Abstract

Milkfish is a leading commodity in Gresik Regency, not only because of the high demand but also the high interest in cultivating milkfish as well as the distinctive taste of meat and high nutritional value. Based on interviews with milkfish farmers in Ujung Pangkah District, it is known that the productivity of the milkfish pond has decreased from year to year. The decrease in productivity in fish farming can be caused by various factors, including decreased environmental carrying capacity and water quality. The liver is one of the important organs of higher organisms including fish, which functions to detoxify and secrete chemicals used for the digestive process. The liver plays a role in metabolic processes and the transformation of pollutants from the environment. So, in this study, histological analysis of the milkfish liver was carried out, among others, the aim of which was to determine the health status of milkfish. From the analysis, it is known that the liver tissue of the milkfish in the sampling location is in an unhealthy condition due to congestion, necrosis and tissue damage or loss of connective tissue.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the histology of kidney, liver and heart organs in African catfish Clarias gariepinus not pectoral fin which originated from maintenance in aquaculture ponds. The study was conducted in June 2018 at the Reproductive Laboratory of Fisheries Cultivation Study Program, Department of Water Resources Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Brawijaya University, Malang. This research method is descriptive of the object under study that is abnormal fish and the sample specified is 3 individuals. There are 3 target organs, namely kidney, liver and heart. As a comparison, a normal fish sample is used, which is a complete pectoral fin fish. Each organ is examined by the parts that most play a role in the function of the organ. The results of the study showed that abnormal African catfish glomelurus underwent changes that merged with the bowman capsule, whereas in the liver it was found that the hepatocyte nucleus was shrinking and fading. Abstract

The exploration of bacteria needs to be done because of different habitats or aquatic environmental conditions, but also it is different for bacterial communities found in the digestivetract of fish. In the Gresik area, exploration of bacterial communities in the digestive tract, especially tilapia, has not been widely carried out. This study aims to determine the colony ofmorphology, cells, and gram characters of bacteria in the digestive tract of tilapia. As well as the optimal pH and temperature in bacterial rejuvenation. The research was conducted in the KaVe laboratory (Kampung Vannamei), the research procedure is the manufacture of media for bacterial growth, gram staining to determine the properties of bacteria, bacterial growth at different temperatures and pH. In this study, the results of colony morphological characterization of all isolates were round, all surface shapes were raised, the edges for NL 1isolates were irregular, NL 2 was wavy, and NL 3 was irregular. The color of all isolates is white for NL 1, which is yellowish white. And the size of the isolates was NL 1 4 µm, NL 2 8 µm,and NL3 5.65 µm. The rejuvenation results with ph showed no significant difference, while the temperature treatment showed significantly different results, namely the NL 1 and NL 3treatments with optimal temperatures of 27.2 OC and 31.7 OC. The results of this study still need further tests on identification based on biochemical characteristics and bacterial DNAtesting using PCR techniques and testing the ability of bacteria using substrates.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is home to various coastal biota, including the mangrove crab (Scylla spp.). This crab is found practically in all coastal water overgrown with mangroves and can adapt well to high salinity. Banyuurip’s mangrove features environmental characteristics as well as a relatively large diversity of mangrove species, making it suitable for silvofishery farming. In this study, line transects and remote sensing analyses utilizing Landsat 8 satellite imagery were employed at 5 research sites using the ArcGIS v.9.0 and ENVI v.11.0 map processing appliations. The ImageJ program was used to determine the percentage of mangrove coverage data. The results revealed a dominance of Avicennia marina, Bruguiera cylindrica, Rhizopora stylosa, Rhizopora mucronata, Ceriops tagal, and Sonneratia alba mangroves scattered at least at two stations along the waters of Banyuurip Beach, where mangrove crabs preferred the leaf litter of these mangrove species. The percentage of coverage in the mangrove region at stations 1-5 is medium to tight, ranging from 23.56±8.75 – 68.14±7.77%. Stations 1-3 were found to be good for cultivating adult crabs, whereas stations 4-5 were found to be excellent for immature crabs. The amount of mangroves is expected to rise from 1249.578 Ha to 1546.215 Ha between 2018 and 2022. The overlay findings demostrate that there is potential mud crab cultivation using the silvofishery method, with the total area available for early stage development is 342.603 Ha.

