Abstract

Purpose: Despite advancements in digital infrastructure, the adoption of digital zakat platforms among Indonesian muzakki remains uneven. This study aims to investigate the determinants influencing muzakki’s intention and behavior in adopting digital zakat payment platforms by extending the UTAUT model through the integration of electronic trust (e-trust) and personal innovativeness in technology (PIT), offering a context-specific perspective within Islamic philanthropy.Design/methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach. An online questionnaire was distributed using purposive sampling to Indonesian Muslims with experience or awareness of digital zakat platforms. A total of 338 muzakki were collected from 32 Indonesian provinces. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed model and hypotheses.Findings: The findings indicate that performance expectancy and social influence have a significant and positive impact on the intention to pay zakat digitally. Furthermore, intention significantly predicts actual usage behaviour, with this relationship being positively moderated by personal innovativeness in technology. However, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions and e-trust are found to have no significant effect on intention.Practical Implication: The study offers practical insights for zakat institutions (e.g. BAZNAS and LAZNAS), platform developers and policymakers. Promoting digital literacy, engaging religious leaders ansocial influencers and designing inclusive, user-friendly platforms are essential to enhance participation. Cultivating individual openness to technology is also critical for sustaining digital zakat behaviour. Although e-trust was not found to significantly influence intention, maintaining platform transparency, credibility and reliability remains crucial for fostering long-term user confidence and acceptance.Originality/Value: This study contributes to Islamic marketing and digital philanthropy literature by extending the UTAUT model by incorporating e-trust and PIT in the context of digital zakat. he findings provide a novel perspective on technology acceptance in faith-based financial ecosystems, particularly in Muslim-majority countries undergoing rapid digital transformation

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought about changes in recent times, one of which impacts economic conditions. This study aims to investigate government policies through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) with a macroeconomic approach to the condition of economic resilience. Macroeconomic indicators use interest rates (IR), inflation, IHSG, money supply (MS), and tax revenues to see the effect on economic resilience, which consists of economic growth (GDP), unemployment, and poverty. The data used is a time series with an observation period from January 2017 to June 2021. The analytical method used is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results show that the policy package through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) effectively overcame the economic downturn during the pandemic, although it is not yet fully optimal. At least policies based on fiscal and monetary can bring Indonesia's economic growth in a positive direction. So that in the long term, unemployment and poverty due to a decrease in people's purchasing power can be overcome.

Abstract

IntroductionThe transmigration phenomenon has created new communities in various regions of Indonesia, including the transmigrant Muslim farming community from Central Java in South Sumatra. Facing the social and economic challenges of their new location, these farmers not only utilize their agricultural skills but also develop unique social relationships, such as reciprocity. As Muslims, Islamic values play a crucial role in the lives of farmers, including how they conduct their economic activities. The Maqasid sharia (objectives of sharia) , which encompass the protection of religion ( din ), life ( nafs ), intellect ( aql ), descendants ( nasl ), and property ( mal ), serve as the moral foundation for agricultural activities and social life.ObjectivesThis study aims to examine how transmigrant Muslim farmers from Central Java apply the practice of reciprocity and the values of maqasid sharia in their daily lives, particularly in agriculture.MethodThis study uses a qualitative approach with a reciprocity approach and the values of maqasid sharia . Data collection was conducted through six months of fieldwork using participant observation and in-depth interviews . Interview ). Data analysis used three analysis models: domain analysis, componential analysis, and data analysis with triangulation. This is used to obtain the correct interpretation. Truth is the foundation that a researcher needs to understand.ResultsThe research results show that the practice of reciprocity is an important part of the social and economic life of transmigrant Muslim farmers from Central Java. Some of the most common forms of reciprocity include mutual assistance during planting and harvesting, sharing agricultural produce, and exchanging tools and labor. These methods not only enhance social solidarity but also serve as collective economic strategies to overcome limitations in capital and access to resources. Furthermore, farmers' economic actions and decisions have been indirectly influenced by the principles of maqasid sharia . Thrift, honesty in trade, and fair management of agricultural produce are examples of the value of safeguarding wealth ( hifz). al -mal). The focus on children's education and family welfare shows the principle of protecting the soul and offspring.ImplicationsThe maqasid sharia and reciprocity values helped empower transmigrant Muslim farmers from Java, whose implementation of reciprocity and maqasid sharia values led to improved agricultural economics. While reciprocity creates social solidarity that helps farmers, maqasid sharia ensures economic justice by providing fair distribution of profits and avoiding usury (riba).Originality/NoveltyThis study contributes to the growing literature on Islamic business practices by highlighting the strategies and ethical considerations unique to the Muslim fashion industry. It offers insights into how businesses can balance innovation and tradition to foster sustainable growth.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the positive impact of training and incident management on service recovery performance and the negative impact of organizational dehumanization on service recovery performance. The results showed that training and incident management have a positive effect on service recovery performance. However, the moderation of organizational dehumanization does not have a significant effect on reducing service recovery performance but instead strengthens it. This research provides more understanding that the implementation of banking operations, including Islamic banking, must be carried out with strict regulations, including the affirmation of provisions that can be interpreted as a pattern of organizational dehumanization. However, to strengthen and accelerate the post-incident service recovery process, it must be supported by continuous and quality training.

The results define that university support has a positive effect on entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial mindset. Entrepreneurship education also has a positive effect on the entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, entrepreneurial mindsets mediate the relationship between university support and entrepreneurial mindsets. The implication of this finding is to enhance the students’ entrepreneurial mindset, PTKIN must provide support for an entrepreneurship education program for students.
