Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between upper arm muscle strength and the accuracy of volleyball upper serve in PBV Hizbul Wathan athletes. The method used is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The subjects in this study were 15 PBV Hizbul Wathan athletes selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in the study included a push-up test to measure upper arm muscle strength and a service accuracy test to measure the accuracy of the upper serve. The results showed that the upper arm muscle strength of athletes was in the good to very good category, with an average of 24.93 push-ups, while the accuracy of the upper serve also showed high results with an average value of 29.40. Based on the Pearson correlation test, a correlation value of r = 0.839 was obtained with a significance value of p = 0.000, which indicates that there is a very strong and significant relationship between upper arm muscle strength and upper serve accuracy. It can be concluded that the greater the upper arm muscle strength an athlete has, the higher the level of upper serve accuracy that can be achieved. These findings indicate the importance of strengthening arm muscles in supporting the performance of overhead service techniques and provide implications for coaches in designing targeted physical training programs.

Abstract

Physical education plays an important role in improving students' motor skills and fitness. One important aspect of playing football is a dribbling technique, which requires good coordination, balance, and control. However, many students still have difficulty dribbling the ball properly. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of one-on-one games on improving students' dribbling skills at MTs Nurul Cholil 03. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of one-on-one games on dribbling skills in students at MTs Nurul Cholil 03. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental experimental approach (pretest-posttest design). The sample used was 20 students from classes VII A and VIII A who had difficulty dribbling the ball. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and dribbling skills tests before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing with paired t-tests using SPSS 20 software. The results of the normality test showed that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed. Hypothesis testing shows a significance value of 0.005 <0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of one-on-one games on students' dribbling ability. After the treatment was given, students showed an increase in ball control, balance, and dribbling strategy, compared to the pretest results before the treatment. One-on-one games have proven to be effective in improving students' dribbling ability. With training that focuses on individual skills, students are able to develop better techniques in carrying the ball and defending the ball from opponents. Therefore, this method can be used as an alternative learning method to improve football skills in physical education.

Abstract

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research aimed at improving the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand serve basic techniques in class X-3 students at SMAN 1 Pademawu through the implementation of a direct instruction model with a practical method. The research subjects were 34 students of class X-3. Data were collected through practical tests, as well as cognitive and affective observations. The results of the initial study (pretest) showed a very low learning mastery, with only 17.64% of students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 65%. After the intervention was implemented, a significant improvement occurred in two cycles. In Cycle I, the percentage of learning mastery increased to 41.17%. Although there was an increase in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects, these results had not yet met the classical KKM, so the research was continued to Cycle II. In Cycle II, method improvements were made with more detailed instructions and stronger motivation. As a result, the percentage of mastery jumped to 76.47%, exceeding the set target. This indicates that the application of the direct instruction model with a practical method is significantly effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of physical condition of Remba FC Bangkalan Futsal Club players based on the five main components of physical fitness, namely endurance, strength, flexibility, speed and agility. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The population in this study were all active players of the Remba FC Club, with a sample of 10 people selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of age 19 years and activeness in training. The research instruments consisted of five types of standardized physical tests: 1200 meter running test (endurance), sit-up test (strength), sit and reach test (flexibility), 60 meter sprint test (speed), and shuttle run (agility). The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distributions and percentages based on the classification of Indonesian Physical Fitness Norms. The research results show that in general the players' physical fitness levels are in the Good (50%), Very Good (30%), and Medium (20%) categories. Specifically, strength and agility have dominant values in the Very Good category, while endurance and speed show a distribution of values that still needs to be improved. These results show that even though the players' physical condition is quite good, strengthening special training programs in the aspects of endurance and speed is still very necessary to support optimal performance in matches.
