Abstract

Cement is the primary material in the manufacture of concrete. In Indonesia, several types of cement are available, namely OPC, PCC, and PPC cement. OPC cement is the predominantly most common and used, whereas PCC and PPC cement were introduced later. The application of OPC cement is more commonly used, and recommended by planners in work plans and specifications document. Based on this, a comparative study of the characteristic compressive strength of concrete was carried out using OPC Type 1 cement, PCC, and PPC cement. This research aims to determine the possibility of using PCC (Portland Composite Cement) and PPC (Portland Pozollan Cement) in construction work. The research was carried out experimentally by making test specimens in the laboratory using OPC, PPC, and PCC cement for 2 (two) designed characteristic compressive strength f'c=20.75 MPa and f'c=24.90 MPa. The Job mix design for the two f'c strength design was based on SNI 7656:2012. The result shows that the characteristic compressive strength of concrete using Andalas cement (OPC) increased by 122% and 125%, and PCC cement from Padang cement increased by 107% and 118%. Meanwhile, the Bima cement type (PPC) did not reach the designed compressive strength, as it reached only 89% of the design compressive strength.Keywords : Concrete, Cemen, OPC, PPC, PCC

Abstract

Kabupaten Nias Barat adalah Kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, saat ini Kabupaten Nias Barat menggunakan Perda No. 12 Tahun 2014 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kabupaten Nias Barat sebagai peraturan daerah yang mengatur tata ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Perkembangan dan pertumbuhan wilayah yang terjadi dengan sangat pesat menyebabkan perubahan pola ruang dan stuktur ruang, berdasarkan perubahan-perubahan tersebut maka RTRW harus di revisi kembali sehingga dapat digunakan dan sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Tujuan dari tulisan ini antara lain melakukan kajian kesesuaian kondisi pemanfaatan ruang dengan Perda RTRW Kabupaten Nias Barat No. 12 Tahun 2014, melakukan kajian terhadap perubahan batas wilayah yang mempengaruhi perubahan rencana tata ruang dan pola pemanfaatan ruang, selain itu melakukan kajian konsep rencana tata ruang yang dapat mengakomodir kondisi pemanfaatan ruang sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku sehingga dapat di gunakan dalam instrumen penataan ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perubahan batas wilayah dan perubahan penggunaan lahan mempengaruhi perencanaan tata ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Diharapkan pemerintah daerah lebih aktif di dalam melakukan pengedalian pemanfaatan ruang sehingga dapat mengurangi pelanggaran pemanfaatan ruang di wilayah Kabupaten Nias Barat.

Abstract

This in-depth study explores the critical role of ethics and professionalism in shaping the performance of a construction expert witness. In the complex context of the construction environment, where expert testimony significantly impacts dispute resolution, a profound understanding of ethics and professionalism becomes crucial. The research investigates how ethical aspects, such as integrity, transparency, and honesty, synergize with the level of professionalism of expert witnesses to create optimal performance. Through a qualitative research approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with experienced construction expert witnesses, which were then analyzed to identify relevant patterns and findings. The research findings provide profound insights into how the integrity and professional demeanor of an expert witness influence the validity and reliability of their testimony. The results offer practical guidance for construction professionals, lawyers, and other stakeholders to understand the importance of maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism in the context of construction expert testimony. Thus, this research contributes to the literature on professional ethics in construction law and lays the groundwork for the development of practical guidelines for expert witnesses.

Abstract

Technological developments, including electronic-based electrical equipment, have experienced rapid development in the last ten years. This equipment is found in buildings and industrial buildings as far as residential homes, generally alternating current (AC/Alternating Current) loads, including linear and nonlinear loads. The use of nonlinear loads causes a decrease in the quality of electrical power and shortens the life of electrical equipment. The new implementation of curriculum, Kampus Merdeka, in the electrical engineering study program majoring in electrical engineering, Bandung State Polytechnic, a new course in the curriculum, namely Electrical Power Quality, must be implemented. Creating a practical module simulator for electrical power quality in residential homes is necessary to support the teaching and learning process. This study aims to design and test the quality practice model of residential electrical power. The research method is using experimental methods. The result of this study for nonlinear loads, mixed load one and mixed load 2, have THDi and TDD values exceeding IEEE standard No. 19 of 2014 and have a True PF value smaller than Distortion PF. It shows that the electrical power quality of the residential simulator's electrical system is poor, so a passive filter or active filter is needed to improve the quality of electrical power in the residential simulator.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students with the discovery model, the learning outcomes of students with the expository model, and the comparison of learning outcomes between the two in class XI TITL students. The research design used a Posttest-Only Control Group Design with Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample consisted of two classes: XI TITL 1 (discovery) and XI TITL 2 (expository), each with 34 students. The results showed an average posttest of the discovery class of 83.7, while the expository class was 74.4. Hypothesis testing showed t count > t table for both cognitive (5.780 > 1.996) and psychomotor (13.353 > 1.996) data. Thus, the discovery learning model provides higher learning outcomes than the expository model.

Abstract

Rapid technological advancements in electrical engineering education require innovative learning media that bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, especially for complex topics such as low-power inverters. This study developed and evaluated an AI-integrated learning media for low-power inverters, utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The media's effectiveness was assessed through a single-group pretest-posttest design involving 40 undergraduate electrical engineering students. Validation by content and media experts deemed the media highly feasible, with an average feasibility percentage exceeding 85%. The implementation results showed a significant improvement in students' cognitive competencies, with the average test score increasing from 59.75 (pretest) to 83.20 (posttest) and an N-Gain of 0.59, which is categorized as moderate. A paired-sample t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) between the pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, students' perceptions were very positive, especially regarding material understanding, learning motivation, interactivity, and self-directed learning. The novelty of these findings demonstrates that integrating artificial intelligence into learning media is not only technically and pedagogically feasible but also effective in improving the learning outcomes of electrical engineering students. The developed media has the potential for broader application in engineering education and supports continued innovation in smart technology-based learning environments.
