Abstract

The minimal use of interactive learning media in the implementation of quizzes during learning causes a lack of enthusiasm and motivation for students to work on the given practice questions. This study aims to develop an interactive quiz using the genially application as a learning tool to improve the learning motivation of grade VI students at Public Elementary Schools in Paropo. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. This study was validated by material experts and media experts. The results of the validation of material experts showed an average score of 87% and validation of media experts with an average of 90% and the quiz results obtained by students in the experimental class averaged 82.70 while the average quiz score of students in the control class was 60. From the aspect of student motivation in the category of students who are active in learning, an average of 83.3% has increased from the previous average of 33.3%. In the category of enthusiasm in learning, it increased to 82.2%. And the category of student interest in the implementation of learning after implementing the genially application became 88.3%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak model Pembelajaran Kooperatif varian Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Medan pada topik tekanan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelompok eksperimen, kelas VIII-9, dan kelompok kontrol, kelas VIII-8. Kelompok eksperimen menerima metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif Think Pair Share, sedangkan kelompok kontrol dikenakan pendekatan pembelajaran tradisional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal esai yang telah dinilai normalitas dan homogenitasnya. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan t hitung = 7,98 dan t tabel = 1,67; karena t hitung melebihi t tabel, hipotesis Ha diterima. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Pembelajaran Kooperatif varian Think Pair Share memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMP Negeri 12 Medan. Metodologi Pembelajaran Kooperatif Think Pair Share diantisipasi dapat membantu pendidik dalam memenuhi persyaratan belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PhET Simulation-Based Problem-Based Learning model on Students' Science Process Skills (KPS) at SMAS Bani Adam A's. The study took place in June 2025 and the quasi-experimental method was a nonequivalent control group design. In this study, the sample was determined through purposive sampling where class X-3 was the experimental class and X-1 the control class with the same number of students, namely 30 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice KPS test totaling 20 questions. Before being given treatment, a pretest was given and then a prerequisite test was carried out to ensure the data was normally distributed and homogeneous. Given in both classes, the average score was 47.6 in the experimental class and 48 in the control class, each having a standard deviation of 15.35 and 15.5, respectively. Then given treatment, the posttest results showed an average score of 78.16 in the experimental class and 63.66 in the control class with standard deviations of 10.94 and 13.38, respectively. The data analysis used a one-tailed t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05, indicating that t count > t table. The results demonstrated a significant difference in both classes, thus supporting the application of the PhET Simulation-Based Problem-Based Learning model to the KPS.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to improve the quality of learning at target partner schools, namely UPT SD Negeri 033922 Paropo and UPT SD Negeri 030344 Paropo through learning technology adaptation training activities for teachers. This training needs to be carried out because of the digital literacy gap that occurs among elementary school teachers. In the current digital era, elementary school teachers are required to improve their ability to master information technology. The existence of digital literacy can be a motivation for teachers to be technologically literate and an effort to improve students and learning. Teachers as the front guard play an important role in the implementation of learning and can influence the results of achieving learning objectives. Teachers who have good digital literacy can manage learning more effectively. For this reason, this community service program provides training in the use of learning technology applications for elementary school teachers. Activities include training and practice. The material discussed is compiling teaching materials using the Genially application, compiling questions or quizzes and educational games. The results of this community service activity show that there has been an increase in knowledge and an increase in the ability of elementary school teachers to use learning applications. Overall, this community service activity received a positive response from teachers at SD Negeri 033922 Paropo and SD Negeri 030344 Paropo

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Untuk mengetahui pengolahan media instrumen evaluasi hasil belajar peserta didik berbasis genially pada materi gelombang unutuk kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Medan, 2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika setelah menggunakan instrumen evaluasi yang telah dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development), dengan prosedur penelitian model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner penilaian media dan kuesioner respon guru serta peserta didik dan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah penilaian kelayakan media dari empat aspek yaitu aspek penyajian, aspek desain, aspek konstruksi, dan aspek kemudahan penggunaan media. Persentase kelayakan media secara keseluruhan memperoleh persentase sebesar 84% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Media instrumen evaluasi hasil belajar berbasis genially juga terbukti efektif dalam penggunaan sebagai media pembelajaran dengan melihat hasil pretest dan posttest peserta didik dari rerata 16,32 menjadi 22. Selain itu hasil penilaian terhadap media dari peserta didik memperoleh persentase sebesar 91% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Hasil penilaian terhadap media yang dilakukan oleh guru juga memperoleh persentase sebesar 89% sehingga menunjukkan bahwa media dalam kategori "Sangat Praktis”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup lima (5) Langkah kegiatan yaitu, menganalisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Swasta Bakti Paropo yang berjumlah 43 orang. Kelayakan produk divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli media, 2 orang ahli validasi soal essay dan 2 orang ahli materi. Uji yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas.Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar komik fisika berbasis aplikasi canva untuk meningkatakan minat belajar peserta didik kelasVIII SMP Swasta Bakti Paropo yang dikemas seperti buku tetapi lebih menarik dengan desain dan gambar pada komik tersebut. Produk yang dihasilkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk pembelajaran berdasarkan validasi dari 2 orang ahli media, 2 orang ahli materi dan 2 orang validator soal essay. Kelayakan ahli media 3,25 (sangat baik), ahli materi 3,5 (sangat baik) dan validasi soal essay baik. Pengembangan bahan ajar komik fisika berbasis aplikasi canva ini jika digunakan dikelas VIII SMP Swasta Bakti Paropo efektif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Dapat dilihat dari hasil soal essay yang telah dijawab oleh peserta didik setelah menggunakan bahan ajar komik meningkat dari sebelum menggunakan bahan ajar atau belajar secara monoton.

