Abstract

Abstract

Self destructive behavior and that of others can result from low self-esteem self-control ability or self-control in students. On the other hand, good self-control can influence student learning outcomes and achievements.Self control itself includes 3 aspects including behavioral control, cognitive control, and decision control. One way that can be done to develop students' self-control is with game strategies, one of which is traditional games, where traditional games are now rarely found. The purpose of this study was to conduct a literature review related to game strategies in developing students' self-control. This is a qualitative-library research. The researcher conducted research on the results of journal research related to traditional game strategies to develop students' self-control. Data and research data sources are in the form of ten studies with the theme of game strategies to develop students' self-control. Data sources were obtained from e-journals accessed from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Elsevier. The sources sought were research results from 2020 to 2023. Data collection techniques used data collection techniques with the keywords game strategies and student self-control. Researchers collect data on research data obtained from the Google Scholar, Elsevier, and ScienceDirect with data analysis techniques using content analysis methods. Based on several research results it was found thatgame strategy can be used asmedium to developself control onstudentself-controlthis includesbehavioral control, cognitive control, and decision control.Based on the results of the research, it is hoped that teachers can continue to preserve traditional games which are now starting to be abandoned, as media used in learning.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The current development of the Smart home is not only used for automation and monitoring of a room, but also used as security or what is usually called security. One form of smart home security technology is an automatic door lock installed in one of the laboratories at the Batam State Polytechnic. Automatic door lock devices are created using Voice Recognition as command input. Users can give the word Open to unlock the door and Close to lock the door. Selenoid Door Lock is used as a tool to lock doors, and LEDs and speakers are used for information. The tool is tested by giving commands by registered and unregistered users. The test results were 100% of the tool worked for registered users with normal Voice intonation, 77% of the tool worked for unregistered users with normal Voice intonation, 48% of the tool worked for registered users with abnormal Voice intonation and 43% of the tool worked for registered users. not registered with abnormal Voice intonation. Thus, the average tool works well by 67%.

Abstract

Global warming has changed weather patterns in Indonesia, making it difficult to predict, and often the weather changes rapidly, such as sudden rain when the weather is hot. This study aims to overcome the problem of sudden weather changes by using a set of tools that can monitor humidity and wind speed based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This system uses an ESP32 microcontroller combined with a DHT22 sensor to measure humidity and an anemometer to measure wind speed. The collected data will be processed to produce an analysis of weather conditions using the fuzzy logic method and stored in Firebase for efficient data management. In addition, the user interface is designed based on Android Studio to facilitate real-time monitoring. The results of the study show that the developed system is able to provide accurate and reliable weather information, thus helping people plan their activities better.

Abstract

The rapid incorporation of artificial intelligence, notably ChatGPT, in online learning settings has raised questions about its impact on pedagogy. It is unclear whether AI use intensity inherently improves interaction quality and student pleasure or if other cognitive aspects like material knowledge are more important. This study analyzes two models—student interaction quality and student satisfaction—to assess ChatGPT's multifunctional role in online conversations. This quantitative study examines ChatGPT usage intensity, AI dependency, content understanding, interaction quality, and student happiness using structural models. The mechatronics program at Batam State Polytechnic collected data from students using AI techniques in online discussion forums. The findings indicated that the most consistent and dominant predictor of interaction quality and satisfaction is material understanding. ChatGPT intensity and content understanding promote interaction quality in Model 1, demonstrating its procedural support role. Model 2 demonstrates that student satisfaction is more influenced by material understanding and tool trust (dependence) than frequency of usage, suggesting that satisfaction is subjective and effective. The study reveals that AI integration alone does not guarantee success; pupils' cognitive competence and AI adaptation play a significant role. AI's procedural and affective effects on learning are distinguished in this educational technology study. It assists educators in positioning ChatGPT as a "thinking partner" instead of a quick fix. It suggests that pedagogical focus must remain on strengthening students' foundational grasp of concepts before introducing AI tools to ensure high-quality, sustainable online discourse.