Abstract

Green mussels (Perna viridis) in Banyu Urip Village, Ujung Pangkah Gresik District, have great potential to be developed due to the abundant availability of seeds in nature, easy cultivation methods, namely using floating net cages and step nets, and high market demand. One of the issues with green mussels is the high content of the heavy metal Lead (Pb) in their flesh, which is caused by heavy metal accumulation in the waters. The goal of this study was to isolate, characterize, and test the ability of heavy metal Lead-Pb bacteria to biosorb heavy metal Pb in post-harvest green mussels from sediments and green mussels in the Banyu urip Ujung Pangkah Gresik Sea. The stages of the research included sampling, isolation, macroscopic and microscopic characterization, in vitro testing of Pb heavy metal absorbent. The results showed 6 bacterial isolates, namely two from green mussels coded K1 and K2 and 4 bacterial isolates from marine sediments coded S1, S2, S3 and S4. The six bacterial isolates obtained macroscopic and microscopic characteristics and have been shown in vitro to be able to grow in Nutrient agar enriched 0.8 mg/L Pb(NO3)2.

Abstract

Desa Sungai Teluk, Kecamatan Sangkapura, Kabupaten Gresik, merupakan daerah pesisir di Pulau Bawean yang memiliki potensi wisata dan marikultur yang tinggi. Mayoritas masyarakat setempat mengandalkan sumberdaya di wilayah pesisir sebagai mata pencaharian, terutama sebagai pembudidaya lobster, nelayan, maupun penggerak wisata alam pesisir. Desa ini memiliki potensi budidaya komoditas perikanan cukup tinggi, salah satu diantaranya adalah rumput laut, yang merupakan produk bernilai ekonomis sebagai bahan baku industri farmasi-kosmetik yang sangat dibutuhkan di pasar global. Namun demikian, hingga saat ini, masyarakat Bawean masih memandang sebelah mata akan komoditas rumput laut ini. Masyarakat masih belum tahu manfaat hingga tata cara pembudidayaan rumput laut. Mereka masih mengambil langsung ke perairan dalam jumlah yang besar dengan harga murah. Jika hal ini dilakukan terus menerus dapat menyebabkan kelangkaan stok. Padahal, telah ditemukan berbagai cara pembudidayaan rumput laut untuk meningkatkan potensi komoditi tersebut sehingga menjadi komoditas penting untuk menopang tingkat perekonomian masyarakat. Hal ini didukung dengan pertimbangan kondisi perairan yang baik, teknologi budidaya yang mudah, waktu pemeliharaan relatif singkat, pasar global yang cukup tersedia, serta tawaran harga yang kompetitif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu FGD (Fokus grub diskusi) meningkatkan produksi dengan sistem lepas dasar, pengolahan pascapanen dan pemasaran hasil panen rumput laut bernilai jual tinggi.

