Abstract

Limited land in the centre of the city will encourage people to choose residing in the suburb area as alternative, which of course also effect transformation in those areas. Spatial transformation that occured in peri-urban area will change the pattern of space utilization existed in that region. The population growth rate of Malang city is approximately 0,86% larger than that in East Java (0,75%). The increasing number of population growth in Malang occured unevenly in all parts of the city. The purpose of this research is to review the spatial transformation occuring in peri-urban area of Malang city by firstly analyzing the location of peri-urban based on its land usage. The analysis is conducted with geographic information system ArcGis 9.3, which is benefited to analyze map overlay dan kernel density analyze. Based on the result of analysis, it is discovered that there is a difference of spatial transformation between the north and south region of peri-urban areas in Malang city. Kedung Kandang district, which is located in the south region, experienced a low transformation with a linier trend of developing land pattern. Meanwhile, Lowokwaru district is experiencing high transformation with a concentric trend of developing land pattern. This difference occured due to several factors, which are population factor like high growth population, center of activity, accessibility, the role of developer, and policy factor related with direction of spatial region patter. The trend of distribution pattern in population density and developed land aimed on the northern part of the city indicated the direction of the city development trend.

Abstract

Mohammad Natsir is one of Indonesia's leading Islamic figures of the century. His figure is not only known by the people of Indonesia, but also by the world community, especially the Islamic world. Throughout his life, Natsir actively involved in various movements, whether they are social, political, scientific, and religious.Aside from being a powerful activist, Natsir also a respected intellectual figure. Through interaction with Ahmad Hassan, Agus Salim, and other figures, Natsir have started engaging intellectual debate since adolescence. Natsir wrote many articles in the fields of political, social, religious, and philosophical. He also became one of the principal framers of the relationship between religion and the state in Indonesia. Unlike the secular Muslims, Natsir continue to believe that Islam could be the basis of the state. Meanwhile, different from the Muslim protagonist, Natsir also believe that Islam does not have a particular political system preferences. Islam only provide general principles to be applied in a particular political system that is tailored to the situation and his time. Thus, Islam and Pancasila still can go hand in hand, because of the unity between Islam and Pancasila occurs at the level of ideas.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v2i1.844

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the reasons behind the U.S. withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in 2017. Using descriptive methods and Two-level Game theory as an analytical tool supported by secondary data, we found some domestic factors driving this policy. First, different preferences existed between the government as the “chief negotiator” and interest groups and public opinion representing domestic interests. Two-level game theory explains that international agreement can only be ratified if the win-set negotiations are in overlapping conditions or where international and domestic preferences find a meeting point. However, no common ground between international and domestic preferences resulted in a deadlock. Second, the U.S. public strongly resisted the agreement. Public opinion and hearings are factors that, to some extent, can become obstacles for national governments in international negotiations. Ratification is not only carried out through a formal process (legislative approval) but also through an informal process (public opinion and approval). In addition, the election of Donald Trump, who carried protectionist values with his “America First” slogan, strengthened the position of the opposing groups and those who embraced protectionist values. Therefore, the election of Trump as the president marked the end of the TPP debate because both the executive as the “chief negotiator” and the dominant domestic group rejected the ratification. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the management of zakat in Bantaeng Regency is implemented by the local government, as well as how the zakat funds can be used productively in supporting the development of micro businesses for mustahik. Optimal zakat management is not only consumptive, but must also be directed at the aspect of economic empowerment so that mustahik can transform into muzakki in the future. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. Data was obtained through field observation techniques, in-depth interviews with related parties, and documentation of the implementation of zakat policies in the region. The results of the study show that the implementation of Bantaeng Regency Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2005 concerning Zakat Management has gone through several main stages, namely: zakat collection, distribution, utilization, reporting, and accountability. The local government through the amil zakat institution has made various efforts to improve the effectiveness of management, including building synergy between Baznas, village governments, and community leaders. One of the prominent forms of zakat utilization is the provision of business capital assistance to mustahik engaged in the micro business sector, such as mobile traders or cart owners around mosques, with a sustainable and community-based approach. The novelty of this research lies in its approach which highlights the function of zakat as an instrument of local economic empowerment based on regional regulations. This shows how zakat is not only a means of charity, but also a strategic tool in alleviating poverty and strengthening the economy of the people at the regional level. These findings make an important contribution to the development of empowerment-based zakat management models in other regions with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Study of power flow analysis to obtain information about the flow of power or voltage in an electric power system. As time goes by and the number of tourists on Pandang Island, especially in the development and change sector, will also increase, the amount of burden incurred will also increase, so that a good initial design is no longer suitable for the current load. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the power flow in order to determine the condition of the electric power system. The benefits of this research are also for planning evaluation if there will be additional burden innovations. In this study, ETAP Power Station 19.0 software was used using Newton Raphson for power flow simulation. The results obtained in the Etap simulation are 37% generating load with a total active power of 10.35 KW, reactive power of 6.85 Kvar, and apparent power of 12.42 KVA. This research also increases the load by 4,800 watts, where the photovoltaic generator must increase the photovoltaic capacity from the previous 10.26 kw to 13.29 kw, therefore solar cell panels will be added as many as 8 panels.
