Abstract

Multiyear construction project is one of the riskiest project due to uncertainty and dynamic economic condition. In multi-years project, cost escalation is inevitable because during construction period various risk factors such as increasing of labor cost, materials cost, energy cost, and equipment cost will affect the costs of the projects. This paper proposes a model to estimate cost escalation based on System Dynamic (SD) approach. SD is used to represent correlation among risk factors influencing cost escalation and to calculate cost escalation during project period. Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) was made based on in-depth literature review and confirmed by the experts. To validate the model, 7 multi-years projects in Indonesia were used as case study. The result showed that the proposed model can accurately predict project cost escalation with an accuracy of 91.21%. Simulation of SD also showed that the change of scope of work, ambiguous contract condition, unpredictable conditions, project schedule delay, inflation, and extreme weather condition are the most influencing factor of cost escalation. Besides predicting cost escalation of project, this model can also be used as early warning system in multi-year projects environment.

Abstract

The number of internet users worldwide has increased from year to year. Especially in Indonesia, in 2017 internet users have reached 143.26 million people or around 54.68% of the total population in Indonesia and on average use it every day. The growth of internet use in Indonesia was used by business people to run their business by selling where social media is the most used place to sell (64.9%). However, there are still many consumers who are reluctant to make the intention to purchases, this is caused by many factors including the level of consumer confidence, consumer risk perceptions, and others. In this study, the factors that influence consumer behavior will be analyzed about intention purchasing decisions on social media using the developed Theory of Planned Behavior. The case study used is the XYZ store that sells shoes, accessories, and goods on social media. Partial Least Square Method of Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used to analyze the research, where the results of this study are to get the conclusions of significant factors that influence consumer intention to purchases product on social media and recommendations for improvements to XYZ stores to improve sales and get more consumers.

Abstract

Businesses of any scale today cannot be separated from Information Systems and Technology, whether large or small scale requires a reliable information system to support appropriate, effective and efficient decision making for stakeholders. The information system that is currently trending in the business world is an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) based on cloud computing (Cloud) which can help users run a business anywhere and anytime. In a report released by Delloite entitled: Hot Topics for IT Internal Audit In Financial Services reveals that the current hot issues are Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Privacy, IT Governance and IT Risk. PT Petrokopindo is a company that has implemented cloud-based ERP. However, the potential for risks such as Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Privacy from Cloud ERP can occur, which can disrupt the company's business operations. In this research, case studies will be carried out on companies that have implemented Cloud-ERP. The method used is the COBIT 5 Framework, which was chosen as the best and more complete guideline than other frameworks in the IT / IS management field (Sutikno, 2014). The expected result is to be able to identify security gaps and material weaknesses of the Cloud- ERP information system and then provide recommendations for improvements so that IS / IT becomes more reliable. It is hoped that this research can be useful for the development of IS / IT governance science, and as input for stakeholders on the Cloud-ERP platform in increasing the reliability of an IS / IT against the risk of information leakage and cyber attacks.

Abstract

Food security is a high-priority issue for sustainable global agricultural development both quantitatively and qualitatively. Maize is one of the most important food crops in the world after rice and wheat. The biggest contribution of maize production in Indonesia comes from East Java Province, which is 25,60%. Maize production is changing due to increased consumer demand, increased input costs, concerns about food security, and environmental impacts. Climate conditions of marginal land areas (drought) and the use of chemical fertilizers continuously have negative impacts on the amount of production, food security, and soil quality (environment). This situation is dangerous because it will affect the income from farming. Based on these problems, in this study, a system dynamics prospective study will be conducted to develop a conceptual model (Causal Loop Diagram) to increase eco-friendly maize production to support food security. The results of the study are conceptual models that have some important information regarding internal and external factors that affect the productivity and production of eco-friendly maize. The conceptual model produced can be used by the government and stakeholders for decision-making in developing strategies and policies related to eco-friendly maize cultivation systems to support food security. Further research can be done by developing several scenarios to predict the state of the maize farming system in the future.

