Abstract

This research aims to determine the mineral content of activated charcoal made from kluwak seed shell, the quality of activated charcoal made from kluwak seed shell, and the absorption capacity of kluwak seed shell charcoal as adsorbent of polluted well water after testing. From the results of XRF analysis, it can be seen that there are still several types of impurities in activated carbon shells of kluwak seeds. It can be said that the activated carbon obtained is not yet fully pure activated carbon because pure activated carbon only contains 100% carbon. Where the quality of activated charcoal made from kluwak seed shells meets the requirements of SNI-06-3730-1995 in terms of water content and ash content. And the absorption capacity of Kluwak sage shell charcoal as an adsorbent of contaminated well water after testing, namely the gravel, activated carbon, and silica sand have met the clean water eligibility standards when viewed from turbidity and color while in the gravel filter layer, silica sand, carbon and in the silica sand filter, activated carbon, gravel have not met the eligibility requirements for clean water because of the high turbidity and the solid color.

Abstract

Walking With Wave Simulation Using MATLAB Software Version 7:14. The purpose of this study wasto visualize the simulation program in the two-dimensional wave propagation, waveforms are in phase and phase difference and interference of waves in the wave superposition and wave visualization using MATLAB. This study uses a hardware specification that is a notebook with an Intel ® Core TM i3-380M, 2 GB DDR3 Memory, 320 GB HDD, Windows 7 Professional 32-bit system and the software Matlab & Simulink Release 2012a version 7.14. Making simulation starts from collecting multiple variables from multiple reference wave. The study was conducted by making the program compilers and program display the caller in the script M-file in the software matlab. Then execute all forms of variable wave existing programs in M-files in Matlab and explains all the waveforms are executed.

Abstract

This research is about the e / m electric charge ratio with the aim of (1) to determine the relationship between accelerator potential and current strength and electron beam radius, (2) to determine the value of e / m for electron particles based on calculation results and graphs. . This research uses a cathode tube and a coil which functions to generate a magnetic field. This coil is called a Helmholtz coil (a coil that has a radius equal to the distance of the two coils). Based on the research results, it was found that (1) the greater the potential value of the accelerator, the smaller the value of the electron beam radius, and vice versa, if the smaller the potential value of the accelerator, the greater the value of the electron beam radius. whereas the acceleration potential relation to the electron current strength, if the value of the accelerator voltage is enlarged, the strength of the electron current will also be greater, and vice versa; (2) the average e / m value of the calculation result is 1.67 × 1011 C / kg and the average e / m value of the graph is 1.66 × 1011 C / kg. While the percent (%) difference in the value of e / m in literature with the results of calculations and graphs is 0.05% and the percent (%) of the difference in the value of e / m in calculations with the results of the graph is 0.001%.

Abstract

This research aims to design and design an automatic water filter and test the quality of the filtered water using an automatic filter that has been designed. The quality of the filtered water is viewed from physical and chemical parameters, both parameters are measured and observed directly at the Modern Physics Laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Physical Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the results of water quality in an automatic water filter with proof of two different samples showed that the water produced was not maximal because it had a high conductivity value and a pH value that was in the acid category. Because the water pressure that enters the filter media is too large it can stir / destroy the top layer of the filter so that the top filter cannot filter out impurities optimally.

