Abstract

The goal of this research is to ascertain how liquidity, business size, free cash flow, institutional ownership, and profitability affect the dividend policies of companies operating in different industries. Financial reports from several industrial enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2019 and 2023 served as the study's secondary source of data. Every company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange across a range of industries is included in this study. Purposive sampling was used to test nine businesses. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the data. The SPSS 21 software was used for the processing. The study demonstrates that institutional ownership and profitability are two elements that affect corporate dividend policy. On the other hand, size, liquidity, and free cash flow have no bearing on the dividend policies of businesses in the miscellaneous industries sector.

Abstract

The problem of partners in this community service activity is the lack of knowledge of members of Confederation of Prosperous Trade Union of Indonesia of Riau Province on protection of contract labor rights based on Law Number 13 of 2003 about Employment. The solutions offered in the public service activities are the improvement of K-SBSI members' knowledge of Riau province on the protection of the rights of labor contracts based on Law Number 13 of 2003 about Employment. The method of implementation of community service activities is by using lecture, dialogue, and discussion methods in order to provide legal counseling to partners. Participation of partners in community service activities is to provide time, provide a place with other supporting facilities, and present the community as participants of legal counseling. Output targets of community service activities are the publication of scientific articles in legal journals. The conclusion is that the community service has been successfully implemented and the benefits can be felt directly by the participants, which is to increase the knowledge of K-SBSI members of Riau Province regarding the protection of contract labor rights based on Law Number 13 of 2003 about Employment. This can be seen from the answers of the participants in the questionnaire given after the implementation of the activity. Of the 16 participants, 87.5% said they understood it.

Abstract

When the policy holder or insurance participant or the insured experiences a disaster or suffers a loss or damage as stated in the contract, the insured has the right to file an insurance claim. The recipient of this insurance is not only the insured whose name is listed as the policy holder of the insurance company but can also be another person appointed directly by the insured. The formulation of the problem in this study is the Default in the Life Insurance Policy between the Insurer and the Insured, howSettlement of Defaults in Life Insurance Policies Between the Insurer and the Insured and What are the Legal Consequences for Settlement of Defaults in a Life Insurance Policy between the Insurer and the Insured. The purpose of this research is to analyze Default in a Life Insurance Policy between the Insurer and the Insured, To Analyze Settlement of Defaults in Life Insurance Policies Between the Insurer and the Insured To Analyze Legal Consequences Settlement of Defaults in Life Insurance Policies Between the Insurer and the Insured.This research method is normative legal research. The conclusions in this study have answered the problems that arise, namely:Default in a Life Insurance Policy between the Insurer and the Insured that a life insurance agreement is made between the policy holder and the insurer, with the consequence that the policy holder pays the premium and the insurer provides risk protection to the policy holder and/or the insured within a certain time as stipulated in the agreement. Default can be done by the policyholder, one of which is by not paying life insurance premiums until the grace period ends.Settlement of Defaults in Life Insurance Policies Between the Insurer and the Insured that The insurer and the insured binding themselves in the insurance agreement must be in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, which are contained in Article 1338 Paragraph (1) of the Civil Code. This provision states that when the agreement has been agreed by both parties, then the agreement will apply as a law that will bind the parties therein. Because of lawSettlement of Defaults in Life Insurance Policies Between the Insurer and the Insured that if the premium is not paid by the policyholder, the life insurance agreement can be canceled by law and the policy will be canceled or called lapsed, namely the termination of insurance coverage as a result of not paying premiums until the insurance contract period ends and the premiums that have been paid will not be returned.

Abstract

Maraknya penggunaan apikasi digital di smartphone, selain memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat, ternyata juga dapat membahayakan keamanan data pribadi masyarakat yang mengaksesnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu tanggal 10 Desember 2023 jam 16.00 WIB sampai dengan selesai bertempat di rumah salah seorang warga Kelurahan Delima Kota Pekanbaru. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah penyuluhan hukum menggunakan metode ceramah dan dialog dengan para peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat Kelurahan Delima yang mencapai angka 88% (delapan puluh delapan perseratus) dari 5 (lima) pertanyaan yang diajukan dalam kuisioner. Sementara itu, sebelum adanya pengabdian kepada masyarakat, hanya 25% (dua puluh lima perseratus) saja para peserta yang menjawab dengan benar pertanyaan yang diajukan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai perlindungan hukum terhadap data pribadi dalam apnlikasi digital sebaiknya rutin diadakan untuk masyarakat umum yang kurang memahami hukum.

Abstract

This research aims to test and analyze the influence of dividend policy, profitability and leverage on stock prices. The research uses 2018-2022 non-cyclical companies listed on the IDX as the population. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique so that 45 samples were selected that met the criteria. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis test. The research results show that the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) has no effect on stock prices, while Return on Equity (ROE) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) have an effect on stock prices.

