management. Meanwhile, the role and  competence of village officials do not affect the accountability of village financial management. The competence of village officials in this study is still inadequate and still requires regular assistance and training for accountability in village financial management.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has natural resources that are very potential, especially in the tourism sector. One of them is in the Lake Toba area, which is located in the province of North Sumatra. Among the various existing villages, Nagori Tigaras Village, which is directly adjacent to the south and west of Lake Toba, is a village that has all the potential that is no less attractive to be developed into an independent and sustainable tourism area. However, this potential is not supported by the availability of qualified and qualified human resources to manage all of this potential so that assistance is needed that does not only last for a moment but is sustainable so that the village can manage its territory independently to produce sustainable efforts to support national economic growth. Based on these considerations, this community service activity was carried out which began with socialization activities in the form of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) which were followed by participatory mapping together with the community and local government. From this activity, produced a documentary film, a dedication journal, and news that has been published in print media which functions as a media for promotion and communication.

Abstract

Nutrition is a top priority in determining the health of the elderly. Nutritional disorders in the elderly are often difficult to detect and require careful nutritional assessment One of the factors that influence it is nutritional care which has a positive effect on the energy intake of the elderly, so that the role of the elderly themselves is needed in maintaining their healthy quality. The purpose of this community service activity is to assess nutritional status and train the elderly in muscle nutrition management in the form of a book listing the activities carried out and their explanations. This activity was carried out on August 12, 2021 in the area of ​​​​the Medan Sunggal sub-district. These activities provide important benefits for the regulation of elderly nutrition and provide motivation that the elderly are able to make changes in healthy living behavior.

Abstract

A health test is an examination carried out to determine a person's health standards. Priority checks are carried out on the elderly, where the elderly may experience health problemsHealth Checkup includes checking blood pressure, blood glucose, urine and cholesterol. The objective of this activity is to carry out early detection of the elderly to prevent chronic diseases. The activity was carried out on August 12, 2021 in the area of the Medan Sunggal sub-district. The examination gave positive results for the community. People who check him can know the condition of his body. This examination also provides input and recommendations for therapy that must be carried out by the elderly while health is still available. This condition is marked by a change in the value of the Health examination results which increases from the normal amount.
