Abstract

Anak yang tinggal di panti asuhan menggunakan fasilitas secara komunal sehingga membutuhkan edukasi kebersihan tangan yang mudah dipahami dan dapat dievaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menawarkan media visual Petualangan Tangan Bersih yang dipadukan dengan cerdas cermat dan simulasi praktik untuk memperkuat pengetahuan serta keterampilan mencuci tangan pakai sabun. Kegiatan bertujuan memberikan edukasi dan menilai ketercapaian pembelajaran pada 30 anak usia sekolah dasar yang terdiri atas 14 anak laki-laki dan 16 anak perempuan. Peserta dibagi menjadi tiga tim dan mengikuti empat pertanyaan wajib, empat pertanyaan rebutan, serta dua tantangan praktik. Seluruh pertanyaan pengetahuan berhasil dijawab dengan benar oleh tim yang memperoleh kesempatan menjawab sehingga ketercapaian kognitif pada tingkat kelompok adalah 100%. Skor praktik adalah 81 dari 90 (90,0%), sedangkan capaian keseluruhan adalah 181 dari 190 (95,3%). Tim A memperoleh skor 68, Tim B 62, dan Tim C 51. Pendekatan visual, permainan kelompok, dan praktik langsung dapat diterapkan sebagai model edukasi yang partisipatif dan ramah anak. Evaluasi berikutnya perlu menggunakan pengukuran individual sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan serta pemantauan lanjutan untuk menilai keberlanjutan perilaku.

Abstract

The aging global population, projected to reach 22% by 2050, necessitates innovative healthcare technologies tailored to elderly users. While Medical Internet of Things (IoT) systems offer promising solutions for geriatric care, their development faces significant challenges including usability limitations and cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This scoping review examines how Design Thinking (DT) frameworks can be adapted to address the unique requirements of elderly-centric embedded systems development. A systematic scoping review following Joanna Briggs Institute methodology was conducted using SCOPUS database searches. Boolean operators combined keywords related to Design Thinking, elderly and Internet of Things. Inclusion criteria encompassed peer-reviewed studies (2015-2025) and grey literature addressing iterative design modifications for elderly populations, excluding non-English publications and systems without embedded sensor components. From 106 initial records, 10 studies met inclusion criteria after systematic screening. Key modifications to traditional DT phases included deeper user involvement, slower pacing, real-world validation, inclusive engagement strategies, co-design methodologies, and enhanced ethical considerations throughout development processes. Modified DT frameworks for elderly IoT development require prioritizing inclusive, context-aware, and iterative processes. Co-design approaches, real-world validation, and ongoing stakeholder support are essential for creating accessible, accepted, and effective solutions that address the complex physiological, cognitive, and socio-technical challenges faced by aging populations

Abstract

Increasing incidence of school-age children with overweight and obesity problems increases the risk of future health problems. This community services provides solutions to introduce balanced nutrition to school-aged children. The method of this activity is community empowerment and training activities. This activity useful for increasing the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of YWKA elementary school students. The role of community nurses is needed to implement a balanced nutrition program as part of promotional and preventive efforts to prevent problems in children.
