Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengelolaan akun Instagram Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta untuk diseminasi informasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga konten value dalam pengelolaan konten: informative, educative, dan  entertainment yang dimanfaatkan melalui fitur Feed, Stories, dan Reels. Strategi ini meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna, meskipun terdapat kendala seperti respons rendah dan keterbatasan waktu pengelola. Kesimpulannya, Instagram adalah media strategis untuk meningkatkan visibilitas dan peran perpustakaan di era digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran pustakawan Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta dalam meningkatkan kualitas academic writing mahasiswa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan pustakawan telah berkembang menjadi fasilitator utama yang menyediakan lima modul pembelajaran literasi informasi yang telah melayani 495 mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi. Pustakawan menerapkan pendekatan konsultatif yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan spesifik tiap bidang keilmuan, dengan integrasi teknologi dan AI yang menekankan etika akademik. Program ini terbukti berdampak positif terhadap kualitas academic writing mahasiswa, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan bahasa dan kesenjangan teknologi. Penelitian ini membuktikan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi berperan aktif sebagai pusat pembelajaran yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas lulusan melalui pengembangan keterampilan penulisan akademik.

Abstract

Abstract: Social media has become essential for tourism promotion in this digital era. This research analyses the influence of social media platforms on tourism promotion in Bengkulu, using James S. Coleman's rational choice theory. This research uses a closed questionnaire given to 90 students who use social media to find a tourism destination. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis and percentage descriptive statistics. The results showed that the review of social media posts significantly influenced teenagers' interest in visiting a destination. 52.22% of respondents prefer Instagram as their travel reference, supported by reviews of tourist destinations in promotional posts. Tourism destinations that are active and creative in utilizing social media and have good reviews tend to have a higher level of interaction with potential tourists. The results of this study guide tourist destinations and tourism marketers to maximize the potential of social media in their promotion.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media brings new challenges for adolescents, one of which is an increased possibility of online gender-based violence. An adequate understanding of the definition, types, and effects of online gender-based violence is needed because adolescents, especially junior high school students, are a vulnerable group. Chi-square test analysis is a descriptive quantitative method used in this study. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 22 Bengkulu city. Symbolic interaction theory was used in this study to understand how students perceive online gender-based violence based on their experiences and social interactions. The results showed that students' understanding of online gender-based violence was good, with an average score of 4.00. Most students understood the definition, forms, and impacts of online gender-based violence and were aware that victims of online gender-based violence could come from various genders and ages. Students' knowledge was obtained through social media, education at school, and socialization from related institutions. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening sustainable gender-based digital education in schools to increase awareness and prevent online gender-based violence among adolescents

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of traditional gold mining in Lebong Tambang Village, Lebong District. This activity has been prevalent since the Dutch colonial era. To this day, local residents consider it their only option to meet their economic needs. This study aims to understand how the community interprets gold mining practices in their daily lives and to identify the factors that drive community involvement in this activity. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection instruments in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The theory used is Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory, which explains that community involvement in gold mining is influenced by causal motives, past experiences, inherited traditions, and family socioeconomic conditions that shape the view that mining is a natural and inherited occupation. Mining is also driven by the desire to fulfill life's needs (earn income), maintain family economic sustainability, and the community's lifeworld. This activity is considered a routine, social essence, and collective meaning that is naturally accepted in everyday life. Thus, mining is not merely an economic activity, but has become part of the social identity and traditions of the Lebong Tambang Village community.

Abstract

This study examines how former drug users in Bengkulu City experience and reconstruct social relations after rehabilitation. Rehabilitation does not end with medical treatment but continues in everyday interaction where acceptance, trust, and stigma are negotiated. Using a qualitative approach guided by symbolic interactionism, this study draws on in depth interviews and observation involving former drug users, family members, and rehabilitation staff. The analysis focuses on how meanings are formed through interaction and how these meanings shape post rehabilitation identity and social participation. The findings show that post rehabilitation social relations are rebuilt gradually through repeated interaction in family, community, and workplace settings. Family support plays a central role by providing symbolic recognition that legitimizes identity change, although it is often accompanied by supervision and conditional trust. Community relations tend to be ambivalent. Participation in social and religious activities can facilitate inclusion, while stigma and social memory continue to limit full acceptance. Institutional post rehabilitation programs, including mentoring and skills training, strengthen reintegration by offering both practical resources and social legitimacy. At the same time, persistent stigma and limited access to employment remain significant constraints. This study concludes that social reintegration after rehabilitation is an ongoing social process shaped by interaction, meaning making, and agency. By situating recovery within the semi urban context of Bengkulu City, this study contributes to sociological discussions on stigma, identity reconstruction, and social relations, and highlights the importance of strengthening family involvement, reducing community-based stigma, and sustaining inclusive post rehabilitation support.
