Abstract

Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa dalam memahami dan guru dalam mengajarkan pelajaran matematika materi kekongruenan dan kesebangunan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan  dan materi kesebangunan yang valid, praktis, efektif. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari validasi media video pembelajaran skoring kelayakan bernilai 4,1;  kepraktisan bernilai 84,6 berarti “setuju” dengan pengembangan media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan dan kesebangunan; efektif digunakan dimana keefektifan ini berdasarkan proses pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan dapat berjalan dengan efektif, dimana respon siswa positif, serta aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran efektif, dan hasil nilai tes belajar siswa memenuhi batas ketuntasan di kelas. Melalui media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan  dan materi kesebangunan siswa lebih memahami materi matematika dan mendapatkan nuansa baru serta guru lebih mudah menerangkan materi matematika.

Abstract

This article discusses the comparison of trends in mathematics education research in Indonesia and Australia. There are significant differences in research approaches, research focuses, and issues addressed in both countries. Mathematics education research in Indonesia often focuses on improving teacher capabilities, the use of technology in mathematics learning, and the influence of teaching approaches on mathematics learning outcomes. In Australia, research also involves studying mathematics curriculum, effective teaching strategies, inclusion issues in mathematics learning, and the use of technology in teaching. The research approaches also differ, with Indonesia tending to use quantitative approaches and Australia using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. This article provides valuable insights for the development of mathematics education in both countries. By learning from and sharing experiences with each other, both countries can leverage their strengths to enhance the quality of mathematics education at the national level.

Abstract

The goals of this study are to (1) explain the trend of mathematics education research in Indonesia; (2) explain the trend of mathematics education research in Finland; and (3) compare research trends in mathematics education in Indonesia and Finland. The approach employed is a literature review, with the literature sources reviewed being journal articles, proceeding papers, books, and other publications linked to the trend of mathematics education research in Indonesia and Finland from 2019 to 2023 using the PoP (Publish or Perish) 8th edition. According to the findings of this study, the trend of educational research in Indonesia and Finland is dominated by educational research utilizing technology in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train teachers in Serdang village, Beringin sub-district in designing innovative teaching modules according to the demands of the independent curriculum, which will be implemented in October-November 2023 with partners as the principal of SD Negeri 101917 and the head of Serdang village, Beringin sub-district, Deli district. Serdang. The location of the activity was held at the Serdang Village meeting office with a capacity of 80 participants. The results of the activities obtained from observations show that the overall achievement of the goals that have been set appears to be in the "very good" category because the indicator value (I) = 4.603 ≥ which means that the activity implementation process has been carried out well. From the evaluation results of PkM activities, it can also be seen that there is a decrease from the evaluation results during PkM activities to the evaluation results after PkM activities, namely from an average of 90.86% down to an average of 89.79%. From the results of the total average of medium completion and high completion, it shows that the motivation of training participants in developing innovative learning processes, designing innovative learning programs according to the demands of the independent curriculum, innovating teaching modules based on innovative learning models, and becoming professional teachers according to the demands of the independent curriculum has increased.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) aims to build a sustainable and creative learning environment at SMA Swasta Yapim Taruna Stabat. This program was motivated by the lack of students' creative activities and the dominance of gadget use that inhibits social interaction and innovation in learning. This PKM activity involves various programs, such as entrepreneurship, gadget-free days in class, library cleanliness, and reading corners (literacy corners). The PKM implementation method includes initial observation, preparation of work programs, and implementation of various activities that last for one month. The results of this activity show an increase in student creativity in utilizing available resources, increased awareness of the cleanliness of the school environment, and increased social interaction through literacy and entrepreneurial activities. In conclusion, this PKM activity succeeded in having a positive impact on the learning environment at SMA Swasta Yapim Taruna Stabat. Suggestions for the sustainability of this program are the need for further monitoring and mentoring so that the results achieved can continue to grow and provide long-term benefits for students and schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of differentiated learning processes on the social mathematical skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 18 Medan. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with the research population being all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 18 Medan. With a simple random sampling technique, a sample of class VIII-10 was obtained with 32 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and observations that had been tested for prerequisites in advance. After the differentiated learning process treatment was carried out, the results of the calculation of the learning quality questionnaire sheet reached an effectiveness category of 56% (moderate), the results of the calculation of the social skills questionnaire sheet reached an effectiveness category of 66% (moderate), the results of the calculation of the observation sheet for the suitability of the learning level to teacher activities obtained an average of 3.476 (good), the results of the calculation of the observation sheet on student activities obtained an average of 3.039 (good), the results of the calculation of the time allocation observation sheet obtained an average of 4 (good). Based on the quality of learning, the suitability of the learning level and time allocation, differentiated learning is effective for the social mathematical skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 18 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia Edpuzzle terhadap kepercayaan diri dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII pada materi statistika di SMP Negeri 18 Medan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu tipe one-shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 18 Medan T.A 2024/2025. Dengan teknik probability sampling, sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII-9 dan VIII-10. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket serta soal tes bentuk uraian yang telah dilakukan uji validasi instrumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1)ada pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia Edpuzzle terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa pada materi statistika (0,000<0,005), 2)ada pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia Edpuzzle terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi statistika (0,000<0,05), 3)ada pengaruh signifikan kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi statistika (0,000<0,05), 4)tidak ada pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia  Edpuzzle terhadap hasil belajar siswa melalui kepercayaan diri pada materi statistika (0,720>0,1782, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri tidak berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara pembelajaran matematika berbasis multimedia Edpuzzle dengan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Inkuiri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi SPLDV di kelas VIII SMP Swasta Bangun Mulia Pangkalan Berandan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen tes dan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP SMP Swasta Bangun Mulia Pangkalan Berandan 2024/2025. Sampel Penelitian diambil 25% dari populasi yaitu sebanyak 40 siswa. Analisis ini menggukan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan metode inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar kognitif pada materi SPLDV di kelas VIII. Besarnya pengaruh dengan metode inkuiri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan sebesar 15% dengan kategori sedang. Pembelajaran dengan metode inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dikategorikan sedang.

Abstract

Mathematics is a universal science that is useful for human life and also underpins the development of modern technology. In general, students find it difficult to learn mathematics due to its abstract nature, which leads to low learning interest. Therefore, contextual learning that is closely related to their daily lives is needed, one of which is ethnomathematics learning. Ethnomathematics learning is integrated with educational games to further increase the appeal of mathematics learning. This study aims to measure the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed educational game. The research uses the 4D model, which includes define, design, development, and disseminate stages. The practicality test was conducted by distributing questionnaires to teachers and students. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test was carried out by giving questionnaires to observers and reviewing students' learning outcomes. The results showed that the developed media was highly valid, with a percentage of 86.7% for the material and 94% for the media; very practical, with teacher and student response percentages of 94.7% and 86.2% respectively; and effective, with an observation result percentage of 91.7%. The learning outcome test showed that 74.28% of students met the Minimum Mastery Criteria. Therefore, the Lagia traditional musical instrument-based educational game is suitable for use in mathematics learning