Abstract

The measurement of conductivity rock coat conducted by using potential method fall. Target of this research is to know how big assess electrics conductivity some homogeneous material type which obtained potential fall and know graph characteristic is nature of conductivity various same material type to function apart friction of potential electrode fall. The pursuant to result of the measurement, that every material have conductivity value which vary, where land containing of brine (salt) conductivity value equal to (0,4760-0,450)m-1, sand coat and gravel equal to (0,0096-0,0078)  m-1, limestone equal to (0,0151-0,01488)  m-1, clay land equal to (0,165-0,156)  m-1, and limestone contain chalk equal to (0,00269-0,00251)  m-1. Rock type/land owning larger ones conductivity is land containing of brine (salt) while smallest conductivity is limestone containing of chalk. Conductivity value every rock coat is land containing of brine (salt) = 0,4626  m-1 with DK=91,47%, sand coat and gravel = 0,0087  m-1 with DK=86,77%, limestone = 0,0150  m-1 with DK=92,18%, clay land = 0,1608  m-1 with DK=83,04%, and limestone containing of chalk = 0,00256  m-1 with DK=92,40%. From is fifth of material type anticipated that conductivity value vary to be caused by the existence of difference of amenity electrics current to emit a stream of in each passed by rock compiler material. Strong difference of current to emit a stream of in rock coat medium very is base on nature of passed by material physical. Nature of the physical for example is porosity, permeability, mass density, and item size measure distribution.

Abstract

The research was conducted by taking a sample of 25 pieces of cell phone. Mobile radiation intensity measured electromagnetic waves are receiving phone calls. Measurements were made by placing two headphone in a different room with a range of ± 20 meters. Tool used to measure the intensity of radiation of electromagnetic waves emitted by mobile phone radiation is a measure C32-QX5. Values were collected before phone calls and performed on two conditions after receiving the phone call is a normal condition and the condition of the loudspeaker. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile phones with different brands and types and determine their effects on health. Results showed that all cell phones that have measured the intensity of the radiation was still safe to use because it has an average radiation intensity 6 mW/cm2, which limits the intensity of radiation that can be tolerated by the body is equal to 10 mW/cm2. The use of mobile phones continuously for one hour a day in the ten-year timeframe, estimated the value of the intensity of radiation received by the body tissue will exceed safe limits.

Abstract

Has been conducted research on the measurement of thethermal conductivity in the sample hollow Batako and batako sampleshas been filled rice husk. this research aimed to determine the effect oftemperature changes on two different sample types. In this researchfirst conducted calorific value calculation on two different sampletypes. Then performed the calculation of the conductivity value thenthe conductivity values obtained were compared with the theoreticalvalue of conductivity. Measurement of the temperature value must bechecked every 10 minutes for 6 hours per day within 12 days. Theresults showed that the role of rice husk in the heat absorption systemis very influential. The temperature batako Sample are not filled ricehusk increased faster than rice husk filled bricks so that the value ofthe temperature change will also affect which will affect thecalculation of calorific value. Value of temperature changes on hollowbatako smaller if compared with batako stuffed rice husk. Calculationof calorific value in the hollow batako samples obtained calorificvalues for the lamp 25 W of 18.339 J and batako samples were filledrice husks for lamp 25 W at 17.226 J. While the calorific value of thelamp 40 W for the sample is 28.839 A hollow batako and batakosamples were filled husks calorific value of 33.019 A. The conductivityvalues obtained in the two different types batako samples is 0.339W/moC or in other words equal to the value batako thermalconductivity according to the theory. Test values obtained greatermechanical stress on the batako samplefilled rice husk compared withhollow batako samples.

Abstract

Research about Study of Determination Calorie Value in Durian Fruit (Durio zibethinus) has done. This study aims to determine the calorie value of all the materials used. The materials used are durian fruit. Materials will be determined calorie performed on ripe fruit or fresh fruit and fruit that have been dried under the sunlight. Determination of calorie value using two methods: the first method: determination of calorie value by Cobra3 and method II: determination of the calorie value by joule calorimeter. The higher specific heat and heat capacity accordingly calorie value would be even higher.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the influence ofusage frequency sound waves to grow seed corn and green beans. Themethod used in this study that the samples are given three types oftreatment with the sound source given to this type of audiosonicfrequency, ultrasonic and natural conditions. The results showed thatthe samples give growth response (height parameter of the plant, leafwidth, leaf number and leaf length) are good as the samples treatedwith ultrasonic frequency of administration.
