Abstract

Studi empiris ini secara spesifik didasarkan pada inisiatif e-government di Indonesia, terutama dalam proses pelayanan e-KTP bagi masyarakat. Pelayanan e-KTP mewakili bagian penting dari peningkatan dan pengembangan praktik e-government di Indonesia, yang berusaha memodernisasi administrasi publik dan membuat penyediaan layanan publik lebih efisien, mudah diakses, dan responsif terhadap warga negara. Unit analisis pada penelitian ini adalah masyarakat pengguna layanan e-KTP pada Kecamatan Bogor Barat. Dengan teknik sampling non-acak, sebanyak 87 masyarakat pengguna layanan e-KTP berpartisipasi sebagai responden, dengan kurun waktu penelitian satu bulan, yakni pada bulan November 2021. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmatori untuk mendapatkan nilai koefisien bobot faktor. Hasil temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dari keseluruhan lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan, diketahui hanya tiga dimensi yakni kemudahan penggunaan, keajegan, serta kepercayaan yang ditemukan bermakna penting dalam mencerminkan kualitas layanan e-KTP. Sementara dua dimensi lain yakni interaktivitas serta nilai kegunaan ditemukan tidak bermakna penting dalam merefleksikan kualitas pelayanan e-KTP di Kecamatan Bogor Barat. Implikasi penelitian merujuk pada bagaimana prospek keberhasilan pemerintah sebagai aktor dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan akan bergantung pada apa yang mungkin dapat digambarkan sebagai praktik terbaik. Meskipun dalam beberapa wilayah di suatu Kota tertentu memiliki sistem e-government yang serupa, namun manfaat yang diperoleh dari setiap sistem yang diterapkan pada masing-masing wilayah tersebut tidak selalu sama. Keberhasilan e-government tidak dapat sepenuhnya terkonfirmasi dengan baik dalam lintas daerah maupun batas, oleh karena itu organisasi sektor publik perlu mempertimbangkan dampak sosial dari kualitas e-government terutama pada bagaimana warga berinteraksi dengan pejabat yang berwenang dan struktur birokrasi pemerintah.

Abstract

Educational institutions, such as Islamic high schools, face challenges in managing teacher performance, particularly in promoting proactive behavior. This study explores the impact of an ethical work climate characterized by principles of caring, instrumental independence, service, rules, and codes, as well as perceived organizational support (POS), on teachers' proactive behavior in Islamic senior high schools. The study includes a one-month convenience sampling period, with 104 teachers from Medan, North Sumatra, participating as respondents. Primary data was collected through the respondents' perceptions and analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings highlight that an ethical work climate has a greater influence on teachers' proactive behavior than POS. While perceived organizational support remains important, Islamic schools' unique cultural and religious context may elevate the significance of an ethical work climate. Teachers may perceive ethical guidelines and values as integral to their role and mission within the Islamic educational setting, leading to a more profound impact on their proactive engagement than the general perception of organizational support. The study concludes that the ethical work climate in Islamic senior high schools influences teachers' proactive behavior. It emphasizes the importance of fostering and maintaining an ethical work environment to support teachers professionally.

Abstract

Gagasan mengenai perilaku inovatif di tempat kerja mendorong para supervisor dan pimpinan organisasi publik untuk memberikan perhatian terhadap hal tersebut. Perilaku inovatif merupakan salah satu perilaku positif seseorang dalam pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dimensi perilaku inovatif pegawai yang bekerja pada organisasi publik di Kabupaten Badung. Model perilaku kerja inovatif Dorenbosch yang diadaptasi dalam penelitian ini diujicobakan pada pegawai negeri sipil yang bekerja di Kantor Pemerintahan di Kabupaten Badung. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan convenience sampling dalam kurun waktu dua bulan (Februari – Maret 2023) dan karyawan yang berpartisipasi menjadi responden dalam penelitian. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan alat statistik, dan teknik analisis faktor konfirmatori dua tahap digunakan untuk mengungkap nilai bobot faktor indikator pada dimensi, serta masing-masing dimensi pada variabel perilaku kerja inovatif. Perilaku inovatif dapat dicerminkan oleh (1) penggunaan teknologi komputer, (2) penggunaan sumber daya keuangan yang tersedia, (3) implementasi gagasan, serta (4) penciptaan ide. Tampak bahwa hal inovatif berkaitan erat dengan hal teknologi, dan hasil penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi hal tersebut pada pegawai negeri sipil di Kabupaten Badung.

Abstract

Purpose — The study seeks to identify the factors that have the greatest impact on attitudes towards Islamic banks, including awareness and knowledge of Islamic banking, adherence to Sharia principles, and collectivist or individualist attributes.Method — This study utilized quantitative methods, and the research instruments were carefully designed to measure the latent variables under investigation. The sample included 100 students from private Islamic universities in Malang City, East Java, Indonesia. Data analysis involved confirmatory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis.Result — This research highlights the crucial role of awareness and knowledge in fostering positive attitudes towards Islamic banks. Interestingly, compliance with Sharia principles was not found to significantly influence attitudes toward Islamic banks.Contribution — This research underscores the pivotal role of awareness and knowledge in fostering positive attitudes toward Islamic banks.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Character Building program at Bandung University in enhancing student discipline. The methodology involves both quantitative and qualitative data analysis derived from surveys and interviews with students, program chairs, and academic personnel. The evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in student discipline, reflected in positive changes in behavior, increased participation in academic activities, and engagement in social projects. Students' awareness of discipline values and responsibility has also increased, creating a more positive academic atmosphere. This research implies that the character-building program is effective as a character-formation strategy, serving as a foundation for further development. The study also underscores the importance of direct student involvement in evaluation and emphasizes the need for ongoing monitoring to identify long-term changes. Practical implications include continuous improvement in program implementation and attention to various dimensions of the student experience.

