Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of the talaqqi method in improving students' understanding of the grammatical use of Arabic, especially fiil mudhori'. The talaqqi method, which is based on direct interaction between teachers and students, is expected to create a more dynamic and responsive learning environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The research subjects included students and teachers of Arabic language class X Bilingual MA Nurul Islam Mojokerto who actively applied the talaqqi method in teaching grammar. The research results show that students feel more involved and motivated in learning Arabic when using the talaqqi method. Students reported increased understanding in the use of fiil mudhori', as well as the ability to better apply grammatical rules in writing. Direct interactions with teachers and classmates provide opportunities for students to ask questions, discuss, and receive constructive feedback. These findings emphasize the importance of the talaqqi method as an effective strategy in teaching Arabic, as well as implications for better teaching practices in the future. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for educators in designing more interactive and relevant learning approaches.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aimed to create a scientific dialogue between the Tamyiz Method - as a fast method for learning Arabic Qawaid - and the Nahwu renewal concept initiated by Syauqi Dhayf. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research used qualitative methods with the type of library research. Data collection was by collecting and reading library materials related to the research theme, making notes, and analyzing them deductively using Miles and Haberman's analysis stages. Findings- The results of this research stated that the Tamyiz 1 material could apply the six principles of Nahwu Syauqi Dhayf renewal except for “the elimination of i'rob taqdiri or mahalli analysis”, because the learning material in Tamyiz 1 – which aimed to be smart tarjamah of the Quran – did not introduce i'rob analysis. The rest principles – such as reformulation, reorientation, redefinition, deleting additional materials that do not lead to achieve learning objectives, and adding material considered significant in achieving learning objectives – could be seen in several structures of Tamyiz 1 materials, such as the addition of the mujarrod chapter to find the original letter of a sentence, focuses the material on identifying harf, fiil and isim with its characteristics and patterns (wazan) which have a high frequency of appearance in the QS. Al-Baqarah. Several other chapters known in the classical nahwu standards are not taught because the materials are focused and arranged concisely to achieving Tamyiz 1 learning objectives.  Research Implications- The results of this research have implications for The results of this research have implications for learning qawaid with the 'fast method' which has been developed by many Arabic language scholars, including the Tamyiz Method. The results of this research can provide an epistemological explanation regarding fast Nahwu learning methods.

Abstract

Peneliti berusaha untuk mengungkap efektifitas strategi mind map dalam pembelajaran qawaid pada siswa MTS Pembangunan Jakarta. Peneliti mennggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan membuat dua kelompok. Kelompok pertama adalah kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan treatment strategi mind map sebagai dasar kegiatan pembelajaran, sedangkan kelompok kedua adalah kelas control yang dengan tanpa menggunakan teori konstruktivisme dalam kegiatan pembelajarannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai to lebih besar dari tt, dan ini menunjukkan bahwa hippotesis nol H0 ditolak. Adapun hipotesis alternative Ha diterima. Sesungguhnya pembelajaran qawaid dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas control memiliki perbedaan yang jelas, dan ini bermakna bahwa pembelajaran qawaid menggunakan strategi mind map adalah efektif.

Abstract

Zohar dan Marshall mengatakan bahwa Kecerdasan Spiritual adalah kecerdasan tertinggi dari semua kecerdasan yang dimiliki manusia. Oleh karenanya membangun dan meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual menjadi sangat penting, karena dengan kecerdasan spiritual seseorang dapat menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi dengan nilainilai positif yang dimilikinya, mahasiswa lebih rajin, bertanggung jawab dan menjauhkan diri dari rasa malas belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan mahasiswa IAIN Kediri dan bagaimana cara meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritualnya dengan menggunakan refleksi diri yang dikembangkan oleh Kolb. Jenis Penelitian ini Quasi experiment dengan desain pre-test post-test. Populasi adalah mahasiswa semester 5 fakultas Tarbiyah, Syariah, Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam, dan Ushuludin IAIN Kediri. Sample penelitian berjumlah 228 responden dengan teknik cluster sampling. Instrument penelitian menggunakan Angket kecerdasan spiritual oleh King dan templet Reflektif Kolb. Dan untuk mengetahui hasil eksperimen menggunaakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata rata kecerdasan spiritual mhs IAIN kediri adalah sedang, dengan rincian mahasiswa yang memiliki kecerdasan spiritual tinggi 126 Mahasiswa (55,3%), kecerdasan spiritual sedang 101 mahasiswa (44,2%) dan kecerdasan spiritual rendah 1 orang (0,5%). Meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual dengan menggunakan Kolb’s self Reflection adalah efektif, terbukti dari meningkatnya skor dari pre-test ke pos-tes sebanyak 26, 62% atau disebut dengan meningkat hampir separuhnya.

