Abstract

The cultivation of character values ​​in children is absolutely necessary with the aim of developing the child's basic potential so that he grows into a person who is good-hearted, well-thought and well-behaved. In essence, early childhood have different characteristics when compared to adults, early childhood have a high enough curiosity, like to play, imitate and imagine. It is through these characteristics that will be used as a foothold in instilling character values ​​in these early childhood. Implementation of character education in schools in early childhood can be done through center-based learning that is beam centers, role playing centers, Qur'an centers, preparation centers and skills centers. The three centers are interrelated with one another which will make students have character in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education as the main basis of education for an individual should be able to build and integrate a tolerant attitude towards plural social life contained in the Islamic values of moderation, where these values must be applied and become a habit for a child who will grow into a person who has a tolerant attitude towards differences. If young children are not introduced to the values of moderation, then when growing up they will be easily influenced and even influence liberal and extreme ideas which can later threaten disintegration in public life. Seeing the dangers of disintegration that continue to threaten today and the importance of implementing Islamic moderation values in early childhood.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is one of the problems faced by many students, including at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, UNISA Palu. This behavior of delaying tasks has an impact on low academic achievement and delays in completing studies. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the concept of discipline in Islamic education and students' academic procrastination level. The study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression method. Prior to regression analysis, validity, reliability, and normality tests were conducted to ensure data quality. The research sample amounted to 141 students who were randomly selected. The results showed that 96% of students still experienced academic procrastination, while 4% had a fairly high level of discipline. Simple linear regression analysis showed a significant negative relationship between the level of discipline in Islamic education and academic procrastination behavior. The higher the level of discipline of students, the lower their tendency to procrastinate. This is in line with the concept of discipline in Islamic education which emphasizes the importance of time management, responsibility, and commitment to scientific mandates. The findings provide important implications for educational institutions, especially in designing strategies to improve student discipline through an Islamic values-based approach. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in the
