Abstract

Penggunaan light trap sebagai upaya mengurangi penggunaan pestisida sintetik dalam pengendalian hama yang ramah lingkungan merupakan usaha altematif yang lebih efektif dalam mengendalikan populasi dan penyebaran serangga hama. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pembinaan secara berkala kepada kelompok tani Desa Carawali terkait pengaplikasian light trap di lapangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini meliputi dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Maret 2023 di desa Carawali, Kec. Watang Pulu, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Kegiatan meliputi: a.) Obeservasi dan survei lokasi; b) Sosialisasi; c) Pelaksanaan pendampingan; d) Pengamatan, serta e) Monitoring dan Evaluasi. Hasil pengamatan tangkapan alat perangkap hama light trap berbasis energi surya yang telah dipasang pada lahan sawah petani memperlihatkan hasil tangkapan yang cukup banyak dan  setelah minggu ke-4 populasi hama serangga di areal penanaman padi makin berkurang. pemanfaatan light trap berbasis energi surya merupakan solusi yang efektif untuk mengurangi penggunaan pestisida pada lahan sawah. Penggunaan light trap membantu mengurangi jumlah hama yang masuk ke lahan sawah tanpa mengandalkan pestisida. Kata kunci: Energi surya, light trap, pestisida, sawah. ABSTRACT The use of light traps as an effort to reduce the use of synthetic pesticides in environmentally friendly pest control is a more effective alternative in controlling the population and spread of insect pests. This activity aims to provide regular assistance and guidance to Carawali Village farmer groups regarding the application of light traps in the field. This community service activity includes being held in January - March 2023 in the village of Carawali, Kec. Watang Pulu, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Activities include: a.) Observation and site surveys; b) Socialization; c) Implementation of assistance; d) Observation, and e) Monitoring and Evaluation. The results of observing the catch of solar energy-based light traps that have been installed in farmers' paddy fields show quite a lot of catches and after the 4th week the population of insect pests in the rice planting area decreases. the use of solar energy-based light traps is an effective solution to reduce the use of pesticides in paddy fields. The use of light traps helps reduce the number of pests that enter paddy fields without relying on pesticides. Keywords: Solar cell, light traps, pesticide, ricefield.

Abstract

Cabai besar (Capsicum annuum L.) merupakan salah satu produk sayuran yang disukai masyarakat luas. Salah satu jenis sayuran yang rasanya pedas dan mengandung nutrisi yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh tubuh. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2023 di Kelurahan Benteng, Kecamatan Patampanua, Kabupaten Pinrang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali, sehingga diperoleh dari penelitian ini sebanyak 24 unit satuan percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 3 unit sampel tanaman terdapat 72 unit. Perlakuan P0= Tanpa perlakuan, P1= 20 ml/liter air, P2= 25 ml/liter air, P3= 30 ml/liter air, P4= 35 ml/liter air, dan P5= 40 ml/liter air. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair tulang ikan bandeng memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun dengan dosis terbaik P4 35 ml/liter air

Abstract

Background: This activity aims to increase the role of Bumdes Padaidi Sipodeceng through e-commerce information technology based on the Bumdes Sipodeceng Store application in improving the economy of the people of Sipodeceng Village. Contribution: This activity improves the welfare of the people of Sipodeceng Village through e-commerce information technology. Method: The method of this activity includes Socialization of the implementation of activities, Counseling by explaining the e-commerce information technology marketing model (BUMDES Sipodeceng Store), training and mentoring the use of information technology for BUMDES partner groups, carrying out assistance, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Results: Training and mentoring activities based on pre-test and post-test data analysis have positive implications for 3 parameters: knowledge from 42.14 to 89.14%, skills from 35.9% to 90.12%, and motivation from 63.2% to 93 .2%. From these data, an analysis of the effectiveness of these 3 parameters is carried out, the values of which are knowledge at 81%, skills at 85%, and motivation at 79%. These three numbers indicate that community service activities are effective because the value is above 50%. Conclusion: From these activities, it can be concluded that e-commerce information technology at BUMDES Padaidi Sipodeceng is still very much needed to increase the role of BUMDES in community empowerment.