Abstract

Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf (TAM) is a course given to semester 1 students of Arabic Language Education, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kediri. This course aims to prepare new students with standard Arabic language skills so they will be able to learn Arabic language courses in the next semester easily. The development of this textbook is based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) because CTL is a student-oriented approach which can lead students to become more active and can generate self-directed in learning. The textbook development uses the ADDIE procedure with 5 development steps and ends with an experimental test to reveal the effectiveness. This research produced a textbook Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf based on Contextual Teaching and Learning with its seven principles, which are: constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection and authentic assessment. This textbook contains 21 dars (units). Each dars (unit) contains 4 material: 1) ta'bir al-shuurah, 2) hiwar, 3) nash qiraah, and 4) qawaid. In hiwar, nash qiraah and qawaid are equipped with practice questions and a list of mufrodat and Arabic expressions. The results of the effectiveness test with the pre-test and post-test designs revealed that the average post-test score was at 65.33, higher than the pre-test average score at 56.35. Total T count of 9.90 is higher than T table of 1.98 which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. With a Pearson correlation value of 0.64 greater than 0.05, the use of books proved to be effective.

Abstract

Language learning strategies are understood as characteristics of learners that influence their success in developing language competence. This research focuses on Speaking Skills. The subjects of this study were Fifty Arabic Learners at the Pare Arabic Course Institute. This study aims to (1) Reveal Direct Strategies for learning Arabic at maharoh kalam for learners at the Pare Arabic course institution. (2) Reveal the Indirect Strategy of learning Arabic at maharoh kalam for learners at the Pare Arabic course institution. To answer the purpose of the study, researchers used qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through two stages: (1) Using the Oxford Model Questionnaire (1990) as the main data instrument to obtain information about the strategies used by learners in learning Arabic. (2) Teacher informants as additional information about factors influencing the selection of language learning strategies. The results of this study show that: (1) The Dominant Direct Strategy used by learners in the Bitter Melon's Arabic Course Institute is a Cognitive Strategy that has a high percentage, the percentage is: (a) Cognitive Strategy 7.5%, (b) Memory Strategy 4.68%, (c) Compensation Strategy 4.62%. (2) The Dominant Indirect Strategy used by learners in the Pare Arabic Course Institute is the Metacognitive Strategy which has a high percentage, the percentage is: (a) Metacognitive Strategy 9%, (b) Social Strategy 7.81%, (c) Affective Strategy 2.03%. The benefits of this research add insight and information about Arabic learning strategies. Further research can be done that allows for new findings on Arabic learning strategies.

