Abstract

Air ballast digunakan sebagai pemberat dan penyeimbang kapal saat berlayar, namun air ballast akan menimbulkan masalah yang serius ketika kapal melakukan proses ballasting dan deballasting maka akan terjadi pertukaran organisme di satu daerah dengan daerah lainnya. Proses ini berlangsung selama bertahun-tahun selama kapal beroperasi. Hal ini mengakibatkan keseimbangan ekosistem terganggu. Maka dari itu sekretaris jenderal IMO (International Maritime Organization) menyatakan bahwa semua kapal harus menerapkan rencana air ballast dan manajemen sedimen, dan semua kapal harus mempunyai buku catatan air ballas yang nantinya akan diminta untuk melakukan prosedur pengelolaan air ballast yang sudah ditetapkan oleh IMO. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yakni mengambil data model pengolahan yang sudah ada di pelabuhan teluk lamong, kesiapan sumber daya manusia yang ada dipelabuhan dan model pengolahan air balas dipelabuhan, untuk mengetahui kondisi dan peraturan air balas yang sudah diterapkan dipelabuhan teluk lamong maka dilakukan survey secara langsung, kemudian setelah dilakukanya proses wawancara dilakukan analisa mengenai jawaban dari para SDM. Maka dengan keluarnya perpres Nomor 132 Tahun 2015 dan surat edaran pada tahun 2019 maka pihak pelabuhan teluk lamong segera menerapkan Peraturan Pemerintah mengenai Ballast Water Management metode D-2 bagi kapal kapal berbendera indonesia yang melakukan pelayaran internasional.

Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia's education system transformed with the introduction of the "Kurikulum Merdeka." However, its implementation remains limited. To support this, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo conducted a community service program (PKM) by developing an online report card web application at MTs Tarbiyatul Wathon Gresik. The target audience is school leaders and teachers. The methods used include lectures, discussions, and tutorials. The results show that the web application successfully facilitated the entry and monitoring of student grades, allowing data import from Excel to the application, and enabling easy printing of mid-term report cards. This application improves efficiency, organization, and flexibility in managing student grades, contributing positively to the educational transformation in the digital era.

Abstract

Lecturer attendance is a crucial element in assessing lecturer performance in higher education institutions. However, the manual attendance methods still widely used have weaknesses, such as the risk of recording errors and fraud. This study aims to develop a QR Code-based lecturer attendance system that can be accessed through Android mobile devices. The system utilizes QR Code technology to ensure real-time and accurate lecturer attendance. The research method used is the waterfall software development model with Unified Modelling Language (UML) modeling. The application is designed using Android Studio and MySQL as the database. The results show that the QR Code-based attendance system can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the lecturer attendance process at the Graduate School of KH. Abdul Chalim Institute, Mojokerto

Abstract

Korelasi antara pembelajaran nilai moral dan agama dengan perkembangan kognitif pada pendidikan Islam anak usia dini. Tujuannya adalah untuk memahami bagaimana integrasi nilai moral dan agama dalam pendidikan dapat mempengaruhi aspek kognitif anak usia dini. Menggunakan metode review sistematis, penelitian ini menganalisis data dari berbagai studi yang telah diterbitkan, yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang ketat. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara pengajaran nilai moral dan agama dengan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif seperti pemecahan masalah, kreativitas, dan berpikir kritis pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dengan mengidentifikasi dan mensintesis bukti yang ada mengenai pengaruh pendidikan nilai moral dan agama terhadap perkembangan kognitif, serta menyarankan pentingnya pendekatan holistik dalam pendidikan Islam anak usia dini. Correlation between learning moral and religious values and cognitive development in early childhood Islamic education. The aim is to understand how the integration of moral and religious values in education can affect the cognitive aspects of early childhood. Using a systematic review method, this study analyzed data from various published studies, which were selected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show a positive relationship between teaching moral and religious values and improving cognitive abilities such as problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking in early childhood. This study makes an important contribution by identifying and synthesizing existing evidence on the effect of moral and religious values education on cognitive development and suggests the importance of a holistic approach in early childhood Islamic education.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in Indonesia significantly impacts various aspects of life, including the industrial sector. One of the negative impacts on this sector is the occurrence of work accidents that cause injury and death. This is due to the low implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) culture in the industrial world. PT XYZ, a company engaged in the hot rolling coil industry in Sidoarjo, implements a K3 system. However, based on initial observations, there are still obstacles, especially the lack of understanding of human resources regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This study aims to identify the factors causing work accidents and outline corrective steps to reduce the risk. Using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method, this study found that in 2022, there were 43 cases of work accidents, while in 2023, the number decreased to 41 cases. As a result of these accidents, in 2022, there was a loss of 21 working days per 1,000,000 working hours/person, while in 2023, the loss of working days decreased to 18 days for the same period. The accident indicator also showed a decline, from 0.47 in 2022 to 0.38 in 2023. Recommendations to prevent work accidents at PT XYZ include reading the safety board, attending briefings before work, doing work according to the job description, and using personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and work helmets.

Abstract

Oral and dental health is an integral part of general health, yet high treatment costs and limited availability of dentists, especially in non-urban areas, often lead the public to delay examinations until complaints worsen. This research aims to develop a web-based expert system capable of providing early indications of oral and dental diseases quickly, accurately, and accessibly through a self-screening mechanism. This web application provides an expert system developed using Python (Flask) and designed with login/logout features for data security, as well as storing user information and diagnosis results in a database. The system utilizes the Forward Chaining method as the primary inference engine to process user-inputted symptoms, and integrates Certainty Factor to calculate and determine the confidence level of the diagnosis results. Testing has demonstrated ease of use, where users only need to answer symptom questions with "yes" or "no" to obtain a disease diagnosis and relevant treatment suggestions. Performance analysis based on trials with 40 simulated data shows the system achieved an accuracy rate of 85%, making it a reliable tool for initial screening.

