Abstract

A holticulture plant known as dragon fruit (pitaya) is a fruit that has many benefits and is widely cultivated by farmers in several areas of Banyuwangi. In dragon fruit plants there are various kinds of diseases that attack including red spot, stem rot, black rot, scab, and mosaic. Farmers still recognize diseases on dragon fruit stems manually so that sometimes there are errors in disease recognition. In this research, a system was developed to identify the types of diseases on dragon fruit stems. This system was built by proposing the Convolutional neural network method with the proposed architecture using the Python programming language with the Tensorflow, Keras, and Scikit-Learn libraries. The proposed system is tested using k-fold cross validation with tunning parameters fold = 5 and epoch = 5. The training results show that the highest accuracy performance value is 85.06% with the data used as test data as many as 191 images producing 147 correct data and 44 data wrong, while the average overall accuracy score was 76.43%.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 6 Rogojampi merupakan salah satu sekolah swasta di Banyuwangi yang berkomitmen mengembangkan kompetensi keilmuan dan keislaman siswanya melalui pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan. Namun, proses pembelajaran masih didominasi metode konvensional seperti ceramah dan penugasan manual yang kurang relevan dengan tuntutan era digital. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya literasi digital siswa dan belum tersedianya platform pembelajaran terintegrasi yang dapat mendukung proses belajar yang interaktif dan adaptif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mentransformasi pembelajaran kewirausahaan melalui pengembangan modul digital interaktif berbasis Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle di SMK Muhammadiyah 6 Rogojampi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan dan pembuatan modul digital, pelatihan penggunaan LMS kepada guru dan siswa, serta uji coba implementasi dalam proses pembelajaran kewirausahaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa mampu mengoperasikan platform LMS dengan baik, serta modul digital interaktif yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan partisipasi belajar dan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep kewirausahaan. Selain itu, siswa dapat berlatih membuat rencana bisnis secara digital melalui fitur interaktif yang tersedia pada platform Moodle. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi LMS berbasis Moodle dan modul digital interaktif dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran kewirausahaan di SMK. Ke depan, disarankan agar pengembangan serupa diperluas pada mata pelajaran lain untuk memperkuat literasi digital dan kesiapan siswa menghadapi dunia industri berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) constitutes a core component in the development of Smart Environment systems for real-time environmental monitoring. Selecting an appropriate communication protocol remains a major challenge, particularly in semi-rural areas characterized by limited network infrastructure and heterogeneous geographical conditions. This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of three IoT communication protocols, namely LoRa, WiFi (ESP32), and Zigbee (XBee), through real-field prototype-based testing conducted in the semi-rural region of Banyuwangi. The evaluated parameters include communication range, transmission latency, and packet delivery ratio (PDR). The experiments were performed by periodically transmitting data packets under multiple distance scenarios. The results indicate that LoRa achieves the longest communication range of approximately ±1750 meters with an average latency of 2.1 seconds, WiFi exhibits the lowest latency of about 0.2 seconds with an effective range of ±200 meters, while Zigbee demonstrates stable transmission performance with a PDR of 100% up to a distance of ±600 meters. The main contribution of this study lies in providing empirical performance data obtained from real-field experiments in a semi-rural Indonesian environment, which can serve as a reference for selecting appropriate IoT communication protocols for Smart Environment implementations.

Abstract

The digital economy presents new opportunities and challenges for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study explores hidden patterns in social media data to strengthen MSMEs in the culinary, tourism, and fashion-textile sectors. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data mining of leading brands’ social media was combined with qualitative validation through interviews with nine MSME representatives. Quantitative analysis revealed key engagement trends and content strategies, while qualitative insights confirmed their relevance and feasibility for SMEs. The integration of findings demonstrates that social media analytics can guide SMEs in enhancing digital presence, improving competitiveness, and adapting to shifting consumer behaviors. The study contributes practical recommendations for MSMEs while positioning social media as a strategic tool for sustainable growth in the digital era.