Abstract

Abstract

Earnings management is an approach applied by management to influence the profit figures reported by the company, by choosing certain accounting methods or taking special steps. The results of these actions influence stakeholders in making economic decisions. Testing and analysis in this research uses the variables profitability, leverage, sales growth and board of directors meetings on earnings management. This research uses a purposive sampling method to select samples that comply with predetermined criteria. This research used 192 samples consisting of 32 companies in the primary consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a research period from 2018 to 2023. This research uses secondary data taken from financial reports. The analytical method applied is multiple linear regression. The research results show that sales growth has an influence on earnings management. Meanwhile, profitability, leverage and board of directors meetings have no effect on earnings management.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada kelompok pengajian Ibu - Ibu Desa Jagalan Pabelan Kartasura terkait dengan pemilihan emas sebagai instrumen investasi jangka panjang yang stabil dengan nilai intrinsik tinggi di tengah ketidakpastian ekonomi. Kegiatan ini memfokuskan pada konteks ekonomi yang rentan terhadap fluktuasi, inflasi, dan gejolak pasar global, dimana emas dipandang sebagai aset lindung nilai (safe haven) yang dapat menjaga daya beli dan kestabilan keuangan rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi aktif. Hasil surveysebelum dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman ibu-ibu di Desa Jagalan Pabelan Kartasura terhadap emas sebagai investasi masih terbatas pada fungsi tabungan tradisional. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa masih terdapat potensi besar untuk meningkatkan literasi investasi melalui pendekatan berbasis komunitas. Emas dinilai memberikan rasa aman, mudah diakses, harga relatif terjangkau karena bisa disesuiakan dengan kemampuan serta fleksibel dalam likuiditas. Hal ini bisa menjadi alternatif investasi jangka panjang guna meningkatkan level kesehatan keuangan keluarga. Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan pentingnya edukasi finansial yang lebih sistematis dan berbasis lokal guna memperkuat peran emas sebagai bagian dari perencanaan keuangan keluarga. Abstract The purpose of this community service activity is to educate the women's religious study group in Jagalan Pabelan Village, Kartasura, regarding the selection of gold as a stable long-term investment instrument with high intrinsic value amidst economic uncertainty. This activity focuses on an economic context that is vulnerable to fluctuations, inflation, and global market turmoil, where gold is seen as a safe haven asset that can maintain purchasing power and household financial stability. The methods used are lectures and active discussions. The results of a survey before the community service activity were carried out showed that the understanding of gold as an investment among women in Jagalan Pabelan Village, Kartasura, was still limited to its traditional savings function. This indicates that there is still great potential to improve investment literacy through a community-based approach. Gold is considered to provide a sense of security, is easily accessible, relatively affordable because it can be adjusted to ability and flexible in liquidity. This can be an alternative long-term investment to improve the level of family financial health. This activity recommends the importance of more systematic and locally based financial education to strengthen the role of gold as part of family financial planning. Abstract

This study provides an overview of how the Field Trip learning method can be used in school geography by utilizing natural and artificial laboratories. Geography education includes various components, including the lithosphere, anthroposphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and atmosphere. One effective method to enhance learning is to utilize the environment as a resource through fieldwork, where students engage in direct observation and investigation outside the classroom. The research method uses a qualitative approach with literature studies and bibliographic analysis. The findings show that natural and artificial environments can support fieldwork-based learning, including (1) studying the distribution of flora and fauna in urban forests, (2) understanding natural disasters through visits to the Tsunami Museum, (3) applying remote sensing techniques by exploring hilly landscapes, and (4) utilizing university laboratories for Geographic Information Systems. The fieldwork method encourages interactive learning between teachers and students and peer involvement, creating a fun yet focused learning experience. In addition, incorporating the environment as a learning resource enhances students' critical thinking, encourages active participation, and fosters a scientific mindset. Students gain deeper geographical insights through this approach while developing important analytical and observation skill

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengoperasikan Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) sebagai penunjang dalam menyiapkan pembelajaran dan tugas-tugas administrasi lainnya.  Metode pengabdian ini meliputi kegiatan sosialisasi dan kordinasi, kegiatan pelatihan serta monitoring. Hasil pelatihan ini guru-guru mampu mengoperasikan Microsoft Office Word berupa membuat dan merapikan paragraf, membuat tabel, insert gambar, penggunaan toolbar numbering, font, dan lain-lain serta menyimpan dokumen yang telah dikerjakan. Microsoft Excel berupa mengatur dan memformat data, lembar kerja perhitungan dasar (penjumlahan, perkalian, pembagian) serta memvisualisasikan data ke dalam bentuk grafik atau diagram. Serta Microsoft Power Point berupa membuat media presentasi yang menarik dengan menggunakan beberapa slide. Meski pada saat pelatihan berlangsung masih ada yang terbilang lambat dalam menyelesaikan tugasnya dalam mengoperasikan Microsoft Office.
