Abstract

Student motivation in elementary school is crucial because it lays the foundation for success in subsequent levels of education. Children who lack sufficient motivation often face challenges in the learning process, such as lack of active participation in class and a decline in their academic performance. Strong motivation is crucial to help children stay focused and enthusiastic in pursuing their educational goals. This study aims to determine the rolr of parents in increasing student learning motivation. Based on theory, parents have an important rolr in shaping student learning motivasion through emotional suppor, supervision and motivation in the form of attention, guidance, learning facilities at home, and involvementin school activities. This study uses a qualitative researchmethod. The results show that the role of parents in increasing student learning motivation in elementary school includes learning support at home, supervision of schoolwork, and motivation to srchieve academic archievement. This study concludes that the role of parents is very important in increasing student learning motivation in elementary school and helping them achieve academic success. Therefore, parents should be given adequate information and support to be able to play and active role playand active role in increasing their children’s learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketika guru PAI meminta siswa tampil dan berpendapat, mereka tampak ragu dan mengatakan bahwa dia tidak bisa, padahal belum dicoba. Oleh karena itu, peran guru PAI sangat penting dalam membimbing siswa mengenali diri mereka sendiri untuk mencari, menemukan potensi diri, dan memiliki pandangan yang positif terhadap dirinya. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui strategi guru PAI dalam menumbuhkan Self-esteem siswa di SMPN 2 Lubuk Basung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yakni penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru PAI dalam menumbuhkan Self-esteem siswa sesuai data yang diperoleh dilapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru PAI dan siswa kelas VII dan VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah trianggulasi data. Data yang terkumpul dianalisa dengan analisis interaktif melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beberapa temuan dari strategi guru PAI dalam menumbuhkan Self-esteem siswa di SMPN 2 Lubuk Basung, melalui beberapa strategi diantaranya: (1) Memberikan Penghargaan dan Komentar Positif, (2) Bekerja Sama Dengan Wali Kelas, (3) Menyisipkan Nilai-Nilai Agama Islam, (4) Mendorong Siswa Untuk Mengikuti Kegiatan Keagaaman, dan (5) Menciptakan Lingkungan Kelas Yang Mendukung. Ada beberapa faktor pendukung diantaranya adanya : (1) Modul pembelajaran PAI dan (2) Kegiatan kultum dan tahfiz. Namun ada beberapa faktor penghambat guru PAI dalam melakukan strategi diantaranya : (1) Lingkungan Keluarga, (2) Teman Sebaya, dan (3) Kurangnya Waktu Guru PAI.

Abstract

This research was structured with the aim of improving student learning outcomes by using the Kahoot quiz media for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Ampek Angkek, Tanah Nyariang, Batu Taba for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), in which the researcher is the implementer of the lesson while the teacher is the observer. The subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Ampek Angkek consisting of 32 students. The object in this research is student learning outcomes. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, first; the learning outcomes of students' Islamic religious education subjects before utilizing the Kahoot quiz media in class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Ampek Angkek were low, out of 32 students only 46.87% or 15 students whose grades were above the minimum completeness criteria, while 53.12% or 17 other students scored below the minimum completeness criteria with an average of 62.5. Second, after using the Kahoot quiz media, student learning outcomes have increased in each cycle. In cycle I, the learning outcomes of students' Islamic religious education after using the Kahoot quiz media increased from pre-cycle with a completeness of 78.12%. Whereas in cycle II, the percentage of completeness was 100%. The use of the Kahoot quiz media can improve the learning outcomes of Islamic religious education subjects for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Ampek Angkek each cycle by 26.57%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kurangnya karakter disiplin santri di Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyah Islamiyah At-Taqwa Canduang, seperti sikap tidak bertanggung jawab, kasus pencurian, dan perilaku mengejek antar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas keterlibatan santri dalam Organisasi Santri Warasatul Ambiya` (OSWA) terhadap pembentukan karakter religius. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan populasi 63 santri, yang diambil sebagai sampel penuh (sampling jenuh). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melibatkan uji normalitas, linearitas, hipotesis, uji t, dan determinasi menggunakan SPSS 22. Hasil uji t menunjukkan Thitung 2,932 > Ttabel 1,671 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulannya, keterlibatan dalam OSWA efektif dalam pembentukan karakter religius santri.

Abstract

The problem identified in this study is the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education, specifically in the subject of prayer and its implementation. One of the causes is the lack of variety in the teaching strategies used by teachers, which results in students becoming less enthusiastic, bored, and unmotivated to actively participate in learning, leading to low learning outcomes. Therefore, there is a need for new innovations in the form of applying the latest learning strategies to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning and contribute to the development of Islamic Religious Education teachers' competence in formulating learning strategies and models in the application of learning media. This study used a quantitative experimental method in the form of a one-group pre-test-post-test only, which compares the test results before treatment (pre-test) with the test results after treatment (post-test). The population of this study was all students in elementary school, totaling 84 students, and the sample was grade VI, consisting of one class with 17 students. The data collection method in this study was in the form of pre-test and post-test results conducted in the experimental class. Furthermore, data analysis used normality tests and paired sample t-tests with the help of IBM statistics. Research results Based on the results of the research and discussion in elementary schools, there was an increase in the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education in Character Building after applying a combination of cooperative learning strategies, namely the student team achievement division type and the discovery learning type
