Abstract

This research, titled "Analysis of Diseases in Hydroponic Lettuce Plants Using the Forward Chaining Method," focuses on the process of identifying diseases in hydroponic lettuce plants through an expert system. Hydroponic lettuce plants can be affected by various diseases such as soft root, root rot, yellowing leaves, and others. Therefore, there is a need to facilitate farmers and laypeople in detecting diseases in hydroponic lettuce plants and easily identifying them by simply answering diagnostic questions about the disease symptoms. This research develops the results of the disease analysis in hydroponic lettuce plants using the Forward Chaining method through an expert system. The Forward Chaining method is used due to its high effectiveness and accuracy in identifying diseases through IF-THEN Rule s by finding facts from the established Rule s. The data presented includes disease data and symptom data obtained from hydroponic lettuce cultivation on Jalan Muang RT 47 Lempake. This research involves data collection, data analysis, and BlackBox testing. The development of the website for analyzing diseases in hydroponic lettuce plants using the Forward Chaining method employs PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL programming languages. The results of this research are satisfactory because the Forward Chaining method can accurately detect diseases, and the website runs smoothly and also got an accuracy of 79,16% on the calculation system using the website.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of a Brute Force algorithm optimized with Bubble Sort for new student admission selection. The Brute Force algorithm, while guaranteeing accurate results, suffers from exponential time complexity with increasing data size, posing a challenge for large applicant pools. To address this limitation, this research integrates Bubble Sort optimization to reduce the execution time complexity of the Brute Force algorithm. This study goes beyond solving the student admission selection problem; it explores optimizing the Brute Force algorithm by leveraging the simplicity and efficiency of Bubble Sort. This approach aims to determine the extent to which the Brute Force algorithm can be optimized for student selection, particularly regarding execution time complexity. The integration of Bubble Sort is hypothesized to significantly improve the performance of the Brute Force algorithm by reordering data before processing, thereby minimizing unnecessary comparisons. This paper presents a comparative analysis of execution times between the traditional Brute Force approach and the optimized version. Preliminary results indicate a substantial improvement in efficiency, suggesting that this hybrid approach could be a valuable solution for similar combinatorial problems with time complexity constraints. Further research could explore the applicability of this optimized algorithm in other domains where time complexity is a critical factor.

Abstract

Employees are a supporting factor in a company or agency, because with employeeswho have company qualification standards, the company's productivity will be maintained and will increase. The AHP and SAW methods can be used to determine the best employees. There are 3 criteria and 16 alternatives that are given a value based on the scale of importance and weight for each criterion that has been determined by the Samarinda City Samsat Main Office which will be processed to find a sensitivity value using two methods, namely AHP and SAW. By carrying out the calculation process as much as 6 times the weight addition experiment where each weight is added to the value of 0.5 and 1 which is applied to the two AHP and SAW methods produces the sensitivity values of the two methods and uses two experiments with the first formula (XA – XB) and ( XA + XB ) then the sensitivity value obtained from the first trial of the AHP method is - 2.592705356 and the sensitivity value of the SAW method is -4.522690058. The second experiment added the value (XA + XB) so that the results of the sensitivity values of the two methods were obtained, namely AHP 5.952672848 and SAW method 8.358567251. From the calculations of these two methods, the SAW method was chosen which is more sensitive, so the best employee with the highes score at the Samsat Main Office, Samarinda City, was A1, namely the Selvi Salamah alternative, with a priority value of0.944444444.

Abstract

The Population and Civil Regrestration Center, know in Indonesia as the Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil (Dukcapil), is a government agency responsible for managing and recording population data in specific regions. Dukcapil is responsible for recording births, deaths, marriages, divorces, and documenting identities through the Electronic Resident Identity Card (E-KTP). Dukcapil faces the need to address delays in document issuance, which will be the focus of this research. The data were collected directly when researchers conducted Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) at Dukcapil. This study utilizes the linear regression method to estimate the time required for printing E-KTP cards that will be produced and calculates the Mean Absolute Error (MAE). Thorough MAE calculations using the linear regression method, researchers obtained a result of 10.2923 from the available data.

Abstract

Hydroponic agriculture is a soilless plant cultivation method that is becoming increasingly popular in the modern era. However, hydroponic systems require strict monitoring of environmental parameters, especially temperature and pH, to ensure optimal plant growth. This research aims to design and build a temperature and pH monitoring system for hydroponic plants based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a NodeMCU ESP-8266 microcontroller. The developed system consists of a DS18B20 temperature sensor, a pH sensor, a NodeMCU ESP-8266 microcontroller, and the ThingSpeak IoT platform. These sensors are used to measure the temperature and pH of the hydroponic nutrient solution in real-time. The collected data is then sent to the ThingSpeak platform via the WiFi connection integrated into the NodeMCU ESP-8266. The implementation of this system is expected to assist hydroponic farmers in efficiently monitoring and controlling their plants' environmental conditions, thereby increasing productivity and harvest quality. Further research can be conducted to integrate more parameters and develop automatic control systems based on the collected data.

Abstract

The development of a donation box system based on ESP32 and TCS3200 sensor aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of donation management previously conducted manually. This system is designed to detect and classify banknote denominations, display donation status on an OLED LCD, and send notifications through a Telegram bot. Testing of the TCS3200 sensor revealed that the RGB value ranges for Indonesian Rupiah banknotes from Rp 1,000 to Rp 100,000 vary, with minimum and maximum values for each color component. For example, Rp 1,000 banknotes have a blue color range of 6-9, green 7-9, and red 7-9. The sensor can detect banknote denominations accurately despite some instability in readings influenced by lighting conditions and color interference. The OLED LCD successfully displays messages corresponding to system conditions, and notifications via the Telegram bot are received properly under stable network conditions. This system functions effectively, facilitating monitoring and enhancing transparency in donation management.
