Abstract

Rejuvenation of religion is one of the right steps to address public unrest related to the presence of transnational ideology in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The Human Fraternity document signed by Pope Francis and Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, very cleverly compiled constructive ideas for the purpose of religious rejuvenation. A very fundamental point in the spirit of Human Fraternity is interpreting religion not as a wall that separates followers of religion, but rather as a bridge that leads followers of religions to meet and make peace with followers of other religions. The straight path to the bridge of peace is dialogue that can be implemented in many forms and ways. With a dialogical spirit nourished by the idea of religious rejuvenation inspired by the document, we can certainly paralyze the radical understanding or transnational ideology that is always counterproductive to NTT's public dreams, to build the future of religious harmony in the foundation of Pancasila (National Ideology) and Multiculturalism in order to create a prosperous NTT community

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to complete the shortcomings of previous studies related to the challenges of implementing learning in the current era of disruption. In an effort to find alternative solutions that are more effective, this study seeks to analyze and examine how educators transform themselves to face various challenges in education in accordance with the spirit of the times. The existence of educational disruption has not been followed by an emphasis on the importance of digital-based transformative education and strengthening the competence of educators as an increasingly ideal basis for transformation. This paper is based on the argument that no matter how strong the influence of the pace of development of digital information technology, which tends to be disruptive, the spillover of which has shaken the education sector, creative and dynamic efforts will increasingly find momentum during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, educators continue to play a vital role in the educational process that cannot simply be replaced by technological sophistication. Within the limits of this understanding, basically all achievements of scientific and technological progress are rooted in the educational process by placing the basis of digital transformation as a starting point for change to a better, civilized and quality direction.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the important things that can affect the student's learning process. This study aims to explore the phenomenon of learning motivation of elementary school students. This research is quantitative research using survey exploratory research. Subjects involved in this study amounted to 51 elementary school students. Data collection uses a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The questionnaire was compiled based on four components of learning motivation, namely the drive for achievement, discipline in learning, readiness to overcome difficulties, and curiosity. The questionnaire uses a Likert scale with the categories "always", "often", "sometimes", and "never". The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that in general, the students had high motivation. However, this high motivation is not in line with concrete actions that show their enthusiasm for learning. This is because the motivation that develops is extrinsic. Students learn to get rewarded or to avoid punishment from teachers. Nevertheless, the students are aware of their obligations as students and believe in their abilities. This can be used as initial capital to encourage students to improve their learning achievement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the issue of character among the millennial generation, especially at the local level. The aim of the study is to identify character values in the Caci dance to guide the character formation of the millennial generation. The research method is qualitative. The primary subjects are traditional leaders, community leaders, and male Caci dancers. Field data was obtained through interviews. Data analysis techniques involve grouping, presenting data, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Caci dance reveals theological-ecological values, axiological values, and aesthetic values. The implication of the Caci dance is that Caci players and the young generation of Manggarai are at least holistic humans. They must be clean, pure, and sacred, not involved in moral scandals, such as gambling, conflicts, and free sex, before competing in the Caci arena.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the teaching methods, challenges, and character education for deaf children at SLB Karya Murni Ruteng, NTT. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved interviews, observations, and documentation with the school principal, a second-grade teacher, and deaf students. Deaf children face significant challenges in verbal and social communication, requiring specialized teaching methods focusing on direct experiences, sign language, and intensive training such as “language immersion.” SLB Karya Murni implements contextual methods linking instructional materials to daily life, such as tactile exercises to enhance sensory perception and integrated speech training to strengthen vocal abilities. Additionally, conversation visualization programs are employed to help children understand and develop vocabulary. The study found that the learning process demands patience, creativity, and technological support to improve the cognitive and communication skills of deaf children. The school also emphasizes practical skill development through activities like woodworking and beauty salon workshops, preparing students for independent living. This research highlights the importance of inclusion-based character education, family involvement, and a supportive social environment, which are expected to enhance the active participation of deaf children in their communities. These findings are anticipated to serve as a reference for developing more effective and inclusive learning programs in other special education schools.