Abstract

One way to get rice that can adapt to drought stress is by providing drought tolerance in the germination phase through seed invigoration with the “Seed Priming” method. The study aimed to determine the level of adaptation and the response of growth and production of PEG-primed rice under drought-stress conditions.  The research was conducted in two stages. Phase I was in the form of rice seed priming in PEG 6000 solution arranged in a Randomized Group Design (RAK), consisting of 5 treatments, namely treatment without priming as control, PEG priming 0 gL-1, 50 gL-1, 100 gL-1, and 150 gL-1 with the length of seed priming for 36 hours. Phase II was a priming test of production levels in the field from the selected treatments in Phase I. The data were then statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that priming treatment using PEG 6000 for 36 hours with a concentration of 100 gL-1 gave the best results on vegetative growth (93% germination, seedling height 28, 27 cm, leaf length 19.11 cm, number of leaves 4 cm, and root length 4.08 cm). This concentration also gave the best results on generative growth (number of productive tillers 12, and grain weight 31.71 per clump), and increased the adaptation of paddy rice to drought stress conditions.

Abstract

Selama masa pandemi Covid-19, adanya kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengurangi aktivitas masyarakat di luar rumah terutama pada tempat-tempat keramaian salah satunya pasar mengakibatkan keterbatasan akses masyarakat terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan rumah tangga mereka terutama kebutuhan akan sayuran. Untuk mengantisipasi masalah ketersediaan pangan khusunya pemenuhan akan kebutuhan sayuran tersebut maka pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan rumah untuk menghasilkan bahan pangan dapat diterapkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan pangan masyarakat. Untuk itu tim pengabdian tertarik memberikan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam mendukung masyarakat yang memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan demi menunjang ketersediaan pangan selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di desa binaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang yaitu di Desa Carawali, Kecamatan Watang Pulu, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Kegiatan pendampingan ini terdiri dari kegiatan sosialisasi, pembinaan, demonstrasi dan pendampingan pemanfaatan pekarangan, sehingga peserta dapat memahami materi dengan baik. Kegiatan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan untuk menunjang ketersediaan pangan warga di Desa Carawali, Kecamatan Watang Pulu menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan termasuk dalam kriteria efektif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan persentase skor jawaban responden dalam mengukur variabel efektivitas kegiatan yang disajikan melalui serangkaian pertanyaan dalam bentuk kuisioner berada pada rentan nilai antara 50 hingga 100%.

Abstract

The relationship between watersheds (DAS) and rice fields, namely watersheds is a shallow water area whose topography is dominated by mountains, mountain ridges that collect and store rainwater before being released to rice fields through the main river. This study aims to identify GIS based technical and non-technical rice fields, and analyze the characteristics of technical and non-technical rice fields from various aspects. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach method based on geographic information systems (GIS). Interpretation of sentinel 2A image data was then digitized onscreen to produce a map of rice fields. Then to identify technical and non-technical rice fields, onscreen digitization was carried out with the help of interviews with related agencies. Characteristic analysis was carried out by overlaying slope slope maps, elevation and soil types to identify the biophysical characteristics of the land, while economic characteristics and management were carried out by interview method. The total area of rice fields in the Bila Sub-Watershed is 5842.35 ha. Non-technical rice fields have an area of 2777.97 ha and technical 3064.38 ha. Non-Technical Rice Fields which dominate at a flat slope of 0-8% covering an area of 1637.05 ha (28.02%). Likewise, technical rice fields with a flat slope of 0-8% cover an area of 2393.76 ha (40.97%). Non-technical rice fields dominate at an altitude of 0-500 above sea level (with an area of 2643.66 ha (45.25%). Likewise, technical rice fields 0-500 above sea level, with an area of 3061.55 ha (52.4%). Non-technical rice fields have dystropepts soil types 527.73 ha 9.03%, 1.09 (ha) 0.02% Eutropepts, 1280.05 (ha) 21.91% Paleudults, tropaquepts 104.36 (ha) 1.79%,272.99 (ha) 4.67% Tropudalfs, 591.73 (ha) 10.1% Tropudults. Technical with an area of 1078.16 ha 18.48% Paleudults and 1986.22 ha 34% Tropaquepts. Planting is carried out 2 times a year, both technical and non-technical rice fields. For the provision of water to non-technical rice fields, it only relies on rainwater for rice field needs. Meanwhile, technical rice fields rely on water from irrigation networks, pipes and pumping machines as auxiliary tools.