Abstract

The small-sized creative business in the tourism sector has been suffering risks of bankruptcy since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Drawing on the basic theory of reasoned action, this study aims to investigate entrepreneur risk perceptions affect their risk-taking behavior. This study only focuses on the determinants of risk-taking, with regards to the perspective from an entrepreneurial lens in perceiving business, product, and profit risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative approach using a structured questionnaire survey was utilized to attain the study objective. The dataset consists of 177 valid responses by the owner of the small-sized creative business of Indonesias tourism sector (mainly in handicraft and fashion categories). Correlation analysis and partial least square (PLS) modeling were employed to examine the causal relationship between constructs. Our empirical findings revealed that while entrepreneurs' perceived risk on business and product aspects was the most significant aspect that could affect their risk-taking behavior, entrepreneurs' perceived risk on profit aspects have an insignificant influence on their risk-taking behavior. It implies that the higher the level of business and product insecurity perceptions (as long as it can generate profitability and ensure business sustainability), the higher the level of risk-taking of entrepreneurs.

Abstract

The complexity generally triggers the opportunity of fraud in operation experienced, so that it can potentially be a serious threat which has a significant loss impact for the company. This study focuses on the indications of financial statement fraud committed by commercial banks in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the implementation of good corporate governance can reduce fraudulent financial statements activity in banks, using the moderating role of operational risk. The population determined is all commercial banks listed on the IDX for 2016 to 2020. All 25 banks that met the specified criteria were used as research samples. The data analysis technique used the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method analyzed with SPSS Software. The research findings reveal no significant relationship between Bank governance and financial statement fraud directly. However, operational risk is shown to have a moderating role in the relationship between Bank governance and financial statement fraud. In addition, operational risk also has a function as a predictor concerning fraud. Overall findings of this study are exciting because the interaction between corporate governance and operational risk can influence the company's decisions on the possibility of fraudulent financial statement activities. The benefits of this research are expected to provide input for bank management in assessing the level of corporate governance implementation and response plans for financial statement fraud actions that have a significant impact on high operational risk costs. In addition, it can provide information for regulators in supervising and evaluating regulations related to anti-fraud strategies set in commercial banks and for investors to ensure the security of their investments to increase investor confidence in banks. Finally, it suggested that further research reconsider the concept and size of the study and add new concepts to provide more determinant factors that affect fraudulent financial statements in companies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the influence of technical aspects, functional aspects, and image on the service quality in Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung, and how the quality of these services has an impact on citizen satisfaction as service users. By using a quantitative approach, the research sample was determined by convenience sampling technique. The selected research respondents were people who had used services at the Cibeunying Kidul Bandung District Office and were willing to voluntarily participate in the research. During the two-month study period, there were 89 respondents who were willing to participate and filled out a questionnaire that was sent online. The data that has been collected is analyzed using path analysis. The results of the study show that only technical and functional aspects can affect service quality in Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung. Meanwhile, service quality has a very large influence on citizen satisfaction in Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung. These results provide important implications for public organizations in an effort to increase citizen satisfaction and as an effort to encourage an increase in the quality of public services provided, especially by looking at the most important aspects that reflect of these services quality.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of risks that arise in village governance from the perspective of village officials. With village officials as the research analysis unit, about 62 village officials from developing villages, developed villages, and independent villages in Bandung Regency participated in this study. The researcher employs an instrument to measure respondents' perceptions of risk in several categories of risk impacts already taken in previous studies: financial, strategic, fraudulent, managerial, and technical related to the management of village government—five dimensions of the risk perception model in village governance. The conceptual framework builds the model. Two-stage confirmatory factor analysis tests the study. The results generally reveal that the managerial risk dimension is the risk with the most significant factor weighting compared to other risk dimensions. Thus, findings of risk, mainly managerial risk, may come from people, property, or processes involved in providing services that government organizations expect or need.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap tingkat kepuasan masyarakat di Kantor Kelurahan Antapani Wetan. Fokus utama penelitian adalah mengevaluasi sejauh mana kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan mampu memenuhi ekspektasi masyarakat. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode studi kepustakaan dan penyebaran kuesioner secara daring kepada masyarakat yang menerima pelayanan di Kantor Kelurahan Antapani Wetan pada April 2023. Dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh, terpilih 62 responden yang memenuhi kriteria sebagai sampel penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan perangkat statistik untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara variabel kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan masyarakat. Masyarakat menilai bahwa pelayanan yang diberikan lebih baik karena petugas mampu bertindak adil dalam melayani setiap individu. Selain itu, kenyamanan lingkungan kantor menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang mendukung tingkat kepuasan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat di instansi pemerintahan.
