Abstract

Perempuan generasi sandwich merupakan orang dewasa paruh baya yang dinilai mempunyai potensi optimal dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dan mencapai kondisi kesejahteraan sosial. Namun, banyak tuntutan yang dimiliki perempuan generasi sandwich di ketiga generasi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini membahas tentang keberfungsian sosial perempuan generasi sandwich berdasarkan peran-peran yang dimilikinya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada Maret-Juli 2022, dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi terhadap tiga orang wanita generasi sandwich, dua orang rekan kerja, dan tiga orang perwakilan keluarga dari wanita generasi sandwich. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa perempuan generasi sandwich dihadapkan pada konflik peran ganda berupa konflik berbasis waktu. Strategi yang dilakukan yaitu problem-focused coping, dengan mencari informasi mengenai suatu permasalahan dan mengumpulkan solusi untuk dipertimbangkan dan dipilih. Peran perempuan dalam generasi sandwich sudah berjalan optimal, seluruh aspek dan domain fungsi sosial terpenuhi. Kesimpulan bahwa kondisi kesejahteraan sosial dapat dicapai berdasarkan terpenuhinya fungsi sosial pada perempuan generasi sandwich.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan anak-anak di Kelurahan Manggemaci, Kota Bima, melalui pelatihan bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan ini didesain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris anak-anak secara interaktif dan menyenangkan. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan melibatkan berbagai aktivitas kreatif dan berbasis permainan untuk memperkuat keterampilan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat setempat menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam memperkuat lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, diharapkan anak-anak dapat meraih peluang yang lebih luas dalam menghadapi tantangan global dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka di masa depan.

Abstract

The implementation of E-evaluation based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in private high schools remains limited. Observations from the Community Service Team revealed several issues, including the minimal use of E-evaluation in Muhammadiyah High Schools. Interviews with the principal and several teachers indicated that evaluations are still predominantly paper-based. In 4.0 era, it is essential for both teachers and students to adapt the technological advancements, especially in the evaluation process. E-evaluation serves as an effective tool for assessment at the high school level. The goals of this initiative are to: 1) enhance the technological skills of teachers at partner private schools, 2) improve teachers' understanding of E-evaluation, 3) develop HOTS-based E-evaluation products, and 4) increase teachers’ knowledge about crafting questions that promote Higher Order Thinking Skills. The methods used include presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The proposed steps for working with teachers are: 1) FDG, 2) training and mentoring, 3) monitoring, and 4) evaluation. The outcomes of this activity include: (1) 90% teacher participation, (2) 80% teachers grasping how to formulate HOTS-based questions, (3) 90% understanding the use of E-evaluation, (4) 90% of students gaining familiarity with courses in Human and Computer Interaction, Teaching Strategies, and Learning Evaluation, (5) the creation of an E-evaluation module/guidebook, (6) certificates for teachers who develop E-evaluation questions, (7) visual materials such as posters, (8) published articles in the Abdi Insani journal, (9) media coverage of activities in online platforms, and (10) activity videos uploaded to the STKIP Taman Siswa YouTube channel. So, the practical significance for teachers is improving the quality of education using E-evaluation Technology in Private schools

Abstract

The social rehabilitation process in which children face legal conflict is not easy, especially when they are far from their families. This article aims to examine the forms and benefits of social support from foster parents to Children in Conflict with the Law (ABH) who are undergoing the process of social rehabilitation. Descriptive qualitative research was conducted at the Social Rehabilitation Center for Children who Need Special Protection (BRSAMPK). This research was conducted in March-July 2021. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with 13 informants, consisting of children in conflict with the law, heads of social services and rehabilitation, foster parents, and social workers. The results of the research show that foster parents BRSAMPK Handayani Jakarta provide social supports to children: emotional support in the form of giving affection, appreciation support in the form of giving positive sentences, instrumental support in the form of giving rewards, and informative support in the form of input and suggestions. The social support provided by foster parents can fill the absence of the family and help the child undergo the social rehabilitation process. The social support received by ABH makes them feel comfortable and open with their foster parents; the social rehabilitation process is smoother; and encourages changes in ABH behavior. The conclusion is that the social support provided by foster parents who are significant others has a very crucial role in the social rehabilitation process and fulfillment of ABH's rights. This article contributes to the study of social welfare by providing a more in-depth description of the role of social support for ABH in social rehabilitation process, facilitating behavioral change, and fulfilling the rights of ABH.

Abstract

Implementation of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) method need to be assessed. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the CTL method to improve students’ speaking skills. It was conducted at SMPN 12 Langgudu Satap with a total of 13 students, 9 female and 4 male students. This research method used quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The data was obtained by compare students’ speaking test results before and after treatment in the same group without a control group. The results showed that applying the CTL method was effective in  improving students’ speaking skills. Students were able to speak more clearly, confidently and explain objects in more detail. There is a positive change from the pretest average score of 46.15, which increased to 69.23 in the posttest. Moreover, the paired sample t- test conducted using SPSS shows a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on  the decision making guideline, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted if the significance value (sig.2-tailed) < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that CTL method effectively  to improve students’ speaking skills at the first grade students of SMPN 12 Langgudu Satap.

Previous studies showed that a person’s resilience is affected by many factors. Poverty is considered to be one of the factors that can interfere a person’s resilience. Resilience at every age is different, the resilience in adults and children is also different. Abstract

This research discusses about the lack of knowledge in the SBB Tapos parenting and its association with child welfare. This study explains not only how these problems occurred, but also the potential of what society has to address the problem, and how to overcome them. Overcoming ofproblems conducted with the participation of target communities in a program of action in the form of social action. This research is an applied research that is processed in a qualitative way so that describes each stage of parenting knowledge improvement that has been done. The results of this study show a change in knowledge of target communities regarding which ideal parenting that should be given to children aged 5 and 6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the coastal community's economy through the diversification of shrimp cracker products in Punti Village, Soromandi District, Bima Regency. The method used is a participatory approach involving training, assistance, and product innovation. The results of the activities show that product diversification—such as spicy shrimp crackers, mini shrimp crackers, and premium-packaged shrimp crackers—can increase both market value and market reach. The community has begun to demonstrate independence in production and marketing. Through a collaborative and innovative approach, product diversification has proven effective as a strategy for strengthening the local economy

Abstract

The presence of the CoComelon channel has brought several positive impacts, especially through its English songs that help increase children's interest in learning the English language. This study was conducted to measure the effectiveness of CoComelon songs in English language learning, particularly in vocabulary mastery among fourth-grade students at SDN Runggu, Indonesia. In this research, the researcher applied a pre-experimental method using a quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were fourth-grade elementary school students aged between 10 and 11 years old. The students listened to and learned English vocabulary through selected CoComelon songs as part of the learning material. The main focus of this study is how CoComelon songs affect the English language skills of elementary school students at SDN Runggu, particularly in vocabulary usage. Data were collected through four stages: pre-test, treatment,  post-test, and data analysis. The design used in this study was a one-group post-test design. The results of this study indicate that the use of CoComelon songs in the learning process is effective in improving vocabulary mastery among fourth-grade students at SDN Runggu.
