Abstract

Pelita Private Elementary School fifth graders were studied. Pelita Private Elementary School has 30 fifth graders—14 boys and 16 girls. Students' reading, writing, and interest in reading suffer from the teacher's boring and versatile materials. In class, students don't understand literacy. Pelita Tanjung Morawa Private Elementary School's fifth-grade primary connection test and author's homeroom teacher interviews determined Cycle I's difficulty. This study examined students' reading skills. The researcher tested students' reading skills before cycle 1. Grade 5 literacy tests average 15%. VA students excelled. Low comprehension. This initial literacy test will help create activities and learning scenarios. Canva's interactive media improves student subject matter literacy in Cycle I. Air quality. Students' reading abilities were assessed using Canva's powerpoints. Health requires clean water. Student disinterest in reading invalidates this study. Before cycle 1, the researcher assessed students' primary reading skills. Fifth-grade researchers read 15%. Grade 5 A students have low comprehension. Canva's interactive media creates learning scenarios and activities from this initial literacy assessment. Some cycle II initiatives improved performance. Pelita Private Elementary School fifth graders used tests and questionnaires in lesson II in 2022/2023. 30% were middle class and 61.65% lower class. Pelita Private Elementary School 5th graders understood exam results with 61.65% very good, 30.15% good, 8.2% fair, and 0% poor. Students' reading comprehension is reading interest. 57.2 percent of students like reading and understand. Researchers found that Canva's attractive interactive media increased students' reading interest. Canva's interactive media improves students' reading and writing.

Abstract

This research aims to improve basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 elementary school students through active learning interventions based on traditional games. In this research, researchers used a quasi-experimental research design with stratified random sampling. Two groups of students were selected, where one group was given active learning intervention, while the other group was a control group that received conventional learning. The research instruments used included basic movement skills tests, student response questionnaires, participant observation, and field notes. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and the T test to compare the differences between the two groups before and after the learning intervention. The statistical calculation method used was the T test, which was used to compare the differences between the experimental group and the control group in terms of improvement in basic locomotor movement skills after the intervention. By using the T test, researchers can evaluate whether there are significant differences between the two groups and whether traditional game-based active learning interventions are effective in improving the basic movement skills of grade 5 elementary school students. The research results show that traditional game-based active learning interventions have a significant positive impact in improving basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 students. This shows the important potential of interactive and fun learning methods in improving the quality of learning and the development of students' motor skills. In conclusion, active learning interventions based on traditional games can be effective in improving basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 elementary school students. This research provides important implications for the development of a more inclusive and student-centered curriculum at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This article discusses training and the introduction of modified physical education and sports media for teachers in sports education subjects, while this training was conducted in Tembung Village, Precut Sei Tuan District, in the training process the author found several problems before conducting the training, including several problems there are still teachers who often carry out learning processes that tend to be monotonous, so that students tend to feel bored doing learning in the classroom. The training method used is lectures, then the techniques in the data collection process are supported by descriptive quantitative methods where the process of implementation is carried out by presenting the data that has been analyzed. Then after the training the results were found that the teachers were much more successful and could interpret the training and learning process more pleasantly, meaning that the teachers understood much better how to modify good learning, so that the learning process was much more enjoyable.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is made up of interconnected concepts and materials, therefore understanding the fundamentals is critical. The purpose of this study is to assess the validity of developing mathematics learning medium utilizing animated videos. Adobe After Effects (AAE) is based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) for elementary school students in Medan. This study and development of learning material was conducted utilizing research and development procedures (RD). The ADDIE model has been adapted, and only the analysis, design, and development phases have been carried out in this research. The data gathering approach consisted of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation based on the validation results of two media experts and three teachers (material experts) from three schools. The data analysis technique employed is to convert qualitative data to quantitative data. The Material Expert validity test yielded good findings, with an average score of 3 out of a possible 4 points. The media expert validity test yielded a good standard, with a mean score of 3.20 and a maximum value of 4. It was concluded that the results of the animation video mathematics learning media validation test assisted by AAE based on RME were good for use in learning at school.

Abstract

Fixed free beam is one of the components that are most often used as raw materials for furnitureand building construction. The use of wooden beams is inseparable from several important issues that mustbe taken into account, including stiffness, strength, stability, and flexibility. The problem of free vibrationthat occurs in wooden beams must also be taken into account. All systems that have mass and elasticity canexperience free vibrations or vibrations that occur without external stimulation. This free vibration occurswhen the system on the object oscillates due to the work of the forces that exist in the system itself (inherent). The free vibration of the wooden beams must be overcome by damping, so that it does not seriously affectthe structure of the strength, stability, and flexibility of the wooden beams. Damping can be done by lookingfor free vibration points or vibration mode shapes on fixed free beams. One approach that can be used tofind the mode shapes is a numerical approach using the Reyleigh-Ritz method. The methodology used isthe development of a python script to find free vibration modes on the beam. In this article, the beam with a length of 0.5 meters and a thickness of 2.25 × 10^−4 meters is selected as a simulation model.