Abstract

This study examines innovative strategies in Islamic education learning based on digital technology and identifies the challenges and opportunities in integrating Islamic values into digital learning. The methodology used in this research is a literature review with a qualitative approach, where the author examines various literatures related to the application of technology in Islamic education and its impact on the development of student character. Data analysis is conducted by comparing findings from relevant sources. The research results show that digital technology has great potential to enhance learning effectiveness, but there are challenges in maintaining the balance between utilising technology and preserving Islamic values. Furthermore, integrating Islamic values into technology-based learning can strengthen student character and develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking and collaboration. This study concludes that the application of technology in Islamic education should be carried out wisely while emphasising the moral and spiritual values that form the foundation of student character development.

Abstract

In Islamic boarding schools, curriculum revitalization is very important in improving the quality of students. The objectives of curriculum revitalization in improving the quality of students are: 1. Improving the quality of education, 2. Strengthening the integration of religious and general education, 3. Increasing the competitiveness of students, 4. Preparing students to become agents of change. Here, Islamic boarding schools not only maintain the noble teachings of Islam but also integrate them with modern science. Islamic boarding school administrators need to realize that students need to be equipped with relevant skills to face the global world. Islamic boarding schools formulate new curriculum in a mature manner and involve many parties to gather to discuss what should be maintained and what should be added by conducting comparative studies of Islamic boarding schools that have been successfully reformed. It is interesting that many Islamic high schools involve successful alumni in various fields to contribute. This ensures that the implementation of curriculum revitalization is not only innovative but also in accordance with the principles of Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach. The researcher provides a detailed explanation of the findings related to the revitalization of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in this study. To obtain complex data, researchers can explain all symptoms or conditions in the field and obtain information and data sources. The Findings Aspect of this Research is the renewal of the Islamic boarding school curriculum is the integration of general knowledge with religious knowledge. For example, students learn theory and how science supports the truth of the Koran in science class. Both the world economy and the Islamic economic system are covered in economics class. Students are taught how to use social media for preaching even in technology classes. Students learn from this integrative method that in Islam, religious knowledge and general knowledge cannot be separated from each other.

Abstract

Education at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Senior High School plays an role important in forming a superior generation in knowledge and religion. Teacher professionalism is the key to success in creating effective and innovative learning. Research This aims to identify development strategies for teacher professionalism and factor supporters and inhibitors. The methods used are approach qualitative descriptive, with data collection through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Research results show that various strategies, such as training based on needs, academic supervision, and formation of community learning, have been applied to increase teacher competency. Support from madrasah leadership and culture Work cooperation among teachers becomes a factor Supporter main. However, the challenges like limitations time, facilities technology, and resistance to change Still become obstacles. Impact positive from teacher professionalism is visible in improvement involvement students and results learn more good. Technology integration in learning also becomes aspect crucial in facing challenges in education in the 21st century. Research This recommends improvement to support more facilities and training programs flexible for overcoming existing obstacles. It is hoped that efforts to develop teacher professionalism can continue so that the Nurul Jadid Islamic Senior High School can print competent and moral graduates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di lingkungan pesantren. Kecerdasan emosional merupakan aspek penting yang berperan dalam keberhasilan akademik, khususnya dalam konteks pesantren yang menekankan pembentukan karakter, kedisiplinan, dan pembelajaran holistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) berupa pre-test post-test control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di dua SMP yang berada di bawah naungan pesantren di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Satu kelas ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan berupa pelatihan dan pembiasaan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional melalui kegiatan terstruktur seperti refleksi diri, diskusi empatik, dan pengelolaan emosi. Kelompok lainnya menjadi kelompok kontrol (siswa kelas VIII B) yang mengikuti pembelajaran seperti biasa tanpa perlakuan khusus. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup angket kecerdasan emosional, tes prestasi belajar mata pelajaran inti serta dokumentasi akademik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan prestasi belajar yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 68,2 menjadi 81,7, sementara kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 69,1 menjadi 73,5. Hasil uji t independen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi di bawah 0,05, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kecerdasan emosional secara sistematis dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa SMP di lingkungan pesantren. _________________________________________________________________________________ This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on the academic achievement of junior high school (SMP) students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Emotional intelligence is a crucial factor in academic success, particularly in pesantren environments that emphasize character development, discipline, and holistic learning. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group format. The research subjects were eighth-grade students from two pesantren-based junior high schools in Sidoarjo Regency. One class was designated as the experimental group, receiving structured interventions to enhance emotional intelligence through activities such as self-reflection, empathetic discussions, and emotion regulation exercises. The other class served as the control group (grade VIII B students) and continued with standard learning without any special treatment. Instruments used in this study included an emotional intelligence questionnaire, academic achievement tests) in core subjects, and academic documentation. The analysis results revealed a significant difference in academic achievement improvement between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group’s average score increased from 68.2 to 81.7, while the control group’s score rose from 69.1 to 73.5. An independent t-test showed a significance value below 0.05, indicating that emotional intelligence had a statistically significant effect on student achievement. These findings suggest that systematically developing students’ emotional intelligence can be an effective strategy for improving academic outcomes in pesantren-based junior high schools.
