Abstract

Rainwater is harvested through a simple system commonly called Rain Water Harvesting. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality of rainwater to be harvested, the potential discharge that can be utilized, and the design of the PAH system for Mesiapi Village, Southwest Maluku Regency. The method of determining the quality of rainwater is done by collecting rainwater and then testing it in the laboratory. Analysis of rainfall frequency using continuous probability, namely the distribution of gumbel and log person III then tested the probability distribution using the Chi square test, to determine the discharge of clean water that can be harvested, after that planning the design and cost budget for making a recervoir tub. The results of water quality testing show a pH value of 8.11; Temperature 24.4°C; and TDS 22.9 mg/l. The highest rainfall value in Mesiapi village for 10 years with the highest rainfall level occurred in 2020, namely 260 mm. The rainfall return period is 2 years with a rain duration of 2 hours, with the Log Person III distribution obtaining a rainfall plan value of 7.857 mm/hour and a discharge of 61 lt/det. The draft cost budget obtained from the calculation for the construction of a recervoir (reservoir) in Mesiapi village with a plan for 2 reservoirs is IDR 665,284,000.

Abstract

This research aims to plan the thickness of flexible pavement layers on road segments that have not been coated with pavement on the Laha-Negeri Lima road section, Central Maluku Regency. Through primary data collection, namely data obtained in the field including DCP, LHR survey, road dimensions, and documentation. While secondary data is data obtained from agencies, such as Ambon Island road maps, including field observations, interviews, and literature searches, and analysis using the 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual Method. This research determines the appropriate thickness of flexible pavement layers to facilitate inter-regional connectivity and increase local economic potential. The results of the analysis show that the thickness of the asphalt layer is adjusted to the Road Asphalt Plan Manual No.02/M/BM/2017 and the thickness of the flexible pavement layer on the Laha Village - Negeri Lima Village connecting road section along 3000 m is obtained AC WC 4 cm, AC BC 6 cm, AC BASE 7 m, and LFA Class A 30 cm. While the cumulative value of the standard load with a planning length of 3000 m and a width of 6 m is obtained in total 3,252,548 and an average CBR value of 8.17%.

Abstract

Waitunsa Bridge is located in Siwalalat subdistrict, Eastern Seram Regency Siwalalat Seram Regency, Laimu Werinama Road Section with a Stretch Length of 300 M and a Width of 9 M. During the project implementation, the foundation work on the bridge was piling, where the planned piles that went into the ground were 1150 KN, but when tested using the Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) Test, it had exceeded the planned limit, the piles that entered the ground were more than 3000 KN. The aim of this research is to analyze the bearing capacity value of a single pile foundation using analytical methods on the Wai Tunsa bridge, East Seram and to obtain a comparison of the calculation results using the analytical method and the results of the Pile Driving Analyzer test on the foundation of the Wai Tunsa bridge, Seram. East. In writing the methods used to analyze the bearing capacity of piles are the Meyerhoff method, Tomlinson method, as well as the reduction in pile foundations and well foundations is the Meyerhof method. The results of calculations carried out at 3 points, namely Abutment 1 (A1), Pier 1 (P1), and Abutment 2 (A2) on the Waitunsa Bridge work, Siwalalat subdistrict, East Seram Regency, from the results of manual analysis, it can be concluded that the Tomlinson method has good value. is closer than the Mayerhoff method to the PDA Test. Qu = 402.89 tons compared to 336 - 388 tons at A1, Qu = 384.74 tons compared to 373 – 389 tons at P1, and Qu = 397.57 tons compared to 347 – 389 tons.

Abstract

The Lokki – Iha Kulur Road Section is the main transportation route that connects villages in Huamual District, West Seram District. This area often experiences inundation and runoff caused by drainage that cannot accommodate flood discharge and improper drainage elevation systems. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to review the drainage system. The research method used is the method of data collection and analysis. The data used are primary data and secondary data and then analyzed using rational methods based on hydrological analysis and hydraulics analysis and evaluated based on the magnitude of the discharge of the existing canal with the magnitude of the planned discharge. Based on the calculation results for a 5-year return period, a planned rainfall of 632.812 mm is obtained, with a population growth percentage of 1.2% per year so the population of Luhu Village in 2026 is 34,251 people. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the amount of planned discharge entering the Lokki – Iha Kulur Road drainage was 0.15038 m3/s for drainage 1 and 0.14377 m3/s for drainage 2. Meanwhile, the discharge for the Lokki – Iha Kulur Road drainage for drainage 1 is 0.14229 m3/sec and for the drainage 2 is  0.14377 m3/sec. So it was found that the drainage was not able to accommodate the planned flood discharge so it was necessary to re-plan the drainage dimensions so that the problems of inundation and runoff could be overcome.

Abstract

Syaranamual street is situated in Poka Village, Ambon . It is one of the provincial roads affected by landslides due to its location near a fairly high slope/cliff, precisely at Batu Koneng  Fruit Market, Poka Village. The landslide disaster that occurred was due to the influence of bad weather in the form of high-intensity rain accompanied by strong winds that hit Ambon city, so a solution was needed in the form of planning the construction of a retaining wall. The research aims to plan the dimensions of the retaining wall and analyze and determine the safety factor for the stability of the retaining wall in the landslide area on Jl. Syaranamual, Poka Village, Ambon . The method used in this study is by using theory and also empirical formulas according to Rankine about active earth pressure and passive earth pressure on retaining walls and the Terzaghi method regarding soil bearing capacity. The study results show that the planned retaining wall is a gravity retaining wall with height (H) = 4 m, bottom width (B) = 2.4 m, top width (T) = 0.3 m, and Df = 0.5 m. The safety factor obtained from the calculation results is that the wall is stable against the shear force with a value of 2.2 > 1.5 (Safe), the wall is stable against the overturning force with a value of 2.03 > 1.5 (Safe), and the safety factor for the stability of the retaining wall obtained is 3 (Safe).
