Abstract

Baduy people have local wisdom about the use of plants, among others, as ingredients to prevent the presence of rice pests (Oryza sativa L.). the importance of these pest-preventing plants to produce allelopathy in order to prevent rice pests (Oryza sativa L.). To find out what plants are used by Baduy people, this research is necessary. Exploration of pest control plants is carried out using the PEA (Participatory Ethnobotanical Appraisal) approach, besides that it also uses survey methods and open interview techniques. The results of the survey were 21 non-key informants and 5 key-informants from the Outer Baduy community and 12 non-key informants and 1 key informant from the Inner Baduy community, 35 species from 22 plant families were used in all rituals to prevent the presence of rice pests. . Plants that have similarities in usage by the Outer Baduy and Inner Baduy are Bamboo Wuluh leaves (Schyzostachyum iraten), Noni leaves (Morinda citrifolia), Bemban (Donax canniformis), Walang leaves (Achasma walang Val.) And Langge leaves (Homalomena cordata) . The percentages of plant organs used to prevent the presence of rice pests are leaves (77%), stems (17%) and fruit (6%). The method of processing plants as raw material for rice pest prevention ingredients is to cut them in small volumes / chop (39.74%), pound (52.56%), ferment (3.85%) and burn (3.85%). Baduy rituals in preventing the presence of rice pests include 5 types namely Ngubaran Samara Pungpuhunan ("Treatment" of Main Plants), Ngubaran Cangkudu ("Treatment" of Noni), Ngubaran Bangban ("Treatment" of Bemban / Donax canniformis), Fumigation, and Leuit Susumpingan (Lumbung offerings)

Abstract

Chlorophyll in Schleichera oleosa is important to observe because S.oleosa is a tree plant that is often found on the road as a green plant. This role requires sufficient chlorophyll to maximize plant function for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is supported by environmental factors. There are several environmental factors needed to maximize photosynthesis, namely altitude, humidity, ambient temperature, and light intensity. This study wanted to determine the effect of altitude, air humidity, ambient temperature, light intensity with chlorophyll content in S. oleose in several places. Altitude is measured using GPS. Measurement of air temperature and wind speed were measured using the Altimeter sights ler application version 2.0. Light intensity is measured using a lux meter. Soil moisture and soil pH were measured using a soil tester. Chlorophyll levels were measured using a spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 665 and 649, chlorophyll was calculated using the Wintermans and De Mots formula (1965). The results showed that chlorophyll content increased with increasing altitude. At the highest altitude of 833.6 m asl, the chlorophyll content is 53,770 with an ambient temperature of 270C which decreases at an altitude of 833.6 m asl.

Abstract

Consumer selection of quality food ingredients is an important part in determining the thayyib of food. This is not without reason considering that only quality food with the right quantity can support health. Therefore we need food that is safe for consumption, therefore choosing the right food is the focus that must be considered. Islam regulates this both normatively and operationally. This paper tries to review the thayyib narrations explained in the Koran which are then related to science. The method used in this study is thematic interpretation using a scientific approach. The results of the study show that the word thayyib does not only mean good and useful but is also selective in choosing the right food, whether it is to be consumed in the form of food that has been served or in the form of food ingredients.

Abstract

Casgot is one of the organic fertilizers resulting from the bioconversion process of organic waste by maggots and has great potential to provide additional nutrients for Pakchoy. Pakchoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a herbaceous plant with high economic value and market opportunities and a fast growth time. Optimal pakchoy growth is influenced by chlorophyll levels. The nutrient content in casgot will increase chlorophyll formation resulting in increased pakchoy growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of casgot on plant growth and chlorophyll levels of pakchoy (Brassica rapa L.). This research uses descriptive quantitative with a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments in this study consisted of K1 (positive control), K2 (negative control), A1 (mixed casgot 100 g), A2 (mixed casgot 150 g), B1 (rice casgot 100 g), B2 (rice casgot 150 g), C1 (vegetable casgot 100 g) and C2 (vegetable casgot 150 g). The data analysis used was ANOVA followed by DMRT 5% (Duncan Multiple Range Test) using SPSS. The results showed that the best quality of C, N, P, K and Mg came from casgot with mixed nutrient sources that met the SNI. The treatment of casgot A2 (150 g mixed) gave the best results in all the observed parameters, namely number of leaves (19.66), leaf area (109.68 cm), plant height (24.50 cm), wet weight (197 g), dry weight (13.66) g, and chlorophyll content (73.12 ppm) and gave an equivalent effect to the control treatment with urea.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore a model for transforming customary land into productive economic assets through waqf funding and Islamic banking. This approach is expected to create synergy between sharia principles and regional economic development. Using a case study with qualitative methods, the results show that the utilization of customary land through a productive waqf scheme supported by Islamic banking has great potential as a sustainable economic asset. This scheme provides a positive return on investment for indigenous communities, increases household income, and strengthens the regional economy. The main challenges are related to indigenous land regulations and community understanding of the concept of productive waqf. However, collaboration between waqf institutions, Islamic banks, and the government has proven effective in overcoming these obstacles. These findings confirm that transforming customary land with waqf funds and Islamic financing can support the sustainable well-being of indigenous communities, enhance economic self-reliance, and reduce dependence on external aid. More supportive education and regulations are needed for the effective and sustainable implementation of this model.

Abstract

Abstract Parenting styles play a crucial role in shaping a child's character and behavior, which in turn influences their future social and psychological life. In today's modern era, parenting patterns are increasingly influenced by a variety of factors, such as social changes, technological advancements, and shifts in cultural values. This study aims to explore Islamic perspectives on child-rearing practices in the context of contemporary society, with a focus on the fundamental principles of family jurisprudence. The methodology employed is a literature review, which analyzes both classical and modern interpretations of Islamic law, particularly those related to family jurisprudence, and examines their application in the context of child-rearing. The findings of this research indicate that Islamic law offers clear guidelines for raising and nurturing children, emphasizing the importance of balancing love, discipline, and religious education. Islam also stresses the protection of children's rights, including the right to quality education and a healthy environment. However, the challenges faced by parents in modern society—such as the influence of globalization, technology, and changing cultural values—require a rethinking of these principles to ensure they remain relevant and effective in guiding children. In conclusion, this study highlights that despite differences in cultural and social approaches, the principles of family jurisprudence continue to provide a solid foundation for establishing effective parenting strategies in the face of modern societal dynamics.