Abstract

Every student has a different learning style, so Arabic language learning needs to be tailored to their needs. Adaptive pedagogy adapts learning to students' needs, and roleplay supports this by practicing Arabic contextually and interactively according to each student's learning style. Classroom Action Research (PTK) or Classroom Action Research reflective in nature with the aim of improving direct learning practices in the classroom. The research subjects were 33 bilingual eighth grade students and Arabic teachers at MTs 2 Nurul Islam. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. So the results of its implementation are: a) Identification of student learning styles shows 15 visual students who learn effectively through images and visual media, 8 auditory students who understand the material through listening and discussion, and 10 kinesthetic students who learn optimally through direct practice and physical activity. Teachers need to apply diverse methods so that all learning styles are served. b) Innovative strategies in adaptive pedagogy through professional role-playing accommodate all learning styles through costumes, pronunciation, and physical activity in one fun activity. c) The impact of adaptive pedagogy on student learning styles is increased engagement, understanding, and learning comfort according to student characteristics. d) Challenges of adaptive pedagogy include adjusting learning styles, time management, student activity, and media limitations. The solution is to provide dialogue templates, visual-audio guides, and a gradual schedule.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning strategies used by students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah, State Islamic Institute of Kediri in the maharah kalam course using the language learning strategy classification verified by Rebecca Oxford. The results of this study can provide an overview for language learners, teachers, and practitioners about the learning strategies that are widely used in learning maharah kalam. This study employs a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire adapted from the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL), while qualitative data were gathered through in-depth interviews with selected respondents to explore the concrete forms of learning strategies employed. The results of the study indicate that students use various learning strategies, both direct (such as cognitive and compensatory strategies) and indirect (such as metacognitive and social strategies). Metacognitive strategies, such as planning and self-evaluation, and social strategies, such as collaborating with friends, are the most dominant strategies used. The researcher also found a lack of understanding and application of affective strategies among students, which impacts their low self-confidence in speaking Arabic in public. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Fakultas Tarbiyah, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kediri dalam mata kuliah maharah kalam dengan menggunakan klasifikasi strategi pembelajaran bahasa yang dikembangkan oleh Rebecca Oxford. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran bagi para pembelajar bahasa, pendidik, dan praktisi mengenai strategi pembelajaran yang paling banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran maharah kalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed method) dengan desain penjelasan berurutan (sequential explanatory design). Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui angket yang diadaptasi dari Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL), sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan responden terpilih untuk menggali bentuk konkret penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menggunakan berbagai strategi pembelajaran, baik strategi langsung (seperti strategi kognitif dan kompensasi) maupun strategi tidak langsung (seperti strategi metakognitif dan sosial). Strategi metakognitif, seperti perencanaan dan evaluasi diri, serta strategi sosial, seperti kerja sama dengan teman, merupakan strategi yang paling dominan digunakan. Peneliti juga menemukan kurangnya pemahaman dan penerapan strategi afektif di kalangan mahasiswa, yang berdampak pada rendahnya kepercayaan diri mereka dalam berbicara bahasa Arab di depan umum.

Abstract

Based on the facts, it shows that teachers are still using the old model curriculum and students are still having difficulties in learning Arabic and there is a need for the development of a new curriculum. So that here researchers will develop a new learning curriculum, namely the Arabic language learning curriculum based on project-based learning. The researcher chose a project-based learning Arabic learning curriculum because it can increase learning motivation, improve problem-solving skills, increase collaboration and improve skills in managing resources.This research uses a type of research and development or what is commonly called research and development (R&D). This research method aims to develop a particular product or create a new product accompanied by a test of the effectiveness of the product. The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). This research and development is based on researchers who will develop an Arabic language learning product, namely a project-based learning Arabic curriculum. Small-group or limited-group trials were carried out at MTs Amdadiyah Kediri. Therefore, a curriculum with various activities is needed that can develop students' creativity in completing assignments. Product trials are carried out by validation tests and field tests. The results of the validation test by curriculum experts I and II obtained an average R (Percentage of agreement) value of the validator of 81,53%. The normality test used is the Shapiro-Wilk. The significance value (Sig.) in the Shapiro-Wilk pre-test and post-test was above (p > 0.05), so based on the Shapiro-Wilk normality test the data was normally distributed. That is, there was no decrease (reduction) and as many as 22 students experienced an increase in Arabic scores after participating in learning activities that implemented a project-based learning Arabic learning curriculum. As for the results of the questionnaire on the responses of class VIII MTs Amdadiyah students to the application of the Arabic language curriculum based on project-based learning, they obtained a percentage of 86.06% which was categorized as "very feasible".

Abstract

Arabic as a foreign language has high complexity, especially in writing skills, so it requires innovative learning strategies. Collaborative Picture Sequencing based on images and cooperation, with Vygotsky's theory, is effective in improving writing skills, motivation, and cooperation, although it requires attention to member dominance and time. Based on this context, this study aims to understand the dynamics of Collaborative Picture Sequencing in Arabic language writing learning, especially through the integration of Vygotsky's collaboration theory, so that the strategy can be implemented effectively according to students' learning needs. This study uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative method, with data from observations, interviews, and documentation of writing results before and after the implementation of the strategy. The results of the study show four main findings: [1] Ease of Expressing Ideas through Sequential Images. [2] Dynamics of Collaboration in Language Exchange, [3] Scaffolding in the Zone of Proximal Development, [4] Improving the Quality of Written Products. By understanding these dynamics, teachers are expected to be able to design more effective and contextual writing learning, increase students' motivation and writing skills, as well as become a reference for developing collaboration-based materials so that each student develops according to their potential.
