Abstract

This empirical study aims to analyze the comparative effects of Shadow Drill and Slalom Dribble training methods on the improvement of dribbling skills among football extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang Regency. Employing an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test two-group format, the research involved 18 student-athletes selected through total sampling. Participants were divided equally into two groups: Group A received Shadow Drill training, while Group B underwent Slalom Dribble training, each for six weeks. The dribbling performance was measured using a standardized soccer dribbling test, and data were analyzed using a t-test for significance. The results revealed that both training methods significantly enhanced students’ dribbling performance (p < 0.05). However, the Shadow Drill method demonstrated a greater positive effect compared to the Slalom Dribble method. This finding suggests that the reactive and adaptive nature of Shadow Drill exercises enhances motor coordination, focus, and ball control, contributing to superior dribbling skills development. The study reinforces the pedagogical importance of varied and interactive training drills in optimizing technical performance in youth football programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Pencak Silat coach training program on athlete development in North Sumatra in 2024. Using a quantitative approach and an experimental design, this research compares two groups of athletes: one trained by coaches who attended the training program and one trained by coaches who did not. Data were collected through questionnaires, skill tests, observations, and documentation of athletes' achievements. The results showed that athletes trained by coaches who attended the training program exhibited better technical skills, physical qualities, mental strength, and motivation compared to those trained by non-participating coaches. Additionally, athletes trained by coaches who participated in the program performed better in provincial and national competitions. Based on statistical analysis, the coach training program positively influenced athlete development with a p-value < 0.05. This study concludes that the Pencak Silat coach training program can enhance coaching quality and athlete performance, making it essential to continue and expand its implementation throughout North Sumatra.

Abstract

Given the strong connection between physical activities, such as sports, and factors like quality of life, health, and overall well-being, it is crucial for every person to cultivate an interest in sports. Many sports that are popular throughout the community are categorised as "traditional." Traditional sports are activities that take place on a flat or level surface and involve the use of conventional equipment. There are two sorts of characteristics, namely intrinsic and extrinsic variables, that can impact an individual's inclination for traditional athletics. The investigation sought to ascertain the level of enthusiasm for conventional sports among students at Bina Guna STOK. This inquiry utilised quantitative descriptive analysis. The population being utilised refers to the group of students from the 2023 cohort at PJKR STOK Bina Guna Medan. The snowball sample technique, encompassing a total of fifty individuals, was employed. A questionnaire is a research tool that is utilised. The findings of the comprehensive analysis indicate that students at STIKP Pasundan have a significant inclination towards traditional sports, with a 4% share classified as "moderate," 58% as "high," and 28% as "very high." Based on the percentage of interest, the average value obtained for the interest of Bina Guna STOK students in traditional sports is classed as "High".

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak partisipasi dalam olahraga terstruktur terhadap tingkat disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium UIN SU Medan pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan desain kuantitatif, melibatkan 50 siswa yang aktif berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan olahraga terstruktur di madrasah tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diukur dengan skala Likert yang mencakup indikator disiplin (ketepatan waktu, kepatuhan terhadap aturan) dan tanggung jawab (penyelesaian tugas mandiri dan sosial). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara olahraga terstruktur dan peningkatan disiplin serta tanggung jawab siswa. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam olahraga terstruktur menunjukkan tingkat disiplin dan tanggung jawab yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang tidak terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut. Temuan ini mendukung literatur yang menyatakan bahwa olahraga dapat berperan penting dalam pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar madrasah memperkuat program olahraga terstruktur sebagai bagian dari kurikulum untuk meningkatkan kualitas karakter siswa. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengakui keterbatasan sampel yang terbatas pada satu institusi dan menggunakan metode survei yang bergantung pada data subjektif. Penelitian lebih lanjut dengan sampel yang lebih luas dan metode yang lebih variatif disarankan untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang dampak olahraga terstruktur terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis integrasi pendidikan olahraga dalam kurikulum sekolah menengah di Indonesia, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 15 sekolah menengah di tiga kota besar, yaitu Jakarta, Bandung, dan Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei yang diisi oleh guru pendidikan jasmani dan siswa, serta wawancara dengan kepala sekolah. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa meskipun fasilitas olahraga di sebagian besar sekolah sudah memadai, terdapat ketimpangan yang signifikan antara sekolah di daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan, di mana sekolah-sekolah di pedesaan memiliki fasilitas yang lebih terbatas. Selain itu, meskipun sebagian besar guru merasa memiliki waktu yang cukup untuk mengajarkan materi pendidikan olahraga, sebagian besar siswa mengungkapkan bahwa mereka tidak memiliki waktu yang memadai untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan fisik yang intensif. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi bahwa kurangnya dukungan kebijakan dari pihak manajemen sekolah dan terbatasnya anggaran untuk pengadaan fasilitas olahraga menjadi hambatan utama dalam implementasi pendidikan olahraga. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar kebijakan pendidikan olahraga diperkuat, serta perlu ada penyesuaian dalam manajemen waktu agar siswa dapat lebih banyak terlibat dalam kegiatan olahraga. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan jasmani yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan di Indonesia.