Abstract

Keamanan pangan berupa aspek halal menjadi kebutuhan primer bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Studi bioinformatika menawarkan pendekatan untuk analisis materi genetik organisme dari database yang telah tersedia secara luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan marker dari sekuens protein beberapa sampel kelompok mamamlia secara in silico dengan pendekatan bioinformatika. Pemilihan sampel urutan protein didasarkan pada protein yang telah banyak dilaporkan secara luas yaitu protein IGF2 (insulin like growth factor 2) dan CytB (cytochrome B). Analisis kekerabatan antar sampel menggunakan konstruksi pohon filogenetik berdasarkan sekuens protein sampel spesies mamalia halal yang dibandingkan dengan sampel mamalia non-halal seperti babi dan anjing. Tahap terakhir adalah analisis struktur dan sifat fisikokimia protein target untuk menentukan marker 'halal'. Analisis pohon filogenetik menunjukkan bahwa spesies babi menempati kelompok yang berbeda dengan mamalia yang umum dikonsumsi di Indonesia dan paling dekat hubungannya dengan spesies anjing. Prediksi sifat protein sampel memberikan informasi kesamaan titik isoelektrik dan karakteristik kelarutan antara sekuens protein spesies babi dan anjing. Dua blok penanda pada sekuen babi dan anjing dari protein IGF2 didapatkan dengan metode multiple sequence alignment berupa urutan YDTWKQSAQRLRRGLPALLRARRGR dan HGGASPEASG. Temuan tersebut dapat menjadi penanda baik secara struktur (urutan) maupun posisinya sebagai acuan dalam pengujian produk halal berbasis DNA, khususnya dengan metode PCR.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the formation of an optimal portfolio of stocks based on the Markowitz model in IDX Quality30 companies post covid from January 2021 to December 2022. The secondary data used are daily closing stock prices. The samples in this study were 19 companies. The analysis results show that ten stocks are optimal portfolio candidates: ASII, BBCA, BMRI, ITMG, KLBF, MIKA, PTBA, SIDO, TLKM, and UNTR. The optimal portfolio formation of the Markowitz model consists of 10 issuers with proportions, namely SIDO 30.81%, TLKM 15.61%, MIKA 12.09%, KLBF 11.90%, BBCA 8.64%, ASII 7.39%, PTBA 5.35%, UNTR 3.73%, ITMG 3.53%, BMRI 0.94%. The proportion of funds generated can provide an expected return value of 0.047% with a risk level (standard deviation) of 0.885%.

Abstract

Unit Layanan Terpadu (ULT) Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi berperan penting dalam pelayanan administrasi kampus, salah satunya pengajuan Surat Keterangan Aktif Kuliah (SKAK). Proses manual yang berjalan sebelumnya sering menimbulkan antrean panjang dan keterlambatan pelayanan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dikembangkan Sistem Informasi Layanan ULT berbasis web menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang melibatkan pengguna dalam setiap tahap pengembangannya, yaitu requirements planning, user design, construction, dan cutover. Sistem dibangun menggunakan framework Laravel, basis data MySQL, dan diuji dengan Black Box Testing serta User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan seluruh fungsi berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna, dengan tingkat kepuasan sebesar 99% pada mahasiswa dan 97% pada admin. Sistem ini terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi, kecepatan, dan transparansi pelayanan administrasi di ULT Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi. ABSTRACT The Integrated Service Unit (ULT) of Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi plays an important role in providing campus administrative services, including the issuance of the Certificate of Active Study (SKAK). The previous manual process often caused long queues and service delays. To overcome these issues, a web-based Integrated Service Information System was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which involves users in every stage of development, namely requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover. The system was built using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, and tested through Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The test results show that all system functions run properly with user satisfaction levels of 99% for students and 97% for administrators. This system effectively improves efficiency, speed, and transparency of administrative services at the Integrated Service Unit of Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi.
