Abstract

Kata kunci: protokol; kesehatan; sekolah; tatap mukaAbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, affecting various fields of life including education. Online schools are an alternative to prevent the spread of COVID-19, even though they have limitations in the teaching and learning process. As COVID-19 cases has decreased, face-to-face schools begun with the implementation of health protocols. The study purpose determined the differences in the implementation of health protocols in public and private elementary schools. The research method is mix method with explanatory sequential research design. The population of students from one public and one private elementary school in Bandung City, with a sample of 86 people selected purposively. Quantitative data collection uses questionnaires distributed to students to fill out. Qualitative data collection was carried out to each informant, a teacher from a public and private elementary school, using in-depth interviews and observation methods. Quantitative data analysis used the frequency distribution and U Mann Whitney differenence test. Qualitative data analysis through the process of description, reduction, connection, conclusion. The results showed that two-thirds of the students had good knowledge of COVID-19, as three fifths stated that the health protocol facilities were lacking, half of the students stated that the teachers set good examples, as three fifths stated that the socialization carried out well and only one-thirds students practiced good health protocols. There are significant differences in socialization and provision of health protocols facilities between public and private schools. There isn’t significant difference in knowledge, the example of the teacher, and practice of health protocols. Overall the implementation of the health protocol in public and private elementary schools is the same. All schools are expected to implement health protocols on an ongoing basis. Abstract

Introduction: Nutritional status during the critical period of 6–24 months relies heavily on appropriate Complementary Feeding (MP-ASI), a practice directly modulated by maternal health literacy. Objective: This study analyzed the correlation between maternal knowledge levels and complementary feeding patterns with the nutritional status of children aged 6–24 months in Central Lombok Regency. Method: This cross-sectional study involved 73 mothers selected via consecutive sampling in the Penujak Public Health Center area. Maternal knowledge and feeding patterns were assessed using validated questionnaires, while nutritional status (Length-for-Age) was derived from secondary data. Data were analyzed using the Spearman’s rho test. Result and Discussion: Stunting prevalence was critically high at 57.5%. Most mothers (50.7%) had 'moderate' knowledge. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between maternal knowledge and nutritional status (r=0.297; p=0.011). Furthermore, a moderately strong correlation was found between complementary feeding patterns and nutritional status (r=0.531; p<0.001). Conclusion: Complementary feeding practices serve as a stronger determinant of nutritional status than knowledge alone. Interventions must shift from passive education to operational strategies, such as cooking demonstrations of local menus and the reactivation of Toddler Mothers’ Classes (Kelas Ibu Balita) to improve practical feeding skills.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents currently face a double burden of malnutrition amidst a rapid transformation in digital health information. Conventional educational methods often fail to effectively engage Generation Z, a demographic with a distinct preference for visual and interactive learning formats. Objective: This study evaluated the effectiveness of a YouTube-based audiovisual intervention in improving knowledge and attitudes regarding balanced nutrition among adolescents in a boarding school setting. Method: This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. Participants comprised 88 students from MAPK Jabal Hikmah, an Islamic boarding school in East Lombok Regency, Indonesia, recruited via total sampling. The intervention consisted of a structured educational video aligned with the Indonesian Balanced Nutrition Guidelines (Pedoman Gizi Seimbang). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test due to the non-normal distribution of variables. Result and Discussion: The intervention yielded a statistically significant increase in nutrition knowledge (p < 0.001), with mean scores rising from 30,51 to 80,40. Attitude scores also demonstrated significant improvement (p < 0.001), increasing from 46,53 to 61,02. Notably, the proportion of students categorized as having a "good" attitude rose substantially to 98.9% post-intervention, compared to 39.8% at baseline. Conclusion: YouTube-based audiovisual interventions are an effective and efficient digital health promotion strategy for enhancing adolescent nutrition literacy. Future studies should incorporate a control group to strengthen internal validity and generalizability.

Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls remains a public health problem that affects growth, cognitive development, and productivity. Adequate knowledge about anemia plays an essential role in its prevention and control. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between individual and environmental characteristics and anemia knowledge among adolescent girls in Bandung City and Regency. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted using secondary data from the Hi-Bestie Project 2 involving 1,102 senior high school students. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test, and multivariate analysis was conducted using logistic regression. The results showed that family support, school support, and school location were significantly associated with anemia knowledge (p < 0.05). The most influential factor was family support (OR = 0.26; 95% CI: 0.14–0.50). The study concludes that family and school environments play a crucial role in improving adolescent girls’ knowledge about anemia. Therefore, health promotion programs should actively involve families and educational institutions to strengthen anemia prevention education
