Abstract

Mathematics learning integrated with Islamic values is a strategic approach to shaping the character of students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also have noble character. This study aims to examine the impact of the integration of Islamic values in mathematics learning on student character formation. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach through the analysis of various relevant academic sources. The study results indicate that values such as honesty, responsibility, and piety can be effectively instilled through the integration of mathematics material with an Islamic context. This approach has been proven to support students' cognitive and spiritual development and is relevant to national education goals.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media in the form of a GUI (Graphical User Interface) application using MATLAB GUIDE to solve Systems of Linear Equations (SLE) through the Gaussian elimination method. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a software development approach, encompassing stages such as needs analysis, interface design, algorithm implementation, and documentation. The developed application enables users to input the coefficients and constants of the SLE, compute the solutions using Gaussian elimination, and display the results in both numerical and visual forms (2D and 3D graphs). The research findings show that the application can solve SLE automatically, quickly, and accurately, and features a simple, user-friendly, and practical interface, as reflected by a practicality questionnaire score of 96.1%. This media is expected to serve as a supportive tool in mathematics education, particularly in enhancing students’ understanding of SLE concepts in mathematics education programs.

Abstract

Based on the initial study, the mathematical problem-solving ability and mathematical disposition of eighth-grade students of SMPN 1 Mataram in the 2024/2025 academic year are classified as low. This study aims to determine the effect of mathematical disposition on mathematical problem-solving ability. The method used is quantitative with a comparative causal type (ex-post facto). The study population was 436 students, and a sample of 78 students was selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were a mathematical disposition questionnaire and a mathematical problem-solving ability test. The results of the descriptive analysis showed i) most students had high mathematical disposition (39 students); ii) most students had very high mathematical problem-solving ability (29 students); iii) most had high mathematical disposition with very high problem-solving ability (16 students). Based on a simple linear regression analysis, the equation   , was obtained. This means that every 1 increase in mathematical disposition value will cause the mathematical problem-solving ability value to increase by 0.304. Hypothesis testing shows a significant influence between mathematical disposition and mathematical problem-solving ability. The coefficient of determination  value is 0.289, indicating that mathematical disposition contributes 28.9%.

Abstract

Low student math learning achievement is still a problem that is often encountered. Internal factors such as adversity quotient and emotional quotient are thought to influence student learning achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of adversity quotient and emotional quotient on students' mathematics learning achievement both partially and simultaneously. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto method. The population of this study was class VIII as many as 200 students. The sample used was 133 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study were adversity quotient questionnaire, emotional quotient questionnaire and math learning achievement test. The instruments were validated by two experts. By using regression analysis, the results obtained: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of adversity quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 7.2%; 2) there is a positive and significant effect of emotional quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 12.9%; 3) there is a positive and significant effect of adversity quotient and emotional quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 11.7%.

Abstract

Mathematics has an important role in solving various problems in everyday life, including in the fields of commerce, measurement, and astronomy. One of the goals of learning mathematics is to train logical thinking and problem solving skills. However, students often experience difficulties with comparing materials, such US determine unit values, classifying types of comparisons, and compare fractions. This difficulty requires contextual and interesting learning strategies, such US ethnomathematics-based learning. Ethnomathematics integrates local culture into mathematics learning to make it more relevant and meaningful. This research highlights local Lombok culture, especially the process of making jackfruit dodol, as a context for learning value comparisons. The research uses a qualitative approach with a development studies type design research method. Research steps include studying the concept of value comparison, constructivism theory, and the relationship between local culture and mathematics. The learning design developed emphasizes the involvement of students as learning subjects (constructivist learning) to build understanding through direct experience. It is hoped that this ethnomathematics-based learning will not only improve students' understanding of mathematics but also introduce and preserve local culture.

Abstract

Pendekatan internet sehat bagi siswa melibatkan pendidikan literasi digital untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang keamanan siber, pengawasan orang tua dan guru, serta penerapan aturan penggunaan internet yang bijak. Selain itu, penguatan regulasi terkait perlindungan anak di dunia maya dan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, serta platform digital juga penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan online yang aman bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi penerapan internet sehat bagi santriwati di MTS Hikmatusysyarief Salut Kecamatan Narmada sebagai upaya preventif dalam memberikan informasi untuk mengurangi risiko cyber crime pada peserta didik. Kegiatan ini dibagi menjadi dua yaitu kelas materi dan kelas praktik. Pengabdian ini memiliki hasil kualitatif berupa sesi wawancara memetakan pengetahuan santriwati dan tanya jawab dilakukan untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa tentang materi yang telah disampaikan. Kemudian menggunakan kuisioner. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarat di MTS Hikmatusysyarief mencapai persentase rata-rata 84,67 %, dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat puas.