Abstract

XYZ Mart is a convenience store in Tulungagung regency. Founded in 2012, this store is designed to serve the daily needs of surrounding residents. In addition, this store also caters for the needs of families visiting patients at the hospital in front of XYZ Mart. Along with the store growth, there are more and more customers, and so the more demand. To handle the increasing demand, the store has to increase its inventory of goods. Problems arise when the number of goods keep increasing while the store inventory space does not. Therefore, in order to avoid overstocking or understocking, a research and planning are conducted to determine the optimal number of an order. The method used for inventory optimization is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) to calculate the most optimal number of goods ordered. To anticipate the uncertainty of demand, Safety Stock (SS) is also used. To determine the average demand per year based on historical data, as a basis for EOQ and SS calculations, a Monte Carlo simulation is used. The expected outcome of this research is to provide recommendations of when and how much goods must be ordered so that the store can optimally use its limited space of inventory.

Abstract

Diversification is an effort to diversify various energy sources through reducing the use of fossil energy sources and substituting them with other energy sources including RE in order to optimize energy supply. Meanwhile, energy conservation is a systematic, planned and integrated effort to conserve existing energy resources and increase the efficiency of their use. Energy has a very significant role in human life in all sectors. Where energy demand in the commercial sector such as offices and services is still largely dominated by electricity around 60% -70%. Where the management is still largely managed by the State Electricity Company (PLN). The electricity consumption of the ITS Surabaya campus in 2019 around 9,586,857.72 kWh / year is still supported by PLN with a total expenditure of more than 9 billion. Considering the Indonesian government's program on the Target of Diversification of RUEN at least 23% in 2025 and 31% in 2050 and one of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally namely clean and affordable energy, the ITS Surabaya management effort is to achieve diversification of energy sources 50% renewable as stated in the 2015-2020 RENSTRA Target. The effort to diversify this renewable energy is by building a 16 KWP On Grid Solar Power Plant in the Research Center Building, which has produced around 26,290.92 kWh / year during the 2019 period.

Abstract

The research focuses on beef commodity where beef demands data continue increasing proportionate or in line with increasing population, national per capita income, and the needs of industrial foods process materials. On the other hand, domestic beef supply tends to decrease so it can’t meet domestic demand. Furthermore, there are problems with fulfilling supplies to the end customer. The effort in solving the problems by improving the supply chain process using a model-driven decision support system, to model the existing system and build new scenarios to increase beef supply chain performance. The model-driven decision support system approaches using a system dynamics model to accommodate key variables or parameters that significantly contribute to the continuity strategic beef supply chain. The results showed a policy scenario with success indicators in the form of optimizing average beef weight values to 300 kgs per cattle and with carcass percentage value at 55% life weight, projecting deficit beef values decreasing in each year. At 2027 deficit value becoming small which is 8,520 tons, which ends up becoming surplus in 2028. The results of the model-driven decision support system output scenario can be functioned as input to the decision-maker to elaborate policy process related to the beef's food sector to achieve food self-sufficiency which one of the government missions.

Abstract

E-Invoice considered as one of the most implemented financial information systems these recent years. E-Invoice had grown from a system that brings convenience, into a part of the strategy to fulfill corporate expectation. However, it’s uncertain whether E-Invoice implementation indeed successfully brings proven benefits into the company business. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify the indicators that affect the success of E-Invoice implementation in a particular state-owned company, based upon DeLone & McLean IS Success Model. In terms of evaluation, previous research regarding E-Invoice mostly discussed about the key factors that influence the adoption of E-Invoice. Lesser literatures purposed at studying the success of the implementation, related to the system performance. According to DeLone & McLean IS Success Model, there are six variables used as basic measurement, namely information quality, system quality, service quality, user satisfaction, intention to use, and net benefits. Following that, a set of structured questionnaire arranged and distributed to 34 users of an E-Invoice system provided by a state-owned enterprise headquartered in Rembang, Indonesia, including vendors and employees. The data then will be processed using Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The result showed that Information Quality and System Quality gave significant impact to User Satisfaction and User Satisfaction gave significant impact to Net Benefits. Meanwhile, Service Quality is not proven empirically to gave significant impact to both User Satisfaction and Intention to Use.
