Abstract

Student sports achievements in schools they are affected by factors such as physical condition., technical skills, and training programs. Male volleyball athletes in the extracurricular program at Bengkulu City Vocational School face a significant challenge: low jump height, which affects their ability to perform smash and block techniques effectively. This issue is linked to insufficient specialized training, weak explosive power in leg muscles, and a lack of motivation during practice. The objective of this research is to assess the impact of knee tuck jump variation training on jump height among these athletes. The research employs an experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. From a population of 30 athletes, 23 were selected through purposive sampling. The vertical jump test was used as the primary instrument, and hypothesis testing was conducted for data analysis. Results show a significant improvement in jump height following the training. The calculated t-value (27.371) exceeded the critical t-value (1.712) at a significance level of α = 0.05, with a 19.47% increase in jump height. These findings confirm the hypothesis, indicating that knee tuck jump variation training effectively enhances jump height among the athletes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a forehand drive training model in table tennis, specifically designed for juvenile inmates at the Bengkulu Special Penitentiary for Children. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The study population consisted of juvenile inmates in correctional institutions, with a simple random sampling technique. Research instruments include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The validation results from experts showed a high level of approval: material experts at 94%, language experts at 90%, and media experts at 92%. The small group trial involving 10 juvenile inmates resulted in an average approval rating of 86%, while the large group trial with 30 participants resulted in an average approval rating of 90%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Table Tennis Forehand Drive Training Model developed for juvenile inmates at the Bengkulu Special Penitentiary for Children is "Highly Feasible" to be implemented as a new training model at the institution.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess how the bouncing ball training approach affects the bottom passing skills of students engaged in volleyball extracurricular activities at junior high school state 1 Pasemah Air Keruh. The research design follows a one-group pretest-posttest format, which does not involve a comparison group. The participants of this study comprised all students who actively chose to engage in this research until its conclusion, with a total of 16 children involved in volleyball extracurricular activities. The tools for this study consisted of tests and assessments based on the Brady method. The findings indicated that the bouncing ball training method positively influenced down-passing skills. When testing the hypothesis, the computed t value was 12.5, which exceeds the t table value of 1.746. This result leads to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, signifying a notable advancement in bottom passing ability as a result of the bouncing ball training method.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to determine the extent to which the part and whole approach helps Physical Education students at Bengkulu University in memorizing the series of movements of Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat (SAIH). Students often experience difficulties in memorizing and practicing rhythmic gymnastics movements due to the complexity and accuracy required in the routine. This research utilized a qualitative approach by conducting a comprehensive assessment of various academic publications and previous studies. Students demonstrated better understanding and retention of the routines when taught using the Part and Whole approach. This technique involves breaking down movements into component parts and then recombining them into a whole. This strategy has been shown to improve motor skills, movement accuracy, and speed of adaptation, according to previous research conducted by experts. As a result, the part and whole approach is considered a highly effective method for teaching rhythmic gymnastics as it provides a sustainable framework for improving memorization skills in physical education.