Abstract

The use of rice fields as non-agricultural land if allowed to continue, it is not impossible that agricultural land will become increasingly narrow, agricultural production will decline in the long term and Indonesia will experience a food deficit, so it is important to predict rice fields so that it becomes a consideration for the government and other related agencies in determining policies regarding land use planning in an area to support land resource management and sustainable regional development planning. This study aims to analyze the driving factors of rice field changes based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and to determine the projection of rice field changes using the Ca-Markov 2036 model. This study is based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, organize and display all types of geographic data. The process of processing driving factors data starts from the weighting classification process, fuzzy analysis to produce output that is a reference for the CA-Markov process. Ca-Markov Method Using Idrisi Selva. from the results of the study of Land Use Changes in 2024-2036 in the downstream area of ​​the Bila watershed, it shows that the land changes that increased on the land were Rice Fields covering an area of ​​975,247 ha, Plantations covering an area of ​​594,523, Settlements covering an area of ​​1641,144 ha, while the land that experienced a significant decrease in area in land use in the downstream area of ​​the Bila watershed was Forest covering an area of ​​125,623 ha, Vacant Land covering an area of ​​103,991 ha, Tegalang Fields covering an area of ​​1809,481 ha, Shrubs covering an area of ​​594,523 ha.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah youth have an excellent opportunity to be involved transforming of young agropreneurs in the agricultural sector by utilizing land assets. The purpose of this study is to explore the interest of Muhammadiyah youth in transforming into young agropreneurs in Sidenreng Rappang Regency using the Theory of Planned Behavior to analyze the influence of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on intentions and behavior. Research methods include purposive sampling, observation, interviews, and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with 100 respondents. The results showed that attitude directly and significantly influences behavior, while subjective norms and perceived behavioral control influence behavior through intention. The findings suggest that increasing positive attitudes and strengthening subjective norms are essential for forming solid intentions, increasing participation in agropreneurship. This research provides important insights for designing training programs and policies that support Muhammadiyah youth interest in the agricultural sector, which impacts the economic productivity and welfare of Muhammadiyah cadres in Sidenreng Rappang District.

Abstract

Perubahan penutupan dan penggunaan lahan adalah salah satu langkah dalam mengontrol lingkungan dan ekosistem yang didalamnya termasuk aktivitas manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeteksi perubahan tutupan lahan tahun 1998 dan tahun 2018 dengan menggunakan data penginderaan jauh dan sistem informasi geografis (GIS). Citra satelit yang digunakan yaitu citra Landsat 5 untuk tahun 1998 dan citra Landsat 8 untuk tahun 2018. Untuk pembagian kelas klasifikasi dibuat berdasarkan kondisi (data) penutupan lahan sebenarnya di lapangan dan dibatasi menurut kebutuhan pengklasifikasian. Untuk mendapatkan hasil klasifikasi yang baik, peta penutupan lahan tahun 2018 dilakukan pengujian akurasi (accuracy assessment). Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis spasial menggunakan GIS (Geographic Information System) dengan metode overlay. Output analisis spasial dan data yang diperoleh perubahan penutupan lahan tahun 1998 dan tahun 2019. Pada rentang waktu 20 tahun yakni pada tahun 1998 sampai pada tahun 2018 terjadi penurunan atau pengurangan luas sebesar 1.062,33 ha (7,05%) pada hutan primer sedangkan hutan lahan sekunder mengalami peningkatan luas sebesar 609,62 ha (4,04%), peningkatan luas juga terjadi pada pertanian lahan kering campuran sebesar 275,7 ha (1,83%), semak belukar bertambah luas sebesar 45,4 ha (0,3%) dan tanah terbuka bertambah luasan sebesar 131,61 ha (0,87%).

Abstract

Padi (Oryza sativa L.) adalah tanaman utama yang sangat banyak dikembangkan dalam kemajuan manusia. Sejak zaman prasejarah, padi sudah dikenal sebagai tanaman pokok. Indonesia yang beriklim tropis, padi ditanam di seluruh daerah dataran rendah sampai dataran tinggi. Penyakit Tungro merupakan salah satu ancaman bagi tanaman padi. Serangan penyakit tungro dapat menyebabkan kerugian yang sangat serius. Kegiatan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 3 perlakuan yaitu kontrol, media tanah dan arang sekam dan 3 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri atas 10 unit tanaman sehingga terdapat 90 sampel tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan tanaman yang tanpa inokulasi dan yang diinokulasikan wereng hijau pada media tanam arang sekam lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada media tanah dan pada kedua perlakuan media tanam menunjukkan kriteria ketahanan yang sama terhadap penyakit tungro yaitu agak rentan.
