Abstract

The success in achieving agricultural development is determined by quality human resources and a commitment to developing the agricultural sector. Millennial farmers are farmers aged 19-39 years and/or adaptive to digital technology. However, it is known that Indonesian agriculture is facing the aging farmer phenomenon where the number of young farmers is decreasing, while the number of farmers over 55 years old is increasing. This study aims to describe and analyze internal factors, namely the strengths and weaknesses of millennial farmers in Ciamis District, as well as to describe and analyze external factors, namely the opportunities and threats faced by millennial farmers, and to determine priority strategies for increasing the capacity of millennial farmers in Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency. This research method uses a case study with a discussion conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner. The respondent determination technique is carried out purposively or intentionally with certain considerations. This research was conducted in Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency. The analysis tool used is a SWOT analysis which includes Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats and a Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. The internal environment which is the main strength is the ability of cultivation techniques that have been tested through farmer training activities with a score of 0.412, while the main weakness factor is that millennial farmers have not been able to access capital and there has been no cooperation with institutions providing agricultural production inputs with a score of 0.120. The external environment which is the main opportunity is the ease of access to communication between millennial farmers and extension workers and Plant Pest Control (POPT) officers with a score of 0.372, while the main threat is the short shelf life of agricultural products with a score of 0.342. Alternative strategies that are a priority based on the QSPM analysis are the formation and development of farmer cooperatives or Agribusiness Microfinance Institutions (LKM-A) in the Ciamis District area with a score of 6.520.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused some food businesses to experience a decline in sales; where the pandemic occurred, and the enactment of the lockdown rules made a business suffer losses. However, it is different from the "Puja Rasa" tempe chip craftsmanship business, which during the Covid-19 pandemic, experienced an increase in sales volume in 2021. This study aimed to determine how the marketing mix influences the sales volume of "Puja Rasa" tempe chips so that the business can survive and experience an increase in the sales volume of tempeh chips. The research uses a quantitative approach with interviews and documentation methods. The research sample was 80 respondents and consumers of Tempe chips "Puja Rasa" using a random sampling technique and an analytical model using multiple linear regression. The results in this study indicate that the marketing mix consisting of products, prices, promotions, distribution channels, people, processes, and physical facilities has an effect on the sales volume of tempe chips at the tempe chips craftsmen "Puja Rasa" and the marketing mix that has the most influence on the sales volume of chips tempe in the tempeh chip SMEs "Puja Rasa" is the price.

Abstract

Coconut palm is a plantation commodity with high economic value; almost all parts can be utilized. One of them is coconut sap. Coconut sap is a clear liquid with a sweet taste produced from coconut flower bunches. If sold in raw form, coconut sap has a price of Rp. 350.00/kg, while if it is processed into coconut sugar products, it has a price of Rp. 12,000/Kg. Therefore, coconut sugar maker processes the sap to produce added value. This study aims to determine how much-added value and profit is generated in the coconut sugar agro-industry in Ciparakan Village, Kalipucang District, Pangandaran Regency. The method used is the case study method. The data analysis used is added value analysis. The results of this study indicate that the coconut sugar agro-industry in Ciparakan Village, Kalipucang District, Pangandaran Regency, can provide an added value of IDR 1,323 per kg of sap with an added value ratio of 69.02% which is included in a high added value ratio. The profit earned is IDR 1,073 per kg with a conversion factor 0.17.

Abstract

Ramadan is not only a spiritual time for Muslims but also a significant economic period, especially for MSMEs. During this holy month, consumer demand increases significantly due to preparations for celebrations and social activities. This research aims to examine effective social media communication strategies to expand the market reach of MSMEs during Ramadan season. The methodology employed in this study is a literature review with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis. Google Scholar is utilized as the primary data source, covering the years 2014 to 2023. The study findings indicate that in designing effective social media communication strategies to expand the market reach of MSMEs during Ramadan season, several crucial steps should be implemented. These include carefully identifying the target audience to ensure the created content is relevant and engaging to them. Subsequently, focus on producing quality content that aligns with the Ramadan theme, including the use of relevant hashtags to enhance visibility. By implementing these steps, it is expected that MSMEs can achieve greater success in expanding their market reach during Ramadan.

Abstract

Automatic incubator is an incubator device designed to hatch eggs artificially with automatically controlled temperature, humidity, and egg turning settings, in the hope of increasing the success rate of hatching, saving time and energy, and enabling hatching on a larger scale. The purpose of this community service is to apply appropriate technology for automatic egg hatching to improve the knowledge, skills, accessibility, and income of farmers in Rajamandala Village. This program is a Kosabangsa scheme through a collaboration between Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya and Universitas Siliwangi. This activity starts in September 2024 to December 2024 in Rajamandala Village, Rajapolah District, Tasikmalaya Regency. Kosabangsa activities consist of various activities, namely socialization / counseling regarding automatic incubators, training on their application which can be controlled using Android, and assistance in the application of automatic incubator technology to partners until their marketing activities. The target partner for this activity is Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti with a total of 20 group members as participants in the activity. The results of this community service activity show that the application of automatic incubator technology in Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti is able to increase the percentage of hatching power and reduce the hatching time compared to the application of manual incubator technology that is commonly used. The output of this activity is able to increase the knowledge, skills, accessibility, and income of Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti partners in the egg hatching process

Abstract

Oktobery merupakan pengusaha yang bergerak dalam bidang pertanian dengan konsep petik sendiri yang berbasis buah stroberi, lokasinya berada di Cisayong kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara pembudidayaan stroberi dengan teknik semi organik, menganalisis biaya, penerimaan, dan pendapatan serta mengetahui kelayakan usahatani stroberi semi organik dalam satu periode produksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Responden penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja (purposive). Data yang diambil berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman stroberi yang dilakukan oleh responden menggunakan media tanam pollybag, dalam satu kali periode produksi dibutuhkan biaya budidaya sebesar Rp 39.520.000,00 dengan penerimaan Rp 54.457.500, sehingga pendapatan dari satu kali periode produksi adalah sebesar Rp 14.937.500, dan nilai kelayakan usaha (R/C) budidaya stroberi dalam satu kali periode produksi adalah 1,38. Hal ini berarti bahwa setiap 1 rupiah biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam usahatani stroberi semi organik akan memperoleh keuntungan sebesar 1,38 rupiah, sehingga usaha tersebut layak diusahakan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education and sociological factors on the entrepreneurial intentions of students. Two theories integrated into this research were the Entrepreneurial Skills Theory and Social Capital Theory. The research adopts a quantitative approach, applying structural equation modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Square (PLS) for analysis. The non-probability sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling to determine the research sample. The study participants consisted of 68 college students in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, selected to complete an online questionnaire. The research findings indicated that entrepreneurship education and sociological factors significantly and positively influence students' entrepreneurial intentions. Furthermore, both the Entrepreneurial Skills Theory and Social Capital Theory not only have individual positive impacts but also complement each other in shaping students' entrepreneurial intentions. The integration of entrepreneurship education, combining the development of individual skills with the strengthening of social relationships and collaboration, was an effective foundation for motivating and preparing students to face challenges in the business world.