Abstract

In the era of technology-based learning, innovation is required to connect physics concepts with real-world phenomena to enhance students’ deep and meaningful understanding. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a contextual learning strategy based on geoelectric principles using the Electrical Conductivity Soil Geoelectric (ECSG) sensor to improve high school students’ understanding of resistivity and electrical conductivity concepts. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 34 students of class XI Science at SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran, North Tapanuli Regency. The research instruments consisted of a conceptual understanding test, procedural skills observation, and a student response questionnaire. The results showed an increase in the average score from 46.50 to 75.80 with an N-Gain value of 0.55, categorized as moderate. Procedural skills achieved an average score of 3.33 (good category), while student responses to the learning implementation reached an agreement level above 85% (very good category). These findings indicate that the application of geoelectric sensor technology in physics learning can enhance measurement accuracy, active participation, and students’ learning motivation. Thus, the ECSG-based geoelectric contextual approach is effective in strengthening conceptual understanding, scientific skills, and the relevance of physics learning to real-life contexts in agrarian environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing Olabs virtual lab-based physics learning on learning outcomes, compare student learning outcomes using Olabs virtual labs with conventional methods, and identify the advantages and limitations of implementing Olabs virtual labs in physics learning. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design to evaluate the effect of Olabs virtual lab implementation on student learning outcomes in physics courses. Therefore, the instrument used in this study was a pretest-posttest. The study population was Physics Education student at HKBP Nommensen University. After administering different treatments to the two classes, the control and experimental classes, the average learning outcomes for the control class were 66.56 for the pretest and 75 for the posttest. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, the average pretest acore was 66.92 and the posttest acore was 85.38. the data analysis concluded that implementing Olabs virtual lab-based physiscs learning improved the learning outvomes of physics education students in the experimental class.

Abstract

This research is very important to improve the quality of student learning, which is supported by good knowledge and a teaching process. It uses various sources and teaching materials presented interestingly so that students get various experiences in the field of chemistry as expected. By developing an Emodule based on ethnochemistry (culture related to chemistry), this study bridges the gap in existing teaching materials that lack cultural integration, which often hinders students engagement and scientific literacy development. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of local cultural practices, such as Batak culture, into redox chemistry learning, creating an innovative approach to enhance students scientific literacy. The method used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative approach, specifically employing a 4D model (define, design, development, dissemination) to develop and validate the module. The results show that the ethnochemistry based module teaching materials on redox material are the characteristics of effective modules, achieving validation scores of 3.45 from media experts and 3.37 from material experts, categorized as "very appropriate". Additionally, student responses to the E-Module were very positive, with an average score of 3.70, indicating its effectiveness in enhancing students understanding and engagement.

Abstract

E-LKPD is a medium students can use to train themselves and hone their ability to master a learning material. As a training medium, E-LKPD is one of the evaluation tools that can be used to measure student achievement in the learning process. For this reason, the compiled E-LKPD should pay attention to the elements of student characteristics and learning conditions. This research was conducted at SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data used in this study are test data on learning outcomes for understanding concepts using the compiled E-LKPD and questionnaire data from distributing questionnaires to measure student enthusiasm in learning. The subjects in this study were 35 students of class X SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. E-LKPD was designed interactively with the Canva application and validated by experts with 2% and 87%. Scores The SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi trial showed a significant increase in student scores, from an average of 60.25 to 79.85 after using E-LKPD. Students also responded positively through questionnaires, showing increased motivation, engagement, and understanding. These results prove the effectiveness of E-LKPD in improving the quality of learning and are recommended for application to other materials. This study uses the ADDIE model to develop interactive E-LKPD to enhance students' understanding of static fluids. The results showed a significant increase in students' average scores after using E-LKPD. In addition, students felt more interested and active in learning, indicating the effectiveness of this learning media.