Abstract

Demplot pendederan udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) pada Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat program studi budidaya perikanan bertujuan untuk deseminasi teknologi. Melalui program tersebut diharapkan mampu meningkatkan angka kehidupan udang vaname (SR) yang dipelihara pada tambak tradisional. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Wadak Kecamatan Duduk Kabupaten Gresik. Menurunnnya daya dukung lahan serta keseimbangan linkungan, mengakibatkan nilai angka kehidupan benih udang yang ditebar nilainya sangat rendah. Beberapa upaya telah dilakukan seperti penambahan input benih yang lebih banyak dari biasanya, akan tetapi hasil hasil panen udang tidak mengalami peningkatan, justru sebaliknya semakin meningkatkan biaya operasional produksi, akibatnya keuntungan yang didapatkan semakin sedikit. Teknologi bioflok merupakan teknologi yang dikembangkan dengan memadukan penanganan buangan limbah hasil budidaya dan mereduksi jumlah penggunaan air. Secara umum teknik ini memiliki kelebihan seperti biaya operasional yang lebih kecil dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil demplot yang dilaksankan selama 4 minggu pada mitra bintang muda didapatkan bahwa benih udang vaname tingkat Survival rate (SR) sebesar 70 %. Tingginya nilai tersebut diduga karena kesiapan pakan alami yang tersedia secara optimal. Diperkirakan panen udang lebih cepat dari biasanya. Biasanya udang vaname dapat panen pada umur 3- 4 bulan, namun dengan menggunakan teknik bioflok pada kolam terpal yang pada proses penggelondongan dilakukan selama 1 bulan, udang vaname dapat dipanen Pada umur 1.5 – 2.5 bulan.

Abstract

Masalah stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang berhubungan dengan meningkatnya risiko kesakitan, kematian dan hambatan pada pertumbuhan baik motorik maupun mental. Dampak dari stunting yaitu penurunan kecerdasan, kerentanan terhadap penyakit, menghambat pertumbuhan ekonomi dan produktifitas kerja serta dapat memperburuk kesenjangan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah membantu menyukseskan program pemerintah dalam menurunkan angka stunting di kelurahan Pekauman, Kecamatan Gresik. dan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam berinovasi pembuatan makanan untuk menambah asupan gizi. Hasil pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif, yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan inovasi masyarakat tentang pencegahan stunting dengan memanfaatkan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA).

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari program kerja mahasiswa KKN dengan tujuan utama untuk meningkatkan Brand Awareness produk UMKM "Alena Opak" melalui platform E-Commerce Shopee. Dalam upaya meningkatkan penjualan dan jangkauan pasar, metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi intensif kepada pemilik Alena Opak. Penelitian ini menguraikan langkah-langkah strategis yang dilakukan, seperti pengoptimalan penampilan produk di Shopee, penerapan teknik pemasaran online, dan analisis data performa penjualan. Melalui penelitian ini, didapatkan hasil yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam brand awareness Alena Opak di Shopee. Dengan menerapkan strategi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik pasar online, produk Alena Opak mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih besar dari konsumen, sehingga menghasilkan peningkatan penjualan yang signifikan. Kesimpulannya, sosialisasi produk UMKM melalui platform E-Commerce seperti Shopee dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan brand awareness dan jangkauan pasar.

Abstract

The rise of the world of ornamental fish in Indonesia has become a business opportunity for various groups. One of them is the ornamental snakehead fish or Channa pulchra. This fish comes from Myanmar and was imported to Indonesia to meet the needs of the ornamental fish market. One of the factors that influence the success of a fish farming business is the FCR and SR values. The lower the FCR value and the higher the SR value, the better the sustainability of the cultivation business. To maintain FCR and SR values, a good quality feed supply is needed. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of supplementing pelleted feed in the form of Spirulina flour and butterfly pea flower flour (Clitoria ternatea), which contain nutrients to support growth and immunity so that they can improve FCR and SR values. The methods used in this research are quantitative and experimental methods. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 12 containers filled with 1 fish/container. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test which was carried out with Duncan's advanced test. Observation parameters include FCR value, SR value and water quality. The results obtained showed that there was an effect of providing different additional feeds on the FCR value with the best treatment being treatment A with a value of 3.6 ± 0.61. Treatment B has a value of 5.35 ± 0.21 and treatment K has a value of 4.05 ± 0.53. Meanwhile, the SR value does not show any influence from providing additional feed which is different from the value of 100% for each treatment parameter. Water quality results include a salinity value of 0 ppt, DO 7.16 ± 0.68 mg/l and temperature 29.62 ± 0.82 °C. The water quality value is still considered safe for cultivation unless the temperature is too high which is thought to influence fluctuations in the FCR value.
